I graduated from DC after attending for 12 years and I can confidently say I hated 80% of my time there. Admin is insanely traditional, treats their teachers/faculty horribly. Sexism and racism run rampant. I agree with others here that the teachers are one of the only good things about this school. Arts are severely underfunded. My main concern is the culture of shielding students from the truth, whether it be sex education, how the school makes decisions, or science/religion in general. Very narrow minded views taught here, students are not allowed to think for themselves. After going on to university I feel extremely behind academically and I had to take it upon myself to catch up despite that being the job of my high school. The dress code is also insane. Students get violations for wearing cardigans without an embroidered logo on them…even though the school is kept so cold you cannot focus without another layer. And for a school so obsessed with “modesty”, shouldn’t you appreciate my extra layer of clothing?

Parents are dismissed when concerns are brought to the admin's attention. Admin doesn't want to look at improving how things are run. Admin wants to ignore any issues rather than deal with them. Parents aren't notified when their student has received an infraction and discipline is not developmentally appropriate. We are pulling our child out of this school after 4 years of enrollment and know of several other students leaving after this year due to the toxic environment and how admin handles issues.

Run far away from this school. Admin has ALWAYS been a mess, I know because I sent my children there for thirteen years. Teaching is wildly outdated, dress code is absurd, and administration is HIGHLY discriminatory. If you are not a donor family kid, you will be neglected. Tuition prices raise each year and for no reason. The teachers are the only bright side; though a handful are certainly a handful, most are very caring despite being stretched thin. Not worth the money. Not worth the indoctrination either.

This school is extraordinary!!! I can put it no other way. I’ve been going since kindergarten and let me tell you I love it. The kids are so sweet, they have always been. There was a time when I had no friends, and I felt very alone, and then suddenly I formed an unbreakable and unforgettable friendship. I’ll never forget how they changed my life and I still interact with them on a daily basis. Every school has its faults for sure, but at DC you feel welcomed and loved beyond belief. We certainly aren’t perfect, not by a long shot but what makes us different is Christ. The curriculum, every classroom is based on God and his divine truths. Kids are confident and can be who they are and liked for that. Some people hate DC but in my experience it’s because they aren’t trying or their parents aren’t. My family and I love it and I absolutely recommend it!!!

Dayton Christian is a very supportive school that does not condone bullying. I have experienced the wrath of public schools and can tell you first hand that Dayton Christian cares about their students. It is a genuinely uplifting community and works to build people up rather than breaking them down.

Well, Dayton Christian has a problem with nepotism due to the majority of the students having relation to the staff, directors and donors. This being said academics, sports and activity are favored toward them ESPECIALLY in the high school. This school being titled as a Christian school does not behave so. Drugs, assaults, and extreme racism exist here. I transferred my son and I’m glad I did because recently some things have happened. I and manny, have written reviews that have been removed for telling the facts. I believe most of the positive reviews were placed by staff also.

Really just nothing good to say about this school. They allow Bullying and it’s not a Christian environment. Sad they use God in this way but it’s normal for F Bomb’s to be heard in the Hallways and Classrooms. We had 6 yrs of education and paid $7500 to $8500 per yr. It’s sad that at the time we thought it was our best option. Trust me it’s not. Home School if possible.

We LOVE Dayton Christian! My boys have been attending the school for the past 2 years and we couldn't be happier here! The teachers are so loving and kind, committed to the academic success of their students and make their spiritual growth a priority. Likewise, we've been so impressed with the administration at this school. They've navigated the covid-pandemic with clear direction and conviction. It's been such an incredible blessing to be at this school and we've met so many wonderful families here! I'd highly recommend this school if you are looking for superior academics and a faithful commitment to God's Word.

This school has been nothing but wonderful in the past 5 years that my child has attended. Every teacher has been wonderful, loving and encouraging to my child and has helped them grow and learn. Teachers truly care about the kids learning and growing and their faith. Yes the building is older and constantly has things being updated and lined up to be repaired but what school doesn't? Things break and change even in a brand new school. Yes there are some sour apples in the bunch but where aren't there? I would highly recommend DC and feel like anyone looking into it should take these reviews with a grain of salt and do your own research and visits.

I used to be a teacher at Dayton Christian. It was really hard, as they do not pay their staff members fairly at all, and the students are disrespectful and oftentimes rude. Staff turnover is constant, and it is because they pay so low compared to any other school in the region. The administration, specifically the Cabinet members and Head of School, make decisions without asking the teachers for their opinion, resulting in horrible plans and causing a rift within the faculty. Any teacher or staff member with different ideas than the administration is immediately silenced, and some have even been fired over silly arguments, simply because the administration does not want to hear from anyone who does not agree with the ideals of the 1950’s. Oftentimes racism is overlooked, with some faculty even making racist comments. The student body is predominantly caucasian, and it is incredibly obvious. I felt that I had to quit, between a horrible environment and the unfair pay. Please strongly consider before working there, or sending your student there.

We had a horrible experience at DC. I am shocked because my brothers and I attended years ago and it was good. It hurts my heart to even go in detail about our experience, so I won't. But let's just suffice it to say - steer clear of this school, especially if you don't want to experience bullying and if your child has any kind of learning differences. Also, I want to mention here, I gave an in depth review on their site and they removed it. Not very Christian of them to basically be lying about genuine parents reviews. Also, notice on this site how the only positive come from teachers/administrators. That should tell you something.

AVOID THIS SCHOOL The fighting, theft and drug use is so bad at Dayton Christian; they have hired a full-time police officer to patrol the school for the 2020-2021 school year. The administration refuses to communicate with the parents. The student population is not a balanced mix of races. I'm aware that it shouldn't matter, but unfortunately, it does because having one race dominate in numbers causes problems for the remaining different races. There are frequent physical fights in the school too. Students are not monitored very well in the halls either, allowing the bully students to push and literally stampeded through the halls. You'd have to see the chaos to believe it. I WAS STUNNED seeing what my children go through every day at school. The students know that there are no consequences or punishments given to bullies even when bullying is clearly happening at school. There is theft and fights on a daily basis at Dayton Christian. If you want your kids to be in a safe environment DON'T SEND THEM HERE!!!

This school is a complete and utter embarrassment to Christian Education. We have had many experiences with other schools and districts due to military moves. Dayton Christian is by far-- and I mean BY FAR-- the absolute worst experience we have ever had. It was terrible to send our children there every day and have to feel like they were false-faced and anti-parent. All in all, if you are considering moving to this area, be sure to check out other Dayton area private schools before settling for the sub-standard education Dayton Christian has to offer. We read these bad reviews and we enrolled the kids at DC anyway, thinking that the reviews might not give a true perspective of the school. They do. This school has totally lived up to the bad reviews and then some. We are moving our children out of there-- it is THAT bad.

Dayton Christian continues to turn over staff and principals. Teachers don't stay at the school because they are only offered part-time contracts within grade levels that have low student numbers. DC hired a pastor to teach senior high Bible, but only offered a part time contract to the junior high Bible teacher. The band teacher was only offered a part time contract. Why is DC spending so much money on a new gym and only offering part time contracts to talented teachers?

Horrible !! Some of the staff members are bullies, and some students are also bullies. My son and I have been complaining about this bullying situation over a year now and our concerns fall on deaf ears. Since I am a parent with a strong character and yes a big voice they all seem to think that my son is not worth the time. If the parents don't start listening to their children's cry for help then Dayton Christian will get away with a lot of wrong doing. As for me Im fighting this with higher power. God is with me. I read all the reviews before I wrote my own and I see there are really only two scores - 1's or 5's. That is because if you are in the "inner core", a donor or board member or you're related by blood to those who are (nepotism reigns supreme here), then you are set up and you'll have a great experience. If you're not, then you really don't matter. I don't know what's going on in the elementary, but in the high school, there is no stability. They can't keep a principal for longer than a year or two. We just found out that our high school principal is moving down to the elementary and our assistant principal resigned. You have to wonder why that is. The academics are poor, the teachers have low morale, and I have to wonder why I am paying $9200 a year just so my kid can go to chapel and Bible classes. I expected so much more when I enrolled my student in this school. The reputation of the head of school is that he doesn't really care about you unless you're a donor and he doesn't really understand academics. He develops a lot of committees, but they don't really accomplish anything. Math and science are especially weak, unfortunately. There are some teachers who truly care, but there are getting to be less and less of them. The good ones are retiring or finding other positions. I love the idea of Christian education, but it is poorly done here.

It just depends upon the teacher. Most times it depends upon who your child is. If they are non -white you have to really stay on top of them to assure your child is treated fairly.

This used to be a good school. However, the new principals have changed the morale of the school. Staff and teachers seem unhappy and many good teachers are leaving or have already left. The several times I have interacted with the elementary principal he has been rude and condescending. My children both complain about his attitude and treatment of the students. There is also a huge bullying problem in this school.

Dayton Christian, although average academically, they fail to be inclusive. African American students get lost in the shuffle. They don't have any African American teachers and don't seem to plan on hiring anyone. They are more concerned with petty things than a child’s character. The same kids get chosen for all performances despite other kids being just as good at performing. My child was exposed to an extremely inappropriate situation, and I wasn't informed until my child told me. They constantly beg for money for everything. They are also extremely Cliquish and cater heavily to students and parents who contribute the most money to the building fund or athletics.

This was a great school years ago, but is far below average since the former principasl left. Too many teachers are focused on control/ punishment, the religion has become fear based, they fall behind public schools academically in the higher grades. It seems the teachers and staff are looking for ways to catch children doing something wrong, then follow up with some form of public humiliation as punishment. We hoped that they could bring it back to what it once was, but chose to leave when we found it to be harmful emotionally, academically and spiritually to our children.

I found a letter where my child wrote saying, Please God tomorrow is a new day let the kids be nice to me. I didn't know how bad it was for my child until we went to a great school that advocated for all kids. Parents rule the school. Seeing as Dayton Christian label themselves a Christian school, they should operate as a ministry based on Biblical principles. We should've checked the reviews before enrolling our child. This school care more about their self-image and making money than they do about the students themselves. They expect 5 yr olds to act perfect, leaving no room for normal kid-like curiosity or mistakes. Then the kids are shunned and pushed out when they don't measure up. And the other reviews are right on about status, financial or otherwise. It's sad.

Sending our son and daughter to Dayton Christian was one of the best choices my husband and I made for our kids. Our son and daughter are both DC grads who are currently enrolled in college. DC prepared our kids for their academic future, and more importantly, for their Christian walk. Our family has had several conversations about the lasting impact DC has had on all of our lives. Christian education is such an important part of a child's life, and DC is a great option to meet that need!

I was absolutely shocked when my child attended Dayton Christian. This school is a bad example of a Christian educational institution. As Christians, we expected teachers to demonstrate Godly values such as compassion and equality. Christian values are overlooked and ignored at Dayton Christian. I've been a part of this school system for 12 years. It has been a wonderful experience. My child loves this school. To him it feels like family. Is it perfect? No, but no school is. These teachers actually care about the whole student, mind, body and spirit. They instill the same Christian values that we instill at home. Upon graduation, I feel that my child will be equipped with the tools needed to be a productive member of society, to be successful, to give back and to make his mark on the world. I am thankful for Dayton Christian in helping me to Proverbs 22:6

Some of the teachers will give class time for the students to get a jump start on their homework. Others will not assign homework on the weekends because they want that time to be spent with family. At times there can be a lot of homework but no more than any other high school.

We have had nothing but problems with the Administrators here. Our children have been in gifted education all their lives, and they never get in trouble. At Dayton Christian, our children are harassed by the teachers because they get bored when they finish their work and are not allowed to read a book. The elementary principal told me my kids “have a heart problem and that I need to read The Proverbs to them.” No, they are gifted students who Dayton Christian said they could support and educate. When the other students get out of control by punching or stabbing with pencils, those students are not disciplined and is nothing done about it. Save yourself the headaches and heartaches and find another school for your family.

My son is in all AP classes. He gets straight A's, yet he never brings home a book. He said when they do get a home assignment, they get class time to do it, which does not make sense to me. Why is this allowed in an advanced placement class? Shouldn't the students be studying at home?

There is a student who randomly hits, punches, and stabs other students with pencils. My kid had to go to the doctor to get the pencil lead taken out of his arm. This kid is still there hurting other students. The principal would not return my phone calls about this incidence of my kid getting pencil stabbed.

The teachers do not like direct communication with the parents, in turn, the students are hard to discipline and have no desire to learn. Teachers do not return parent phone calls or emails. Be sure to have open communication with your child about their school day because it has been documented that if they are sick and want to go to the nurse, there has been instances where your children will be called liars by the teachers and kept in class and you, as the parent, will not be notified.

This school is nothing but bully drama. Almost everyday there is a fight with kids randomly hitting people for fun. Talking to principal doesn't do anything but make the situation worse, because he goes back and tells the person you are complaining about, what you've said... that adds more trouble.

The teachers act as children themselves and participate in the "buddy system" or "clicking up" by having favorite students. If your child doesn't meet their standard of normal they will be mistreated. If you love your child... do not send them to this horrible school. Do not say you were not sincerely warned.

The school has been great for developing Christian character in our children. As a military family, we have lived all over the world and our children have attended many different schools. DC has been great for spiritual growth and has been the best school for our family. The families and the community has been very welcoming and supportive.

My experience with Dayton Christian has been fantastic! From the teachers, to the core values, to the serving opportunities...it has been a blessing to our family and our community. We believe it is worth every penny. “These commandments I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up...” This is our family verse and I believe Dayton Christian helps us live this out. We are grateful for these teachers and the administrators and the parents...all who pour into these kids, praying over them and their lives. What leadership? If you ask the principal for help communicating with a teacher he tells you to "follow the chain of command" and keep talking to the teacher. You mean send 20 more emails and leave 30 more voice mails and then you'll help?

Either the parents need to be able to see the assignments as they are given online or written instructions need to be sent with the homework. Dayton Christian uses a hodge podge of computer programs that are supposed to make homework better. Most of the teachers are still learning the homework computer programs even though it's been several years since these computer "improvements" have been implemented. Teachers differ as to inputting homework into the computer homework systems, so some classes allow parents to view what their child is working on while others make it anyone's guess.

All but 1 of my child's teachers here prove that don't care about the kids. Only one teacher even bothers to input the grades. Then when parents question, sometimes your concern will be addressed. Sometimes, not so much. There's only one teacher that communicates with me, the others do not respond to emails even if it's fairly important.

Teachers have been fired for disagreeing with the principal by advocating for the students. The students have lost many art and band teachers who were talented and dedicated because the only way administration deals with conflict is to remove those who disagree with them.

When a parent asks to see teacher feedback on homework; the teachers will not discuss or email about the homework. This is because most homework remained ungraded or just ignored or "lost" by teachers. This leads to stress and confusion among students and parents. How is a kid supposed to study for test, quizzes and exams if they don't know whether or not the homework is correct?

The school ignores bullying if the student bullying has a wealthy parent who financially contributes to the gym building fund. My kid was horribly bullied by a student whose parent owns an air conditioning company. I brought evidence to the principal and administration and absolutely nothing was done.

Near the end of the 2017-2018 school year, the teachers just gave up and for the last 4 months of school they just put on movies for the students or let them use their phones. The only exception to this was the science teacher who had an actual spine and made the kids work.

Dayton Christian is not providing the proper education to the students. Leadership in this school is lacking, and many of the students do what they want. There are no rules, students use cell phones in the school (look in Facebook), use foul language in front of teachers (ask your children), cut classes in the bathrooms , and for some reason students are seen around the neighborhood before school ends(ask the people who live there). Its sad to know that no one who works in the school has taken any kind of responsibility to notice these things.

We had a terrible time getting the elementary principal to do anything about the verbal bullying my son is receiving. The principal would bring in both boys for a "pow-wow" - his words, not mine to discuss the bullying. Starting in November 2017 of last year to now , this was all that was ever done. There have been 13 separate occasions when the bullying would get so bad my son would come home crying. We will not be returning to Dayton Christian. My son’s teacher, when i tried talking to her about her student bullying my son, responded "what do you want ME to do about it?" Another Mom whose child was being bullied was told by the board president that Dayton Christian does not have a bullying policy.

The current elementary principal has a condescending attitude, and when problems are brought to him, instead of trying to solve them, he blames the parents. There are some amazing parent volunteers who really do what they can to help out, but it's tough when the Principal treats parents as adversaries rather than as resources. Another major problem I have is that there is no gym for PE classes and no place for kids to play when there is bad weather during recess.

The main issues with Dayton Christian are with the Administration and Teachers. Unfortunately, it has been a revolving door every single new school year with new leadership and poor teachers. The facility is aging but clean. There is no gymnasium. The teachers are not functioning at a level a parent paying this much tuition would reasonably expect. The Athletic Coaches have been disappointing. The few who are good are not paid at the level they deserve and then leave for better situations. The School is having financial problems and tuition and fees have gone up dramatically over the last 5 years. The school leadership does a terrible job helping students transitioning to College. They go through the motions but very little substance. Many parents are disappointed in the Administration, Athletic Director and Teachers. I would caution Parents to do their research and check into other private schools that will be a much better investment in your child's education.

I am so glad to be out of Dayton Christian when the school year ends. Take the word of a student here: the more negative the reviews are, the more realistic they are. There are many reasons so many people have left DCS or are leaving. They cut down to 2 principals because enrollment keeps declining.

I get no help from teachers with my homework even when I have questions I need answered to do the assignment. I had strep throat that spread through my body and I was out sick for a very long time. They wouldn't give extra time even when my Mom asked.

For such a small school, it is VERY impersonal. I have kids there right now and let me tell you how rude and cold most of the staff and most of the teachers are to the parents, unless you are a major financial contributor. The school is a big bureaucracy and they really don't care about the people who send kids there, unless again if you are a generous donor. Teaching quality is inconsistent, as are the grade curricula. Many (most?) kids get outside tutoring - and their families can well afford it.

I thought my child was the only one having a difficult time adapting to the teacher. No, other parents and students have the same struggle with her. This teacher is not warm and caring. I have tried everything from phone calls to requested meetings and have gotten no response from the principal or the teacher. This has proven to be a challenge with my child wanting to go to school vs. having to go. :-(. We are leaving at the end of this school year along with many other families.

My daughter has learned a lot since she started at this school. Unfortunately the school TOLERATES BULLIES! My daughter is being bullied and instead of fixing the problem the PRINCIPAL suggested for us to find different school since we think our daughter is not safe at theirs. A lot of student are being bullied and it was never been discovered so they resort at harming themselves. We did not take any more chances but moved her to a different school with a good/safe environment. She is happy where she is now.

Although I've never had to deal with bullying, I desire to take moments when words of anger are spoken or friends get upset at each other and turn them into lessons. I like to teach my students how Jesus would like us to act when someone makes us upset and what to do to fix their particular problem without making it worse. It's so rewarding to see them finally get it and watch the apologies unfold and resolutions happen without my interfering.

Dayton Christian School offers a unique opportunity that our family has taken advantage of for the past 13 years. They offer the chance for homeschoolers to be a part of the Dayton Christian family through their K-8 program with EXCEL days and on campus electives. They also have an option for homeschooled high schoolers to take classes on campus and participate in sports, fine arts, and extra curricular options. The students and staff are welcoming of the homeschool students, and this has provided our family a great mix of homeschooling and classroom experience. In addition to this option, the teachers and staff at the school care for the students on a personal level and challenge them to grow as students as in their faith. Dayton Christian School has been a huge blessing for our family.

All of my kids have attended or are attending DC with one being a college student who has been fully prepared for rigorous college academics. The teachers are loving and caring and pour into my kids each and every day. It is not a perfect place but it is a place where they strive to love our children and show them what it means to live for Christ. The kids that attend are also not perfect and therefore make mistakes, but I know those mistakes are dealt with in way that reflects the grace and mercy we have all been shown by our loving Savior.

My son was in a classroom with a child with autism. There was no support for this student or this teacher. As a result, the teacher yelled all the time at the student with autism. When the other kids needed attention, she yelled at them too. When things get bad, the teacher sends for the principal and she yells at the kids too.

For my gifted child, my child's teacher actually complained during the parent teacher conference that my child did too much, too comprehensive of work. First time I've ever had that complaint from a teacher. The extra mile and curiosity is discouraged at this school.

The education at Dayton Christian is so bad, that I felt like I hadn't gone to school the years that I had been there. Only a few teachers work hard and some kids learned. I was unprepared for college and there was no college counseling or academic counseling. I had to take many “make up” classes in college before I was ready to take real classes in college. I would not recommend going here. It is however quite helpful with certain disabilities. All of my knowledge is from my past schools. I do not recommend Dayton Christian.

I graduated from Dayton Christian. I am now a senior in college. DC is supposed to be one of the better Christian schools but honestly the education I received was average, if that. I was an A/B student at DC and had to take many remedial classes in college to get me prepared for actual college classes. I had to take 9 semesters of remedial classes. Dayton Christian is rife with nepotism. Type casting by teachers is an issue though and if you are perceived as being anything less than a teacher’s pet you aren't really given much of a chance. The teachers were hit or miss. I had one really great and dedicated teacher that left lasting impressions on me. Most of the teachers were lazy and I wondered how they even had a job at all. I hope this helps future parents and students. I can only speak from my own personal experience and I'm being as honest as I possibly can.

The school is filled with loving people, faculty and staff, that want to see every student succeed. I recommend the school with the highest of ratings. Horrible school!!! We had an awful time at this school and the teachers were very unhelpful with our concerns. They ignored our emails and didn't care. Sad when they don't care how the students or parents feel.

The school was in good shape for a few years for my older kids, but has quickly declined in the last 4-5 years. Administration is the problem here. The administration supports star athletes over kids with academic goals. If you have a two-parent family, don't expect anything in the way of assistance if your kid struggles in any way - you're kid has much more support at home than many of the students here, and you will be low or no priority to them. Many of the good teachers have left. There are still several good teachers there. Not sure how much longer they'll put up with lousy administration.

Both my girls go here. I thought that this school was going to be great for them. But i was so wrong. My child is shy and gets told to speak up and participate by the teachers. She is now to afraid to ask for help. And my one in the lower grade is on the break of falling bc they wont give me straight answers. I have asked for help to better understand her homework so i can help her. They wont give it. This school has my girls hate going to school everyday. They love going just BC of their friends. As a parent you have to be on your A game to make sure that your kids are doing what they need to do and be on top of the teachers.

This school is an absolute disappointment! They seem to care more about teaching kids how to "Dabb" and "Whipp" more than anything! The children do not go outside for recess. There’s always take home flyers about some silly scheme to get money out of us. EVERY test that gets sent home, I have to check because the teacher has graded it incorrectly. If I did not go behind her my child would have D's and F's instead of being the only one in his class with all A's! Our first grader can tell you all about Beyonc ; however, he has not even been taught the months of the year. We are doing everything we can to get our children out of this ridiculous place. They consistently let him write his letters backwards and incorrectly, they do not make him spell words correctly. Most of the work he brings home is completely illegible!

Be careful and informed Parents! I have spent 9 years teaching my daughter how important attendance is. Her class has a sub at least 2 to 3 times a week. She complains that the classroom is so loud at times that she cannot focus, especially when there is a substitute and the kids are not made to follow even the most basic rules.

i don't even know where to start. i don't feel that the kids learn anything at this school. the teachers are to busy trying to be cool and be the students friend. they are not in control as only effident by the numerous fights that broke out at the school this year. i believe the teachers and faculty are overwhelmed by the problem and don't know where to start in the effort to gain control. i am appalled at the lack of security measures in place at that school and what measures they do have available for use are not being used correctly or to their fullest potential. and when i asked my student what they did/learned at school today they tell me they either watched a movie or made prank phone calls or some other non-educational activity. i would not recommend this school to anyone.

I have been a part of the school as a student, alumnus, faculty spouse, school parent and now admin assistant. I have seen this school inside and out and still love Dayton Christian. My family knows first hand that many fine people make up the staff and faculty of Dayton Christian. My children were taught by teachers who really cared and have formed life long friendships with their classmates. I will always be thankful for the love that was poured into my children through DC.

There is a massive lack of trust between teachers and students. This is demonstrated when they do "dress checks" to make sure that they aren't breaking the very strict dress code.

AS I DC parent and follower of Chirst I would hope that no one bases what kind of person I am now according to how I behaved or what I did 23 years ago. As Christians we all strive to become who Christ wants us to be and to grow in Him. I believe DC is a great learning institution and is growing and changing, as should we, all the time. I am a full supporter of Christian education. DC is preparing students for eternity!

My three daughters have attended Dayton Christian since pre-k. My daughters are currently in sixth, tenth, and eleventh grades. I love the fact that they can all attend on the same campus. The teachers at Dayton Christian truly teach with love in thier hearts.

Nonsense rules applied to students as punishment. Some students are required to follow rule code and others are permitted to do whatever they want. If your family does not sponsor sports you will be treated bad. If you child is quiet or shy they will be picked on by staff.

Dayton Christian is in my opinion the premier school in the area and I greatly feel that the tuition expenses are worth the investment. I appreciate the strict and academically challenging culture and get a sense from my children that they are well cared for in a nurturing environment. I observed first hand how the children look after one another and motivate each other, essentially as brothers and sisters. This school is the one major reason we continue to live in the area. I expect to continue to see progress in sports infrastructure.

I have many friends who come from differing backgrounds, ethnicities, and denominations within the Christian faith who have either worked, volunteered or have sent their children to Dayton Christian and have had nothing but positive experiences. A pastor friend of mine went to DC, as did his wife and eventually all three of their children and he still supports the school to this day. I would say if you want your child to attend a school that reinforces the Christian faith and instills Godly values, I would highly recommend Dayton Christian.

DC is a great school where teachers are pointing students to Christ while striving for high academics. The math program has improved greatly with its Mathletes program which is open to any student. It gave my child a team to be on that was not sports related. I believe most of the negative responses were from parents who wanted to control things in the classroom or at the school. No school is perfect but I feel great about the educational experience as my 3rd and final child just graduated.
