DIS was wonderful under the leadership of Shaad Ahmed. Following his departure, Sophia Shalash was leading the school to great places until the board pushed her out. While there are some lovely teachers, DIS faculty and staff include discriminatory, judgemental, and unkind individuals. My child was belittled and stifled by teachers, and good teachers have left this school due to the problems they have experienced. The entire board should be replaced. Be aware that the leadership covers up serious incidents such as a gun scare at this school that was attempted to be kept secret from teachers and parents by the principal (the weapon later determined by Beavercreek police to be a BB gun). Other things were covered up and when children reported to their parents, the leadership of this school actively gaslit kids and parents. Ultimately I decided it was not a healthy or safe environment for my child.

this school is amazing. this school is no doubt the best in ohio. i one-hundred percent recommend this school to your children if you wan them to be smart. this school is very cheap and effective. the initials D.I.S. stands for descinigrated intelligence standard which i think completes th school in three words. Br. shade is the most kind person in the world and i hope he lives a long life to associate the government and decrease taxes because dayton islamic school is sweet

not for Muslims with out money. not good principal .teachers the afraid to deal with 4 years old kid ask me to take her home on the first day because she was crying ...vey disappointed.

Well rounded school offering core subjects as well as Islamic education. The students are well prepared.

The principal of this school, Br. Shaad is a fantastic leader, kind and caring, as are all of the teachers. My son has learned so much this year, academically and spiritually. The experiences here many -- interfaith, science fair, spelling bee, math club, international day... The coach is intense and has even the little ones dribbling and the PTO is extremely involved.

The Dayton Islamic School is a great school! The teachers and staff are caring and go out of their way to know each child on an indiviual basis.
