My time at Ebenezer has truly flown by.
I’ve made so many wonderful memories here, and it’s hard to believe it’s already time to say goodbye. The years I spent at this school were filled with laughter, learning, and growth. I’m especially grateful to the many kind and supportive teachers who made a lasting impact on me.
Thank you, Ebenezer, for being such a special part of my life. I’ll miss you dearly!

me and my twin attended and were beat up daily because we were white. I never knew racism existed until we went to this hell hole.

This was the worst school I ever attended. The 7th grade science class spent weeks covering material I had learned in 2nd and 3rd grade. We did activities my 2nd grade public school teacher had done. Science consisted of nothing but book work and worksheets. No real science labs to speak of. History was laughable. It was a highly revised history of South Carolina, as if this state was founded on anything more than Racisim and Slavery. History never covered any world history or current events. There were constant fist fights, cops called, and fires set in the bathrooms. The math teacher used to yell at us that so many kids were failing her class that her job was on the line. My math teachers own daughter didn’t even attend the school, she sent her own kid to a private school, that is embarrassingly bad when won’t even enroll your own kid at the school where you teach. English class was listening to 4th and 5th grade level audio books. Teachers told kids to “shut up,” This school is the Guantanamo Bay of public schools. If you want your kid to receive elementary school curriculum by teachers with low level degrees from shoddy colleges then this is the school for you.

I attended this school. I experienced relentless bullying, favoritism, and just overall being made fun of by teachers, administration, and bus drivers. What kind of teacher would waste an entire class period berating a student who voices an opinion about something true that was going on? A normal teacher could careless about what a student says about their wall decorations and more about whether or not the children are grasping the concepts. If you are "family" or are cousins to any of the teachers or staff, OR if they go to your church, you can pretty much get away with anything. As a parent, if you love your children and want them to learn content to prepare them for the real world and not just how to avoid bullies and public humiliation by teachers who should, but DO NOT care please think twice if not three times before sending them to this poor excuse for a school.

The principal and teachers at this school do NOT care about the students. I have had several conversation with the principal to no avail. She only likes to hear herself talk (attend any ceromy where she gets to take the mic). She wouldn't even attempt to help a hurt student. I've watched her walk right past an injured student during a sporting event a couple weeks ago! The teachers give out arbitrary grades to students because they have not required them to do work for a grade. Teachers have their picks of students who get preferential treatment while others are demeaned in public and during sporting events all because the teachers have a personal grudge or reason for not liking them. If a parent addresses any issue with a teacher the student will be repremanded in class for telling their parents. Coaches/assistant coaches are allowed to bully the students as well. Teachers at other schools refuse to send their children to Ebenezer due to these reasons even though they are zoned to do so.

I also had a happy and eager to learn child before enrolling my child in Ebenezer. I am clueless why these kids are so mean and angry. Prayer and only prayer has kept my child afloat at this school. My child comes home crying at least 3 times a week. Speaking to the staff there, is like talking to a wall.

We are a military family and my children have attended many school from many places. My son has attended this school last year (6th grade) and again this year (7th grade). Prior to Ebenezer he was always on the A/B Honor Roll. He has had nothing but trouble at this school. Bullying: books pushed out of his arms, other students calling him all types of terrible names, tripping him in the hallways. The teachers are not any better, not to mention the Principal/Vice Principal. My son's grades and love for school have gone down considerably because of the daily stress he experiencing while trying to learn. This is HANDS DOWN THE WORST school I have ever had interactions with. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND IF AT ALL POSSIBLE, SEND YOUR CHILDREN ELSEWHERE.

I am the parent of a past student that attended Ebenezer for 6th and 7th grades recently. She was bullied at school and on the bus daily to the point she'd come home in tears. She was an a honor roll student until 7th grade when her grades began to fail because of all the stress she was under. I didn't know about the bullying at first but when I found out I went to her Guidance Counselor. Nothing was done about the bullies. I repeatedly went back to the Authorities at the school but nothing was ever done. I finally ended up putting my daughter in home school because she was to the point of Depression and in counseling over this issue. I would not recommend this school to any parent.

I am currently attending ems (7th grade) and it is a very good school. They have the perfect balance of fun, discipline, and education. I also enjoy the services they give to the students to make up work and for after school tutoring. In the past years there has bin a problem with discipline, but those problems have since bin resolved. If you have a student in the Sumter county area I would recommend ems.
