As a parent, choosing Camden Military Academy for my son was one of the best decisions our family has made. We were looking for a school that would provide structure, accountability, and strong academic support, and Camden exceeded our expectations.

The faculty and staff truly care about the cadets and are invested in their success both in and out of the classroom. Since attending, I've seen tremendous growth in my son's confidence, maturity, discipline, and leadership skills. He's become more responsible, focused, and motivated than ever before.

Communication with the school has been excellent, and it's clear that everyone is committed to helping each student reach their full potential. While the military environment is challenging, it's also incredibly rewarding for students who are willing to put in the effort.

My son joined when he was in 8th. This will be his 5th year. He has always loved going back after every summer break. This is the best thing that has happened to him from a discipline point of view. From an academics point of view, he had choices that helped him advance at a pace suited to him. The administration & teachers are always responsive. The TAC officers are highly responsive too. The experience as a parent has been nothing short of great! Yes, your child does not stay with you and will be in a boarding setting, but this experience shows them how to become the men of tomorrow's world though discipline, leadership and setting examples. I think all children can benefit from a highly structured military style environment that Camden has to offer.

Our son completed his 7th grade year at CMA and we are so thankful for the growth he has experienced. The structure, accountability and team work that the school promotes has been life changing for our son. He is proud of who he is and his accomplishments and potential. Its a complete 180 from where he was when he started. In our experience Camden provides the systems, disciplines and support that young men need to navigate this season of life. Cant wait to see what his 8th grade year will hold!

CMA has been great for our 15 year-old son. He is like a new person. The schedule, expectations, facilities, programs and staff have all been wonderful. Thanks to CMA, our son now wants to pursue a military career after he graduates.

Spiritual discernment played a major role in my decision to enroll my son at Camden Military Academy. As a single mom, I was searching for the right environment to prepare him for high school, one that offered structure, accountability, and strong values.

After much prayer, God led us to CMA. From the moment we stepped on campus, I felt peace knowing it was the right place for him. My son has truly thrived both academically and personally. He is now an Honors Gold Star recipient, a published author, and he has embraced opportunities beyond the classroom that have strengthened his confidence, discipline, and sense of purpose.

What stands out most is the mentorship and genuine care from the CMA staff. They are fully invested in developing young men of character, and it shows in the growth Ive seen in my son.

Our son has just completed his second year at Camden Military Academy, and the growth weve seen in him during that time has been truly remarkable.

One of the greatest strengths of the school is its structured and disciplined environment. The clear expectations, consistent routines, and strong accountability help boys develop habits that many struggle to build on their own. We also greatly appreciate the Christ centered teachings and guest speakers that seek to build and strengthen the boys relationship with Christ.

The academic program is rigorous and encourages students to take their studies seriously. Before coming to Camden, our son struggled academically and typically earned Cs and Ds. Over the past two years, with the structure and support of the academy, he has improved to earn As and Bs. He is on Dean's List consistently and has risen in student rank for which he is very proud. Camden Military Academy is especially beneficial for boys who need help developing self-discipline. For students with ADHD, clear structure, accountability, and daily routines can make a tremendous difference. The schools thoughtful rules around technology, which limit distractions and allow students to stay focused on their responsibilities and academics. We have seen firsthand how this environment helps boys learn to manage themselves and take ownership of their actions.

Beyond academics, we are encouraged by the personal growth weve seen in our son. He is becoming more mature, more disciplined, and more committed to being honest and responsible for his choices. Much of this growth has come from his own efforts, but the schools culture and expectations have clearly helped guide him in that direction.

We are grateful for the positive impact Camden Military Academy has had on our son and would highly recommend it to families looking for a structured environment that encourages both academic success and character development. We plan to send another son there in the future, since it has been so beneficial for our son!!

When my sons previous school announced plans for closing, we were overwhelmed. One virtual meeting with Camden Military Academy changed everything. From the very first conversation, Casey, Mack and the Senior Cadet answered our questions with openness and honesty, by the end of the meeting, my son was asking how soon he could come. When our timeline suddenly moved up, Camden stepped in without hesitation and took him in the following Monday.
After years of struggling in public school with dyslexia, expressive and written language disorder, ADHD and ODD, my son made the honor roll for the first time last semester. Hes gaining confidence, learning how to face challenges positively and is thriving both academically and athletically returning to wrestling, lacrosse and already planning for football in the fall.
What truly sets Camden apart from the rest is their strong foundation in faith. Through prayer, worship, Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), faith is part of daily life at Camden. My son recently shared that he has accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. As a mom, there is no greater gift.
I only wish we lived closer so we could have a bigger presence and involvement.

All you need to do is look up the name Heflin Camden Military Academy. This school should not be open (I personally attended under his tenure as dean of students and this was known when I was there and nothing was done).

It was a difficult decision as a parent to allow my son to attend Camden at age 12, but now with hindsight, it was the best decision we made for his future. My son has loved his time at CMA and grown exponentially as a young man. People at home are pleasantly shocked by his transformation from a socially delayed, impulsive, awkward kid to a respectful, physically strong, intelligent, motivated young man mature beyond his years. He has learned how to soar academically (he skipped a grade and is taking dual enrollment classes) and has enjoyed new opportunities in activities and sports he could not do at home. If he participated in all of his activities at home that he does at CMA, it would be a logistics nightmare. The advantage to CMA is everything is on campus or close by and fits into their daily routine.
My son chooses to stay physically fit at the gym and track. In addition to taking flight lessons next door, he participates in multiple sports, Civil Air Patrol, JROTC, Scouts, Blackjacks, Rifle Team, National Honor Society, and holds currently a high leadership position.
As a mom living far away, I appreciate the open campus and the zoom community of the CMA Moms in Prayer group. These moms have become a greater support network for my son, loving on him and encouraging him when they see him.

Academics & Support
Amazing. The faculty dont just teachthey mentor and shape each Cadet. Classes are rigorous with a strong support system in the classroom and within Cadets as a group at nightly study halls. Ive seen my son grow academically with confidence, organization and independence.
Barrack Life & Structure
Every Cadet is assigned a Barrack with a dedicated TAC Officer on day 1. Expectations are very clear and Cadets are given many opportunities to excel in rank and responsibility. TAC Officers are always there to help. A team approach inherently develops within your son functions with daily life within the Barrack community. Camden has multiple weekend activities, family-style events like Super Bowl parties and BBQs, extensive care and support is put into making each Cadet feel supported, safe and valued.
Personal Growth & Independence
My sons growth has been unbelievable- he is a completely different person from being at Camden. He is more self-reliant, mature, responsible, obedient and engaged in our family and community. He hated me for moving him away from home during his first semester there, but by the summer of his Sophomore year, HE was able to see the positive impact Camden had made in him. Moving your son away is hard, but you have to trust the process at Camden.
Community
They say it takes a villageand this school has been mine as a single mom. The entire staff is communicative, thoughtful, and truly knows Cadet. From Mrs. Jackie the cafeteria lady who always gives my son a second serving if hes extra hungry to Mr. Tony who keeps the school grounds clean to Miss Anderson whos always with faculty whereabouts- these are the relationships your son will develop and respect at Camden. Its a second family away from home, and it includes the sports coaches, Boy Scouts, academic clubs, scuba groups, travel opportunities to Universal Studios, skiing, NBA and NFL games, along with an onsite Chaplain and Nurse to fully support each Cadet.
Last Thoughts
During his last furlough home, my son told a friend of mine that going to Camden was the best thing my mom did for me. Both you and your son will change for the better.

Deciding to send our son to Camden Military Academy has been one of the best decisions we have made for our son. He has flourished in the CMA environment due to its structure, opportunities in leadership and sports. The small 12:1 student/teacher ratio has also played a huge role in his academic success.

Our son has become more disciplined and has embraced the structure that CMA provides advancing in rank several times. The academy's focus on routine and accountability has been exactly what he needed to stay on track. Beyond academics, the sports programs at CMA have also given him new avenues to challenge himself and build leadership skills. He's had opportunities to engage in activities and responsibilities that go far beyond what a traditional high school would offer, which has made all the difference.

We discussed the idea of coming home for his senior year but wisely he decided himself saying he wants to return to CMA because there are simply "too many opportunities" and he wants to finish strong.

We are so encouraged by all the leaders at CMA from Staff Sergeant Eilbeck, 1st Sergeant Irvin, Major Yeatts, Chaplain Hunter, Coach Dority, and Captain Borowski just to name a few who have come alongside our our son.

Our son attended Camden Military Academy for his sophomore year and he will be going back until he graduates, by his choice! We have seen such a positive difference in his drive, communication and attitude. Before Camden he completely disregarded rules at home, and at school and didn't follow through with his sports coaches' requests for simple tasks.
At Camden he sees the value of doing what is expected of you. He has increased rank and wants to continue to do so. He communicates with his parents better and has an improved relationship with his sister. We strongly feel that without Camden Military Academy he would not have succeeded in life. Hopefully he will continue to see the value in making good choices as he grows up and continues into adulthood.

Our son attended Camden Military Academy for the spring '24 semester and I can't thank CMA and all the staff for all the positive change we have seen in our son through his journey this semester, leading to the driven and respectful young man who came home this summer.
You see potential in your son but they're not motivated to do anything? They have no goals? They don't see how their attitude and actions now will shape their future? We faced those hard truths and started looking into every option possible.
Our main concern was his academic performance and the influence the friends he was associating with had over him. School administration meeting after meeting, daily/weekly emails from teachers about behavior and avoiding class and work. Constant talks and badgering to behave and do the work all to find ourselves sitting at the table together at the end of the grading period until he finishes redoing the work he "just didn't turn in". Before enrolling him we attended an open house on campus. That's when all our doubts quieted down enough for us to see it would benefit him. During the open house we were greeted by students where we were welcome to ask them about their experience, then taken on a school tour by the dean of students, after the tour we were provided a detailed presentation that answered a majority of our questions, afterwards we were able to have a private meeting with an admissions representative who answered any and all of our remaining questions we might not have felt comfortable asking in the group presentation portion.
By the time we left, there were no questions left unanswered and we knew we needed to make it happen. Our son proved to us that we were right. Everything improved during his journey there, his GPA, behavior, leadership, goals, and general life outlook.

There is not a bad word I can say about this school. My son was struggling with school before he attended this school and I had feared he wouldn't graduate. Since attending he has excelled like never before. He brags to me about his grades now. He loves his teachers and the help they provide him with also. They also offer extra study halls and tutoring and that has really helped my son as well. When he has downtime from focusing on school he loves to play sports. There are so many options of sports that can be played all the time there. He has made some hopefully life long connections with the students and faculty. I am very thankful for the amazing school that it is and I would highly recommend this school to anyone and everyone.

I knew my son needed a change from the traditional public school setting and we had been looking at options for awhile. His grades were dwindling despite our motivation, encouragement and extra tutoring lessons. He had no drive or ambition. After visiting Camden Military Academy we all left there feeling so at ease and knew this was the place for him. He has gained so much self confidence, is excelling in Honors classes, advocating for himself, moving up in rank and exploring opportunities for his future. We could not be more proud of all he has accomplished thus far! Knowing he is in excellent hands with his TAC officers and all the amazing staff who pour into him who truly want him to thrive and succeed puts my mama heart at ease! We are so thankful for CMA!! One of the most difficult decisions I have ever had to make was the BEST decision for HIM and his future.

Believe me, I never expected I would be dropping off my son in a dorm room at age 12 against most people's advice! But despite all the naysayers, I listened to my son and my gut and enrolled him at CMA. My son knew it would be challenging, but he wanted to go. By the end of the first year, my son had thrived, skipped a grade, matured and gained confidence, and all the naysayers commended me for my decision.
We chose Camden over other schools for several reasons. Most importantly, CMA was an opportunity for my son to witness positive male role models (something he didn't have at home) and grow socially with his peers. Living and working with other boys, he had to learn how to function with peers his age, how to maintain the respect of others, and how to earn and keep leadership positions. Along with the TAC officers, teachers and other staff, the boys at Camden are expected to stay within proper boundaries and are rewarded appropriately. Many boys including my son want to return in subsequent years because they have been encouraged by the leadership positions they have earned.
My son loves having his own independence, the ability to be in leadership roles, and the ability to be involved in any activities or sports he chooses. Not only does Camden offer a structured environment to grow as a man, it offers an array of extracurricular activities and a local airport next door. Currently he is involved in Civil Air Patrol, JROTC, Scouts, Flight Lessons next door, Blackjacks, and will be in Band and the Football team next year.
Camden is what you and your son choose to make it. As parents, we choose to enroll them. After that, our cadets get to choose one of two things: 1) to take advantage of all CMA has to offer and thrive, or 2) to choose to resist the process and avoid growth. My son chose the former. He has gained so much independence at CMA and is one of the many boys at Camden who choose to return. The original plan was for him to only attend 2 years, but he loves it so much, he is resisting currently any plan for him to attend a school at home. Even though I am slightly upset at CMA for making it a place my son doesn't want to leave, I am so thankful for Camden. My son went to Camden immature and unsure of who he was. He came out of Camden confident in his identity and with clear goals and a vision for his future.

Our time with Camden Military School has been a real game-changer. Not only do they provide top-notch support and guidance, but they've also created a structured environment that's setting my son up for success. The best part? The staff is super responsiveI can shoot them a text anytime, and they handle everything like pros. Knowing my son's in good hands gives me such a sense of relief. And let me tell you about the nursesabsolute rock stars. They're on top of everything, from medication to scheduling doctor Zoom calls. Camden has become more than just a schoolit's a safe haven for my son and a huge weight off my shoulders. Trust me, I couldn't recommend it enough.

Grateful for my son to have an opportunity to be successful with the small class sizes and structure. This is not a boot camp or wilderness therapy camp. This is a military school that teaches responsibility, accountability, team work, organization. You learn that there is a time to work and a time for fun. It's not all work and no play. The boys have time to be with friends, swim in the pool, play sports, join a club, call home etc. But when its time for school and it's time to study and it's time to clean you better believe they are doing that too.
Our son just completed 10th grade at CMA. He is proud in his uniform, he loves the small class sizes, his grades have improved substantially. He is thriving because of the discipline that he is learning. It is true, consistency with structure for kids with ADHD is a huge key to success. Finally the good weighs out the bad. We can breathe, we are hopeful. I am so happy to say that he is returning next year. He knows that the structure of Camden Military School was the best thing for him. He feels proud and hopeful.

I am so very grateful to have found CMA for my son. As a single mom, this was a very difficult decision to make for my only child. Living on the West Coast did not make it any easier. Two years ago, he was at a very difficult stage in life and I was at a point where I no longer knew what to do. What I did know is that he needed positive male role models and structure. Needless to say, making this decision did not make me popular with him as a soon-to-be 9th grader. Yet, as you know, sometimes the right choices are the hardest to make. My son has now been at CMA for two years. He has grown tremendously. Not only has his attitude improved but he is better at managing his time and his grades are the best they have ever been! Over the past winter break, he told me he knows he needs structure and that there is no other school he would rather attend. Now, with a clearer direction of where he wants to go in life and what he wants to do, he has grown with confidence. It has not been the easiest two years. He has had to work hard for all of his accomplishments. I could not be prouder of him and I have the faculty and staff at CMA to thank. Thank you.

We love the leadership skills and confidence Logan has gained by being a cadet at CMA these last two years. Hes taking honors classes, has 4.3 GPA, finished 2nd in his class this year as a freshman, on yearbook staff, ROTC, promotions and enjoys the brotherhood amongst many other things CMA offers. Coming from a mom who was hesitant of the military environment, consider you son and their needs. If their current learning environment is not working well for them, consider CMA. It has changed our sons life and our family forever. One year ago my son had all failing grades, and was facing possible expulsion. Now he is making all As and Bs, and we are thrilled to have our team of support to extend from just mom and dad, to mom, dad, and an entire team of dedicated staff teaching our son how to achieve the future he wants for himself. Touring CMA opened my eyes to the opportunity that this school was for our son, and I am so happy we did.

Our Son (10th grade) has been enrolled now for most of his first semester. The decision to move our son from a conventional school and enroll him in a military boarding school was obviously a very large one that was not taken lightly. There were several hopes, and some fears involved when we initially enrolled him. His grades were spiraling downward, and despite all of our best efforts to encourage, motivate, and assist him with organization, homework, and studying, the grades were not improving. He also made some poor choices with respect to friends which resulted in minor trouble more than once. We decided to visit the school for an Open House tour, and the difficult decision was made before we left the campus that day. It has met all of our expectations, and I dont think our family could have hoped for better results with our son just having been enrolled for a few months. His grades have significantly improved, he is more respectful, he is much more organized and clean. These were all results that we had hoped for, and they have certainly come to fruition. His self confidence is the one great positive that took us by surprise.

Case in point - while home for spring break recently, we had a discussion with him about a few things that needed to get done around the house. He paused us and said, Hold on let me go get a pad of paper so I can write this down so I dont forget. We almost fell out of our chairs. Our son always complained about how difficult school was. It was said to us by other parents that school becomes a lot easier to the cadets because of the accountability for doing their school work and the mandatory study halls. Our son mentioned this to us, and we believe any cadet you may ask will agree.

The variety and inclusion of the sports programs are just the cherry on top for us. As parents of a recently enrolled cadet, so far, so Good is about as well as we can sum our experience up to this point. With the improvements weve seen in our son already, we cant wait to see what else he can achieve at CMA and were really excited to see what the future has in store for himsomething we had not said until now. Could we ask for much more than that?

A private boarding school was never something I imagined Id be interested in exploring, let alone becoming a fan of, for any of my children. This is exactly what happened quickly after we decided to send our son to Camden Military Academy for his eight grade year. There are a variety of reasons we began searching boarding schools for our son, but mainly we felt he would benefit greatly from the additional structure CMA provides. The smaller class sizes, the structured study halls, the accountability model for behavior and grades, and the endless potential to participate in extracurricular activities were all appealing to our family, including our son. When we toured CMA we posed the question to him about which school hed rather go to, his current public school or Camden Military Academy. He chose CMA for a lot of the same reasons we liked Camden.
He's wrapping up his first year at Camden and is even more excited about the school now than when we first toured it. He consistently has all As and few Bs and I love that he has actively participated in basketball, cross country, track, and even has learned to play lacrosse. He also joined the Boy Scouts. Hearing him talk about the goals he wants to achieve at CMA and beyond is fantastic, his world has started to open up to the idea of endless possibilities in the future, just the way any young man should view the future.
Camden Military Academy has started to develop and shape him in a very positive manner, Im excited for him to reach his potential over the next 4 years while he attends high school at CMA.

The school simply overlooks people for positions for leadership. They put kids who fool around there entire time here in power and promote a culture of not caring If you do care about anything you are a try hard thats what other cadets will label you as. School is overly easy the teachers are lazy and most dont assign homework.

Two years ago, I sent my son to Camden Military Academy (CMA ), it was a tough decision to make, so I send him to the Summer Program, and he fell in love with the school. After experiencing the structure and camaraderie within the school, he excelled. My son has improved academically and personally. Before he was a boy with no self-confidence, he was failing school. Today he is an A&B student. He has learned leadership skills and self-confidence.
Due to the attentiveness of the staff, my child is alive today. While he was playing football, he became short of breath; they took him to the hospital. He was diagnosed with a heart condition which he had to have surgery. Again, the school was very attentive and supportive. I am grateful to the Nurses, Sgt Collins, the teachers, and the rest of the staff who make CMA such a wonderful place for my son to go and Thrive.

My son started His attendance at Camden military academy last school year. The decision of him going was something that we have discussed in the past. My son is an amazing kid... no discipline issues or anything like that, He was just lazy. Not focused or driven at all. I would have to constantly repeat myself over and over again for him to do one task.

After one year of attending this school .. he has gained so much self confidence, integrity and a passion for life. He honestly came back a different kid. He is so focused and even though its summer break, he still gets up every morning and does his PT and actually makes his bed lol.
His grades went from failing and not turning in homework to being on the honor roll the entire school year !!

With In The first month, my best friend enrolled her son who was having issues . She seen how much of a difference it made just on his first academic furlough home. He also came back an honor roll student. Im so proud of our sons and can not wait to see what progress continues to shine through this next school.

I highly recommend this academy and I hope more young men get to experience what my son has been able to.
Amazing staff who keep in contact with you constantly which makes it so much easier when leaving them on the first day. Tears rolled down my face , but I knew I did the right thing for my sons future.

Our son will be attending his 4th year and graduating in 2022. We are so proud of how much improvement he has shown at CMA. We can not express enough gratitude towards the TAC officers going above and beyond to keep our son on track. Our son's close cousin the same age whom did not attend CMA succumbed to negative influences at home. Unfortunately, the cousins funeral was during the summer. We truly believe that CMA has saved our sons life and we look forward to his achievements beyond CMA. This school and its philosophy are not easy - which is good! The rigor of daily life there creates a strong man. My son has a bright future and I credit Camden and the everyone there for doing what I could not do as a parent.

Camden Military Academy was the best decision my son made starting 10th grade. He will now be a Senior and it has been an absolute pleasure watching him blossom in academics, leadership skills and of course the bond with friends to last a lifetime. Even during COVID Camden Military handled everything 150% better than any other school for we did not miss a beat.they certainly know how to adapt and overcome. Every employee in this school cares for my son like family. Even his Eagle Scout ceremony which was clearly delayed, his Tac officer who retired whom he chose as his mentor came back with his family for the ceremony (this speaks volume.) Watching the end of school year pick up and all the hugs was so great. I know my son is very happy and when you are happy you succeed. I highly recommend Camden Military Academy to any young man who wants to succeed and have an amazing resume. The skills taught here are lifelong skills every young man will benefit from. The structure and requirements of utilizing time accordingly will keep all academic grades in order. My son started Camden Military Academy in August, 2020 in the midst of the pandemic. We were looking for a school that had small class size, routine, sports, rules and discipline. I grew up in SC and knew about CMA and after attending the virtual open houses, talking to other parents of cadets and visiting the campus we realized this was the best place for him. Unlike his other friends at home, he was in the classroom every day instead of trying to learn virtually, and his grades have never been better. He is taking ownership, has become more confident and shows pride in his work. There seems to be a comradely between the guys whether it be in the barrack, parade day, sports or playing paint ball. We are so glad we made the decision to send our son to Camden. Initially he was reserved about attending, which I think is a normal response for a teenage boy. Being sent away to live in a military environment and be cared for by retired military service staff members can be very intimidating. He has not only embraced the school, he has thrived. After 2 ½ weeks home at Christmas, he admitted he was ready to go back. He loves the structure and realizes the importance of it. Not only does Camden teach accountability and leadership it helps to build self-confidence and mold these boys into polite and respectful young men. The academics have been top notch. The small classroom ratio of teachers to students has given him the attention he needed. Our son will begin his 2nd year at Camden this fall, and we are excited to witness the continued growth that he has had.

Our son William is a great kid with a bright future, but before Camden Military Academy (CMA) he was not living up to his potential in several areas of his life. He started at CMA halfway through his Freshman year during the 2017 -2018 school term. CMA has had a significant impact on him for the last 2 ½ years since he has been in the Corps of Cadets. This year he has earned straight A's and has been on the Deans List during his Junior year. He has completed 4 college level classes this year at CMA through the University of South Carolina. Before CMA, we questioned if college was going to be in his future and now after his almost 3 years at CMA the conversation has turned to which college he would like to attend. Camden's smaller class sizes (10-15 cadets) allow teachers to have a personal relationship with the cadets and to make sure that they stay on track. In addition, the mandatory study hall each evening has cultivated structure and discipline leading to his academic success.

William's Junior year has really been one of self-reflection not only in the classroom but other areas as well. He has climbed the leadership ladder and has currently attained the rank of Master Sergeant while in Bravo Company. In addition to his solid grades, he has been able to play on the Varsity lacrosse team as well as continue in his pursuit of the Eagle Scout rank through the Boy Scout program that CMA offers in Troop 38. His behavior and his choices, as a direct result of his time at CMA, are allowing him to see his own future as promising and bright!

Overall, we have been most pleased with the care and education our son has received while at CMA from his TAC officers, school administrators, teachers and other positive cadets pouring into him. We will always be forever grateful for the opportunity he has been given at Camden Military Academy.

My son returns to CMA this coming year, for his fifth year at the school, and will graduate in May, 2020. We have had a wonderful experience for his entire time at the school, and I am certain that he is set up for success in ways that would never have happened if not for his time at this school. In addition to his having learned so much about structure, responsibility, leadership and discipline, he has developed lifelong friendships and connections and relationships with faculty, staff and alumnae that will continue to benefit him throughout his life. I am especially appreciative of the support weve had in the past year and over the summer with getting him prepared to submit college applications, including SAT prep and test scheduling, facilitating school tours and guiding me as to what would be needed. Additionally, the school has afforded him some very cool opportunities that would not have been available in a school here at home - including wreath laying ceremonies at Veterans Day in Washington, DC, national competitions for Drill Team, competing at the national level for History Day competition, and being exposed to significant military leaders. During the coming year, he is looking forward to helping with Open Houses for potential CMA students so that he can share his experience. Overall, I am so very pleased with my decision for him to spend the past 4 years at CMA and my son shares that he knows it has been the best thing for him. I highly recommend the school as a place for young men to grow into their potential.

. Prior to sending my grandson to Camden he was failing all his classes and his school was not going to promote him from sixth to seventh grade unless I agreed to send him to another school district or a behavioral treatment center. Instead I researched Military schools and was lucky enough to find the Camden Military Academy. Since Daniel has been at Camden his life has gone from being a child who refused to do school work and not participating in life to a young man who values his education, his family and sees many possibilities for his future.

My grandson is finishing his junior year at Camden Military Academy. I am amazed at the changes everyone has seen in him this past year. His grades have gone from a straight F average at his old school to a solid C average at Camden. Hes very into the military aspect of Camden (the drills, the marching, the ranking system, etc.) His attitude is now one of respect instead of one of who cares? He is looking to the future with anticipation and an I Can accomplish great things attitude. In fact, he is considering college for the first time. As another year comes to a close, I am thankful for the opportunities Camden Military Academy has provided for my son.

First, CMA not only recognizes the student's academic ability, not limited by their ages or grades, but also provides advance courses on their campus.
My son finished all high school curriculum at the age 15 as a 10th grader except 2 senior courses. As a Junior, he was able to take college courses and get real college grades!
Professors from the University of South Carolina come to their campus.
This kind of flexibility for academically advanced students would have never been possible at a public school.

Secondly,I discovered as a parent that Junior year was very exciting.
The responsibilities and leadership that go along with the obtained rankings (just like the real military) started to pull out much of hidden potentials and gifts in my son. I saw my son settling more and more, truly finding who he is from deep inside...I mean...his true 'identity'.
At this point, he has been accepted to 'summer leadership camp' from Air Force Academy and waiting to hear from couple more Federal Military Academies. It will be a fun summer for him. ^^

Our son got his wake-up call when he needed to attend summer school for failing physical science. My threats of "you better get that attitude in check, pick up those grades, or there won't be any summer vacation for you," was now his reality. Luckily for us, we found Camden Military Academy. As he had done well in his other classes, we didn't his summer school attendance to be a punishment for him. CMA summer program was the ideal program, at the ideal location. At the end of 5 weeks, we got much more than we bargained for. He passed the class, which we knew he was capable of doing. Most impressively for us, our son transitioned back home being a respectful, polite, POLISHED young man. In the 4th week, his phone calls were more frequent. He kept asking "where am I going to school this year?" My response, "where else but back on St.Croix!" We were caught off-guard, our son wanted to continue his education at CMA. Not being financially prepared, he returned home for the current school year. Upon his return, we discussed it. Like many other parents, I vented, "why did I have to pay for you to pass a class in the summer, when you had the whole school year to do so?" I also asked, "why do you want to go to Camden, it it easy?" His response, "No, the teachers take their time with you and make it easy for you to understand." I was SOLD! His expressions said it all. He returned to CMA the following school year to begin his high school years. Since the summer of 2015, CMA continues to have a profound impact on our son in many aspects, as they transformed him from a young boy, to a young man, now entering his CMA 2018 Junior year.

Our son attended Camden for the first time in August 2017 as a 7th grader. He completed the entire school year and we are very very happy with the impact that Camden has had on him. First, he loves the school! That is really important to us. Second, he was a C & D student at his public school in 6th grade. At the end of 7th Grade after his first full year at Camden he had an A average which he had maintained for the entire school year. We are very proud of him.

Camden has had a profound impact on our son and not only is he there right now for the 3 week summer camp (which he is loving) but he is also going back in August for 8th Grade. Great job to everyone at Camden, the school really does turn boys into men!

The school year of 2018-2019 will be the third year that one of my sons has attended Camden Military Academy. It has been overwhelmingly been the best decision for our family. My oldest son has just graduated and is off to college. Both sons were reticent upon their admission to CMA. But after experiencing the structure and camaraderie within the school they both excelled and loved it. It is so nice to see my oldest son post comments on social media after his graduation declaring how much his missed the Staff and fellow Cadets, and thanking them for changing his life. That is just what Camden Military Academy does. It changes the lives of impressionable young men. Camden Military Academy is an environment of change. It changes young men into Cadets of distinction who strive to excel in all aspects. Loyalty, Discipline, Respect, Honor, Love of Country, and Excellence in everything you do, is the skill set that Camden Military Academy hones in young men. CMA is a great school! As a single mother of young men, the choice to send them to a private school was difficult but one that I found necessary. When seeking the right school for my son, I researched many options.
CMA was the right decision, one my oldest son helped me make.
We visited several schools on the east coast. We compared prices and academics. CMA has/had a high matriculation rate, compared with similar schools, and its reasonably priced. It was immediately after touring the campus and meeting with the Dean of Students, LTC Heflin, my oldest knew CMA was the right school.
He started 2014 and graduated 2016. Now he is a rising junior who attends The Citadel.
Thanks CMA for all you do and did for his success. He is a responsible and respectful man who has all the right stuff to be a future leader.

We decided to admit my 13 years old son on January 2018 for the half of the academic year and we started seeing immediate results. My son from being a total chaos to our lives became a pleasure to have him around.
On the summer, I asked myself. If these changes have been only on a half of academic year, I cant image what Camden will do on his life when he expends an entire year?
The changes have been amazing to watch, He is now grateful, his grades improved tremendous, he is more mature, and he is more willing to compliant with our household rules.
Not only we have seen all these changes but my family that at first were against my decision to admitting him on a military school. They are now congratulating him for his accomplishments and his incredible remarkable positive change.

In our third attempt to find a school that could help our son to grow academically and more importantly, in virtue, we sent our son to Camden. He had previously been in a school ranked in the top 20 of the State of California, and even they could not help him to overcome his constant defiance, poor academic achievement and lack of cooperation with the school authorities. His behavior at home was equally undesirable. He was disrespectful and it was a constant fight with him to get him to do the minimum.
From the first interview that he had with Mr. Robinson over the phone, our son instantly knew Camden was the best fit out of his options, and asked us to please send him there. My husband went to check out the school and agreed that it was a good fit for him. The reasonable tuition was another attraction. Our son started the school year at Camden this past fall and at the first break I went to the Parent Teacher Conference.
My son showed me the campus with great pride, and took me to meet each one of his teachers. Every one, Ltc. Rice, Mjr. Dority , Ltc. Hartley, Mjr. Reeder, Cpt. Thomley, and his TAC 1SG Collins, showed a real interest in his wellbeing. The improvements in his grades as well as their comments on his behavior were beyond my expectations. I was completely awed by his behavioral improvement as well.
The academic year has gone by and the whole family is enjoying our sons company during summer break. He cooperates at home, helps out with chores, is much more respectful and he is clearly much happier. He is proud of his academic achievements. He achieved straight As and as a sign of his overall character improvement he has been promoted to Corporal.
Although it is not easy or economical for us to have our son in the other side of the Continent, we are convinced that Camden is the best investment we could make for him. We thank God for the blessing of Camden Military Academy.

We enrolled our son in CMA in fall 2016, hoping that this environment would help him overcome the difficulties he had dealing with structure and discipline. At the end of just one year at CMA, we see positive changes all around and our overall expectations of what can be accomplished in such little time have been surpassed. Not only has his school work improved tremendously, but he has also developed into a young man who understands that self-discipline and dedication are key elements for success. Being a member of the CMA-community is giving him the sense of belonging that has helped him build the confidence that he needs to thrive. My son started at Camden Military Academy late in his sophomore year of High School after we had made our last military move to North Carolina. We made the decision for him to attend Camden Military Academy due to his goal of being a military officer and the opportunity and impact this could have on him achieving those goals. Before he started at CMA, he lacked confidence in himself and his ability to accomplish things like organization and becoming established with a good group of friends. In just a few short months I have seen a significant change to not only his attitude, but his focus, determination and generally the way he carries himself. He stands taller and takes pride in getting good grades and the possibility of becoming a leader amongst his peers. My son will graduate in 2019 and I have no doubt that the skills and attributes he has developed while attending CMA will stick with him for the rest of his life.

Our son Dorian has been at CMA since January of 2016. Since that time, we have seen how he has matured into a more respectful and responsible young man. He is enjoying friendships and comaraderie with cadets from all over the country and world. What a wonderful experience and opportunity for a boy coming from NJ!
Our original expectations from CMA was to offer a solution for our son who had some difficulty dealing with structure and discipline. Our expectations have not only been met, but far surpassed. Through the regimented day at school and comaraderie he has built with his fellow cadets, Dorian is on his way to becoming a young man with respect, self sufficiency and character.
Our son is so happy to be at CMA. He loves coming home for breaks and holidays, but always looks forward to returning to his "second home" at CMA.

My son really likes CMA and really feels like he has brothers for life there. I had a few greviences with the diet plan and workout regimine for the students. Upon observation there are several overweight students for this to be a military style academy. There were other small things that concern me but nothing so major that I would not allow my son to return for another year. This will be his third year. I would like to see more leadership training with the students as well a some sort of a healthy lifestyle implemented. Overall, I see a change in my son and his attitude toward responsibility and being a better person.

Last year our son was in public high school in the Charlotte suburbs. He was not putting any effort into school or homework, and said he would get his GED instead of completing high school. There were discipline problems at school and a lot of tension at home. Over the summer, we decided a change had to be made for the coming school year, and once again visited the CMA campus. We had considered it before but didnt follow through.
Now, a year later, our son is regularly making the honors list (As & Bs) for grades, which is what we felt he was capable of, and is much more disciplined and respectful. We think the structure and expectations of the cadet system have made the difference, as well as good influences from some of the student officers in his company.
Letting him go back to public school would never have produced these kind of results, we think Camden made the difference.

My son was always smart. He was a straight "A" student at the private school he attended in Charlotte. He enjoyed learning new things like math and science, musical instruments, building complicated Lego projects, etc.

Organized sports were a big part of his life including football, basketball, and wrestling. He also enjoyed riding dirt bikes, bmx bicycles, and skateboards. And he was good at every sport he tried.

Then when he was in middle school, he asked his Mom and me if he could attend the public school in our neighborhood, so he could be closer to his neighborhood friends. After a lot of consideration, we allowed him to make the move. Things were ok at first, but we soon noticed that he wasn't as engaged in school as he used to be. He started missing homework assignments and letting his grades go down. He also became more rebellious and defiant at home. That's when we decided to check out Camden Military Academy. We were nervous wondering if our son would accept this more disciplined lifestyle since he didn't like listening to our rules at home.

Now for the miracle! We couldn't believe how fast our son fit into the CMA way of life. He started in the middle of his sophomore year. And after only one semester, his grades were up considerably and he asked us if he could attend summer school! He was also more involved in extracurricular activities again including sports, leadership positions in clubs, and community service projects.

It used to bug me when I heard the phrase, "It takes a village to raise a child." However, the CMA "community" has accomplished a remarkable turnaround in my son! And that is a priceless gift that I will forever be thankful for!

For any parent considering sending their son to Camden Military Academy, I highly recommend it!...Our son while extremely bright in so many ways, suffered terribly since elementary school with ADHD, and we were losing him academically and socially in the mainstream public school system, and while trying everything under the sun from medications, tutors, never ending communications with teachers, lost assignments, battle royals in keeping him on task, it was just a frustrating nightmare which only got worse as he entered High school. So while we discovered Camden Military Academy as our son also seem to show an interest in some military related fields, we enrolled him in CMA for the second semester of Junior year to give it a try as a last ditch effort and WOWW what a difference. The structure was exactly what he needed in him thriving in that environment, the major improvements to his self esteem, self discipline, and as that created a motivation for him to succeed for himself and amongst his peers was just remarkable. I don't care if your son has an interest in the military, academic/learning impairments, social issues, or just a kid in search of himself while getting a good solid education with people who are committed to having your son meet those goals, CMA is the ticket, and in truly motivating these boys to dig inside themselves in discovering their true potential in being accountable to others but most importantly themselves...My son is now a 3.85 GPA student on consistent honor roll, a second lieutenant for his company as he has earned the respect of his peers, faculty, and most importantly now himself, and I would be more than happy to elaborate more on our experience to any parent considering, or presently has a son enrolled in CMA....and as for us as just an average family was worth every burger I had to flip in order to supplement our income in getting him there...

Camden Academy has been life-changing blessing for my son. He has stuggled in public and private school. The summer program has let him experience how well he can do in the right school. He has only been in the program 4 weeks and the change is already taking shape. His confidence has increased, his academic has went to A's, learning accountability, seeing leadership, and development of friends all have taken place in this short time. He made the choice that it is where he wants to be. Excited to see the boy to man transformation. Camden was a great place for a family member previous. My son started Camden during the 2014/2015 school year and has done a total turnaround with his studies as well as his self esteem. He attended Camden as an eighth grader and the difference from 7th grade public school to 8th grade at Camden is great. My son was diagnosed with ADHD and the public school system couldn't deal with him because of their class sizes and just didn't want to deal with a kid who required more attention than the normal kid. At Camden, not only are the class sizes smaller, the teachers and staff emphasize the students and their studies over everything. HIs studies went from almost failing 7th grade and failing 7th grade math to being on the honor roll and a higher self esteem. I am eager to see him strive more so than he already has at Camden in the years to come.

My son is completing his second year at Camden Military Academy, and I am very pleased with the progress he has made. His grades improved immediately, and he has maintained a high degree of academic achievement during his time there. His levels of self-disciple, self-motivation, and responsibility have soared as a result of the mentorship he has received and the accountability he is required to adhere to. When my son was struggling in CA public high school system with a 0.3 GPA, lack of motivation, no self confidence or discipline whatsoever. He was going to be placed in a continuation school, which only meant less discipline, guidance, and supervision on the part of the school. I knew would be detrimental to my sons future, so we discussed the option enrolling at CMA. We had our apprehension about him going away to school on the other side of the country. The first day was tough, many tears were shed, and the first two weeks of school without contact was tough (for me) but since then I now KNOW this BEST decision I have ever made for my son. He made honor roll for almost every grading period at CMA. He new found respect for others, and confidence in himself. Every person who interacts with him makes a point to tell me how they are amazed by the way he now handles & carries himself. He now has male role models to look up to (in his TAC officers) who have taught him, and shown him, what it means to be a man of character. Camden Military Academy (CMA) is a school rich in tradition. Its structured environment is just what we were looking for our son. Our son has never given us any discipline issues. He has always taken rigorous course work. However, our son had difficulties finding his niche in school. As he approached high school, he lost confidence in his abilities to succeed. He had difficulties sticking up for himself and standing out among his peers. Our son also lacked the discipline to consistently remain in high academic standing. As a family, we thought that CMA would help our son develop new abilities and strengthen his weaknesses. Since attending CMA, we have seen positive change in our son. Our son carries himself with confidence. He is now a proud young man that seeks out academic endeavors and leads by example. Our son spent his first year in the 2014/2015 school year and totally shocked us with how much he fell into the daily routines and how much that has helped him get better grades and focus on what's truly important for helping make him a man. He has learned to tie a tie, shine his shoes, show respect and listen to orders. I wish the school had more money to update their aging facilities, but they are building a new housing unit on campus and they excel at what's important - academics.

This is really a great school! My son had difficult time after my divorced since 2013, and his Grade went straight down to E and F... It really broke my heart when I saw my kid turned that way... This year will be my sons third at Camden Military Academy and I'm thrilled. He has excelled in his academics compared to public schools in our area where he would be drowning in the system. I am very pleased with the overall improvement that my son has made during the 2013-2014 school year at Camden Military Academy. He started in the 8th grade at CMA and now he is going to the 11th grade. This will be his 4th year at CMA. My younger brother, Jennings, enrolled in Camden Military in the Spring of his Sophomore year. He is now headed into his Senior year, and was recently promoted to the S1 Batallion Adjutant, with a bright future ahead. I have had the privilege of seeing Camden Military shape Jennings into a respectable young man. Jennings has grown in his faith, service and integrity while at Camden. His mentors and colleagues have been a wonderful support system from him, and have encouraged him to strive for excellence inside and outside of school. The structure and discipline that the military setting is able to provide has tremendously improved Jennings grades, confidence and time management skills. If you are looking for a school for your child or teen, Camden is a great place for them. My grandson has been able to learn the importance of education, team work, social skills and most importantly to care about his goals and life in general. Each cadet may have a variance of issues to deal with to achieve success. The staff is armed to handle a variety of situations with your cadet. You will see a difference each time they are on furlough and a gradual change will occur. As parent and grandparents, we ultimately want a better life for them. Camden is a very good choice if you want to see results. My grandson will be graduating next year. Without Camden, he may not have been so successful. The change in my son since enrolling at Camden Military Academy (CMA) in January of 2013 has been astonishing. Not only has he improved his grades and made the honor roll nearly every semester, he is much more responsible and his attitude is very positive. His self confidence has grown and I can honestly say it is because of the leadership opportunities he has been given at CMA. He will be company commander next year and he recognizes the hard work and determination required to achieve his goals. He is taking several college classes at CMA through the University of South Carolina and will graduate in May 2015 with a total of 24 college credits. Our son Jack was not performing up to his potential is sophomore year at our local public school. As a family, we decided that military school might give him the structure and discipline he needed. My son is in his first year at Camden and his junior year in high school. He went from honor roll student in middle school to not caring about anything in high school. He went from probably not graduating from high school to the deans list his FIRST semester at Camden. He has been promoted twice already and is now taking responsibility for his actions. He is also more involved in school activities and sports. Camden has been great for our son and for our family. The administration and support staff are responsive and supportive to our son and us. We LOVE his TAC officer who takes great care of our son and is totally responsive to our concerns and questions. We would recommend Camden to anyone. It has helped develop our son emotionally, physically and academically develop into a great young man. In fact, our son asked us midway through the semester if we could afford it could he please go back to Camden next year because he felt that is what he needed to make sure he didn't screw up his high school career. For a 16 year old boy to develop that much maturity in one semester I credit Camden. In his first 2 years of high school his dad and I couldn't help him.

I am a graduate of Camden Military Academy. There is no doubt that the decision to attend CMA as a junior in high school was one of the most important decisions of my life. I went from lost in the group with failing grades to A s and B s. The smaller classes allowed me to be heard, and the teachers helped me with my weaknesses. I am very impressed with Camden Military Academy and the people who run it. I live in Camden and work as a district director for the public school system. I have had the opportunity to visit CMA many times and provide professional development to the staff. As I step on the campus, it is evident that they build character in the young men as each one with whom I speak are most respectful and helpful and willing to assist me in getting to the right place. One even carried in my supplies without being asked! The staff are eager to make the school the best it can be. On a personal note, I have mentored cadets who come to my church and I appreciate the partnership in spirituality that is instilled in these youngsters. CMA recently built a chapel and it is good to see cadets in worship. I wish I had a son who could benefit from the love, support, and academic rigor at CMA.

Our son graduated from CMA in 2008 and is now an officer in the United States Air Force. He entered Camden at age 15 as a rebellious (but intelligent) young man. After graduating from Camden, he was prepared to succeed at a prestigious university. I would not boast about CMA's academic programs....they are similar to most high schools...however the leadership training made the difference for our son.

A month ago, I joined the CMA family and work in the Admissions Department. Here is what I have experienced in the short amount of time I have been here. The leadership, starting with the headmaster, Col. Boland, all the way down is committed to the development of the cadets academically, athletically, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. The teachers are competent and caring and the coaches are skilled and determined. The TAC officers are from military backgrounds with years of experience and are also great father figures which young men desperately need especially in these years of their lives. The cadets I have met and worked with in this short time are some of the finest young men I have ever met and I have worked with literally thousands of young people over my 16 years of working with students ages 13-19. I have been blown away by the respect, discipline, hard work, and character of these young men. Perfect no, they are teenagers, but many of them are some of the finest young men you would ever want to meet. If you are even remotely considering a military, boarding school for your son or grandson, I strongly encourage you to consider Camden Military Academy.

I am the Annual Fund Coordinator at CMA and I have been employed here for the past 8 years. I have been most impresssed with the faculty, staff, and administrators in their roles to provide each student with the lessons and experience and discipline needed to develop their confidence and leadership roles and learn better study habits. I've witnessed the metamorphasis of boys to men and heard the parents express their surprise and delight with those positive changes. Mothers have called us, in tears, because they have lost hope that their sons will ever graduate from high school and possibly end up in juvenile detention if something isn't done. Those boys have come here and followed our "whole man" development concept, and have graduated and gone on to college. We give students a chance to test their potential and see that their future can hold more possibilities than they can imagine. This is a great school!

Our son had a great experience at CMA. The staff and faculty are caring and concerned about the boys that attend the academy. The college classes our son took at Camden helped him tremendously in college by giving him a leg up in his coursework. I would advise anyone who is considering this school for their child to hear me. The things that you are told are far from the truth. The students are hazed so badly, with the knowledge and approval of many staff members, I am surprised there are not more suicides. My son went there at the age of 14, is now 32 and has sever anxiety from the unjust treatment. God is healing him but this should have NEVER happened. We trusted this school with his life. I teach school and understand the problems that come with disabilities such as disorganization, lack of focus and ability to retain information but treating young boys like they do only makes it worse. My heart brakes for these children who are there. If you are still considering this as an option please precede with caution. You don't get that time back or to replace bad memories with good ones. There is not a rating that I can give them that is just. I hope things have changed, especially with the authority given to the upper classmates. Outside the school, people are serving time for this type of behavior.
