Most classes are just busy work with assignments made by chatgpt, except for the few teachers who actually do their jobs. Recent drills sounded excessively real scaring most students, and there's not much material to learn overall. 1.9/5

My son receives an adequate amount of homework that enables him to reinforce what is being taught in the classroom. We are pleased with his performance at Cranston East.

We have had a lot of great experiences when it comes to communicating with teachers regarding our concerns. Couldn't ask for better teachers.

Students know what the expectations are. They seem to follow them for the most part. When children break rules, they are reprimanded.

Leadership at the school has been responsive to our concerns. They also seem genuinely concerned about our concerns.

Haven't heard of bullying at East. Can't comment.

Our experience has been way better than expected. I guess it comes down to the student and the values being instilled at home. If your child is not a follower, he or she will be fine. They have a great Honors and AP program.

I graduated from Cranston High School East in 1972. I received and excellent education. I furthered my education and became a doctor. No, it was not easy, but it was not that hard either. The reason is because of all of the great teachers and curriculum that I had at CHSE. The only purpose that the teachers had was to ensure that the students received an excellent education and knew the material. I had a chemistry teacher who stayed after school one night until 5:00 p.m. to explain a chemistry concept to me. If that is not dedication and commitment then I do not know what is. It saddens me a great deal to see that the school is not what it used to be academically. All that the politicians are interested in is if you can pass a useless standardized test, not if you actually learned anything to prepare you to go on to college or life in general. SO, SO SAD. CHSE was one of the best high schools in the state when I attended.
