I have very good memories of this school but i think they need to be more Strict about punishment. The teachers are very kind and i have a very good relationship with them. Special Education are very good the teachers are very patient with you and they give you some very helpful Strategies for your learning!

I really don't recall homework other than the basic reading log and the "write a page a day."

A lot of the children there (not all, there's a few good apples) act like they run the place, harassing students and acting a little too old for their 7th grade age. Those who did were respectful were the ones who actually had parents who taught them well.

So it's not really the schools fault for having kids who act like assholes but they are responsible for fixing them right. They spend the majority of the day there.

As said before, it's not good, at all. Though funnily enough they did push for a leadership role.

From what I remember you do have to pass a small test when entering the Kindergarten though that's probably just a placement test. When I was there I had an IEP and they did assist by putting me in a different room during tests but I really don't recall anything else besides that.

I don't know if there were any special needs students in the building but it really didn't seem like it. So I have no idea if you want to place your child with said needs in this school, I could be wrong though.

They placed blame on victims and let the hoodlums scot free from what I recall. It's disgusting.

The only thing good about the school were the memories I had of it, the sun-nut butter sandwiches and walking to the baseball field near the prison to do gym. The afterschool hours I spent there watching the sun fade away and my mom walking through the cafeteria entrance to pick me up. But I also had a lot of bad memories there, ones I'd like to forget ever happened. The school takes pride in it's "diverse population" but I felt like an outsider in the school. I didn't feel comfortable coming out the closet because I wasn't popular enough to do so.

Bring your kid to whoever you want, but I wouldn't take my kid here. Though the stuff there made me smart enough for honors classes. The experience there changed me a lot. It's been a few years since I last even looked at the school but given the fact that I know parents who bring their kids there and have this still going on. I don't think its changed one bit.

Great school! Students get all the support from their teachers, great staff members, homework is given so they can practice material at home. Teachers also keep in contact with parents, there are parent caf s. The students are provided with school materials. Parents should be more grateful about the things their students are getting out of this school.

My son recently transferred to this school and he loves it, not only has great staff, but he gets more homework which will help him learn and practice the material in class. We are very excited about this new chapter in our lives, hopefully my daughter will join him in a near future. GOOOO Learning Community!!!!!
