I have known this school for six years, and I dont recommend this school for anyone. They suspend and call parents for the smallest reasons, and it is ridiculous. Every time I walk in the school, the kids are yelling and out of control. My daughter keeps telling me that she hates the school and barely gets an education. There is multiple times when they did not have enough money to pay the substitutes. The moral of the story I do not recommend this school.

This school covers up everything the adults do. They call about your children constantly and suspend them for the smallest things. The adults get NO accountability, this is exactly why they were on the news! My children have been thriving since they left! THANK GOD! You cannot hold children accountable and not adults! Be an EXAMPLE!

This school use to be good. After principal turnover it has gone down hill. There is No communication at all between staff. When issues arise nothing is done about it. This school couldve been great but with the leadership or should I say lack of it is horrendous. Look else where.

I have had my child at this school since the doors opened six years ago . I have fought for it , defended it on social media , suggested it to tons of parents . I 100 percent regret that and with good conscience would ask that you not place your child in Green Charter unless someone takes whats going on inside the school and actually handles it . Not one teacher meeting , lowest Map Scores EVER no conference about that . Out of control bullying . Some of the teachers are so immature and with cameras with no sound no one has to be accountable . I am so sick at myself for keeping my child in a school that she spent more days being torn down instead of lifting up . If you want to send your child to school that cant keep teachers , does not respond with any urgency to serious complaints , no teacher meetings and you want to fight your child to go to school every morning and watch them cry when they didnt do that any of the years before send them here . I wish the school could get a honest investigation into what is really going on but when employees are scared to speak it makes parents even more uncomfortable

Keep looking, this ain't the one. I promise you. Believe the negative reviews. This school has lost half its enrollment for a reason. I honestly cannot believe this school is allowed to still operate in its current state.
Just don't.

There is absolutely no way that these positive reviews are current or authentic parental reviews. This school honestly shouldnt be operating at the level of dysfunction that it currently is, we all deserve so much better. My children have been through over 5 teacher turnovers in a single school year thats not even completed yet. The level of toxicity at this school is off the charts, so I can only imagine how hard it must be for the teachers. Just dont, I promise this is nothing but truth. Look elsewhere.

Posted: February 13, 2020
They dont assign mindless busy work. Its tailored to student strengths and weaknesses and not in an overwhelming amount.
Posted: February 13, 2020
My childrens teachers show intentionality and compassion to them. They have what I would call a holistic approach to their education.
Posted: February 13, 2020
Posted: February 13, 2020
This is evidenced by the fact that the administrators have strong relationships with the students. Its not just about producing robots who adhere to rules; they care about the kids theyve been entrusted with.

Posted: February 5, 2020
This school has a huge bullying problem and not only do they not deal with it, the administration are the biggest bullies of all.
Posted: February 5, 2020
The homework load is tremendous. Homework should be a review of what was taught in the classroom but they use it to introduce new concepts and expect the parents to teach at home.
Posted: February 5, 2020
The teachers do not coordinate with each other so many times several tests or projects are due on the same day.
Posted: February 5, 2020
They give lip service to it but their actions are far different. They create situations to pressure and embarrass students by inviting parents to honor awards and making it evident which children didn't get honor roll.
Posted: February 5, 2020
New principal this year and he is rule happy. He hides behind policies he creates and then takes no responsibility for them. He is punitive and a control freak. The staff morale is terrible because of the negative environment he has created.
Posted: February 5, 2020
My son had an IEP and currently has a 504. They do not follow it. He is supposed to be given notes - no notes all year.
Posted: February 5, 2020
Awful. We were so hopeful for this school but ultimately it is no different than the terrible public school we came from. They cannot attract good staff because the good ones leave. It's a very hostile environment.I guarantee you most of the positive reviews here are fake as I'm actually a parent who knows many disgruntled parents.

The students are learning to accept all differences in people, cultures and beliefs. The teachers strive to build small communities in the classroom as part of the larger community of the school....thus growing the students abilities to positively grow in the communities outside of the school.
