This preschool has both some positives and negatives. Things I like about it: the children are not put in front of the TV at all. Whenever I have dropped off or picked up my child, I have observed some free play but also some structured learning activities. They also do quite a bit with literacy activities such as reading to the children and having them look at books. This school says it's "montessori," but my child has attended for almost 2 years and I don't really see much to that. They post some student work on the walls but not much comes home. What does come home, I have not been super-impressed with. There seems to be the usual problem with staff turnover and I don't even always know who all the staff are. Names and intros would be nice. The thing that I am least pleased with is communication. I feel like nothing is really communicated at all. There's no communication as to what is happening at the school, or anything at all about how my child is doing. This is an OK place to send your child, they will be safe and adequately supervised, and they do learn something. It's just not exceptional in my opinion.
