Their answer to bullying is to ignore it completely and coddle aggressors while telling my child to document any offenses, just to do nothing.

Heaven forbid you have a gifted kid and ask for enrichment opportunities. The school will not test for giftedness or offer advanced studies.

Were having a horrible experience at Waynesville Middle School. Teachers are always tardy or don't even show up. the teachers who are absent don't even call in substitutes! Some of the teachers have been there so long that they have given up trying to teach the kids anything. It's just a paycheck to them...yay tenure!

Honestly this was the biggest mistake of my son's education. Not only did the teachers not really teach but they seem to blame the child for their mistakes. No wonder the retention of teachers and school administrations seems to become worse by the week. I tried working with my son's teacher and even asked for her assistance in help him improve. She just gave me a blank stare like I was speaking another language. They have young educators starting their teaching careers here or something because I have never seen the lack or nurturing education in my life from a teacher with experience. When I asked her what about tutoring she said more worksheets! Don't put your child in this school because not only do they deny them bathroom use and at times lunch meals. They also deny them a learning experience. When we finally moved and my son got to attend another school district that had Counselors and caring teachers and school administration, all his teacher said he was way behind in his learning from Wayne Local Schools.

Teacher's are exemplary. They work well with IEP, and the communication is superb. Unfortunately, as a result of divorce my son went to several different schools over a two year period and struggle as all of them. However once he got to Waynesville he excelled. His grade have increased every quarter along with his self esteem, and he has made many close friends. Waynesville is an absolutely wonderful district and truly believes in the "village raises the child" mentality. If you desired a more conservative atmosphere where you child will grow up with traditional morals and values instead of a false sense of entitlement than Waynesville is your number one choice in the Miami Valley.

I went to Waynesville schools for eight years and it was the worst experience of my life. I got wonderful grades and the teachers were kind, but the students were rude and disrespecful. I was bullied to no end.The teachers never were able to handle it either. I moved to another school four years ago and I now have tons of friends. The only explaination; it's not Waynesville.
