Poor all across the board. At first the school was very welcoming but as the years went by it has turned into a circus. They have no business enrolling children with IEPs or 504 plans as they can not accommodate them as they should. Your child will not be protected at this school if the staff doesnt like them. If your child has any attitude towards them anything that happens to your child is their own fault. The quality of education was terrible. No textbooks to use at home but weekly homework that the children hardly understood. Low test scores,lack of after school activities. Staff is constantly changing. The principal is a real piece of work. She lacks general knowledge when it comes to anything educational wise. Save your time .enroll at Emerson or Ruskin. And transportation was an issue almost everyday.

At first, I loved this school, coming from Fairborn, OH even as a public school graduate and success, I was very nervous about sending my child to a public school. DLA was there for us. It wasn't until reached 4th grade that I began to get nervous about the academics. As we all know public schools that under perform are sometimes pressured to teach for the test. I began to notice my son was lacking in subjects such as social studies and it broke my heart to learn that this subject is supposed to be picked up during reading activities. I am pulling my child from this school, but with so much sadness. The school needs help and is not getting the adequate funding and support it needs. This school has so much potential. There needs to be some sort of planning to help this school continue to reach their goals.
