My granddaughter gets beat up gets picked on, on the drive home with 77 kids on 1 bus she's been smacked she's been hit over and over by a teenager with a big rubber band snapping her neck over and over as she ask him to stop nicely and he didn't. I have pictures and her name on the bus is white girl. Nothing has been done about it as we have talked to everyone. Also it's not safe for any driver to have that many children on the bus.

My child is a second grader at Shaw Heights. There are several fantastic teachers who go above and beyond for their students. And then there are the bad ones. There has been several issues this year involving a couple of teachers who are verbally abusive to students (telling them to shut up, threatening them, etc), abusive towards parents (yelling at a parent in the hall in front of students), unprofessional (talking on her cell phone during class, looking at Facebook, etc. on her phone), and one that likes to put her hands on students. The principle and vice principle have failed repeatedly to take action; the superintendent has had to step in on more than one occasion and move the children involved to different classes. There is a serious lack of professionalism within the administration as well as with several of the teachers. What all of us parents are wondering is, how are they still employed after repeatedly mistreating students? Where is the accountability?
