This school is not a safe space at all for faculty or students. Preferential treatment is given to students who exude negative behaviors repeatedly towards teachers and other peers, behaviors that are both physical (hitting, throwing objects) and mental.
Upper management (team leads, and the principal) are not supportive when safety issues are brought up and view questioning them as insubordination instead of a viable concern. These kids that repeatedly demonstrated not making the best choice still remained in school with no real disciplinary action.
The school is filled with nepotism in which many staff have their kids attending the same school in which they work. And as a teacher that made it extremely uncomfortable to teach or redirect behaviors especially when those children belong to your boss.
The turnover rate for faculty is very high and I can't blame teachers for wanting to leave this school. Underpaid, undervalued, and under supported.
If you love teaching and love your children do not send them to ANY Achievement First school.

My children have grown so much at Promesa. The staff keep me informed of progress and want family engagement. My kids are happy to go her each day. Achievement First Promesa is amazing.
