Our experience at Northmoor has differed significantly over the past year. There are circumstances affecting our POV. however as a district with as much accolades as Northmont, there are things that are a NEVER should happen. Happening.

My children love their school. We have not had any issues and have been overall very happy here.

I have two children who have attended here and I am really struggling to find some way to disagree with the first two negative reviews I read on this site about the school, but I can’t. The mentions of bullying and poor academic standards are honest. Bullying is endemic at this school and the low standards have always been there since my children have started attending, the pandemic only made it worse. The school is very good at pandering to parents until the problem disappears or the school year ends or you just stop pestering them. It’s honestly the worst. I would not recommend this school to any parent of a child I cared about.

Teachers have no regard to a child’s iep/504 plan. They don’t care.

If picking on other kids is ok to their standards of integrity and compassion, then absolutely.

If your child is on a iep/504 plan, stay away from this school.

1/10 is all I can give it. My son has a iep/504 plan and he is constantly singled out and nitpicked by the teachers. Tried to talk to those above the teacher and was shot down. Said pretty much it was all my sons fault. In their eyes Their precious Northmont city schools district can’t do anything wrong. My son Now hates school and grades have dropped. He’s in trouble CONSTANTLY for things he can’t help. Please if your child has a learning disability stay away from Northmont, for your child’s sake.

No real challenges presented to students who show any aptitude for learning.... teachers perform at a bare minimum of expectations

Mediocre at best.... One day my daughter came home from 2nd grade.... had a substitute teacher in "tech" class. (typing).. Entire class was devoted to making paper airplanes... Is this what NORTHMOOR considers educational... I asked if there was any GEOMETRY or PHYSICS lesson attached to it... she said NO.. just made airplanes the entire classtime.. teacher did NOT interact with students.. just demonstrated one time how to make an airplane... is this NORTHMOOR's idea of a QUALITY EDUCATION...?
