This school has taught me that despite seeming welcoming and supportive, thats not true. Teachers have bullied me and put me down throughout the two years Ive been here, making me feel like I dont fit in. Ive been humiliated for crying because of my emotional regulation issues and possible autism, berated for sleeping in class because of my Narcolepsy, and refused the chance to sit down when I have POTS. They announce it to the entire class, resulting it me being bullied which they refuse to resolve as well. The staff have favorites and make fun of students with conditions, disabilities, and anything else that makes them different. Ive been talked bad about behind my back by staff. Despite the school supposedly having a no bullying policy and RAISE values, they do not uphold their beliefs, setting a bad example for other students. The teachers do not need to have a degree to apply, resulting in teaching malpractice. Ive had to use ai to learn the material needed to pass the grade since the teachers dont know how to teach or are too lazy to give proper assignments and lessons. Ive had better experiences at public schools than this school. Also they wont address issues like bullying, the mold, and the countless fights happening. Also, the punishments are absurd because Ive gotten after school detention for taking a bite of an apple and putting it up after and texting my mom to check on her because she just survived a domestic abuse situation. Teachers here show no sympathy and empathy for others, more concerned with informing us of their personal lives than actually teaching or checking up on their students

DO NOT BRING YOUR KID HERE, as a kid that goes to this school, this place is disrespectful, disgusting, and unprofessional
There are many teachers that talk about there home life (they shouldnt do that) and even make comments about kids friend ships, as a student in this school it is HORRIBLE the teachers bring down any kid that has any mental or health issues and they favor the popular and pick me kids, there is one teacher that takes things away from kids and gives it to their favorites, this school is HORRENDOUS with 8th grade math in my class room teachers left over and over again but thats enough about the teachers lets talk about the kids to, the kids in this school are 50/50 some might even say they are disrespectful, when a teacher was out some kids even cut themselves in the school, my advice: do not bring your kid here unless you want them to fall school. If there are any parents reading this please dont support this school, it is truly disgusting how unfair the school system is, and if you have a kid with special needs DONT EVEN THINK ABOUT PUTTING THEM HERE you will regret it this is a warning fr one student to a parent.
Ps. Some kids even have to use AI to pass the grade with these high expectations.

nothing on mental health or any mental health screening for students, nor any assemblies for it.
the teachers only use their authority position as a crutch to stand above the students.
this school makes me dread going there due to harsh punishments such as a detention 1-hour after school for using a calculator in class.
I haven't learned anything going to this school.
Family engagement is non-existant besides attendance, grades, and disciplinary action.
They have a program for Special Ed Kids but it isnt anything noteworthy.

This school has incredibly unsafe dismissal policies. The children are not allowed to speak... at all. If they do, the teachers will kick them out of the shade to stand in the direct South Carolina August sun as punishment. At dismissal, it can reach 100* or more, and their line is so disorganized it can take ***over an hour*** So you have all the makings for an incredibly dangerous situation. They regularly dismiss safety issues, not only dismiss them, but refuse to even acknowledge them. Another issue facing the school is an ongoing issue with dangerous mold in the lower school... There is an article on it from Fox that you can look up. The school has refused to acknowledge this issue or provide the parents with a report stating that the school has been given the green light from a mold remediation company. Even though we have seen the mold company trucks there, so we know if they were given the green light, they would be able to provide it. Which can only mean the issue is ongoing, and they are trying to bury it to the detriment of everyone's health. Their "RAISE values" include accountability, but they show none themselves. Nor do they respect the children (Respect being another "RAISE value"). The academics are good, but the way they treat the children is just awful. Which is a shame because it is such a great group of kids.. which is the only reason why they can focus on and criminalize such minutia... if they had real problems, they wouldn't have the bandwidth for such nonsense. Basically, the only message the kids receive is sit down and shut up, or else. And you'd expect that message during class.. But after school? At lunch? This school criminalizes normal behavior and bombards the kids with negative messaging. I removed my son because it wasn't "strict" or "adhering to high standards"... it was toxic and unnecessary. I'd even say antithetical to normal development and self-esteem. I have a very timid, rule-following kid, and he even gets in "trouble" here (of course, when normal behavior like talking to your friends after school is criminalized) ... if you have any kind of wild child, feral kid or a kid with ADHD... I wouldn't even THINK of sending them to this school. It will RUIN their internal messaging.

The special education team intentionally guided me to withdraw my student from his IEP with the notion he would be qualified and enrolled in a 504 plan. After revocation of consent for the IEP, the special education team went silent. My student has been officially withdrawn from his IEP and does not have an education plan. They have been silent in this hiccup and I am left with the fallout.
