Every teacher has a different homework policy but in my experience they have never "overloaded" a student or had unreasonable expectations.

Pine Tree Hill is an amazing school! It has an excellent administrative team, as well as faculty and staff, who love, support, and nurture the students in their care. They are very friendly and go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome. The teachers maintain high expectations for students while creating a pleasant learning atmosphere. They challenge students to the next level in both academics and character development. I walk through the doors of PTH each morning with excitement and enthusiasm. I see strong leadership, teacher dedication, critical parent support, and student self-discipline, which allows our school to grow stronger. I always look forward to the learning that will take place each day. I love Pine Tree Hill, its bulldogs, and its bullpups!

I am honored to be a former parent and a teacher at PTH. The leadership and enthusiasm that fulfills the halls of the school are amazing and next to none other. My daughters success was built on the foundation of learning, community, leadership and the strive to work to your highest potential. The visible passion of teaching and success is apparent in every teacher and student.

PTH is the most technological, innovative, caring, and student-centered of any school I have ever taught in or visited. Your child is so lucky to be a part of this school where it is treated as a "family" and not a school. The principal ensures on a daily basis that teachers are teaching and students are learning. She is always initiating ways that struggling students can be assisted. The curriculum, although mandated by the state, is tailored to the child on their level when possible.

Blessed to be a part of the PTH family, as a teacher and former parent! My husband and children are PTH alums! With great leadership, caring teachers/staff, and in teamwork with the home and community, PTH develops academically successful, technologically-prepared, responsible life-long learners in a disciplined, nurturing environment. Parents, grandparents, and volunteers are involved in the classrooms and school activities. Parents are an active part of their child s learning by reinforcing skills at home, by using Parent Portal and Class DoJo to keep track of grades and behavior, and by using the teacher s Echalk page for assignments and resources. Technology includes Smart Boards in every class, as well as, iPads, minipads, Chrome books, laptops, a Smart Table, and a 21st Century classroom. Students set goals, are active in their learning, and are motivated to be life-long learners. The RTI team and Math and Reading Interventionists assist students who are struggling in the classroom with specific skills. PTH also has after-school care and an academic after-school program. As a team, we work together to help our Bullpups be successful in and out of the classroom!

Pine Tree Hill is a warm, welcoming, and thriving learning environment. The school has created a family type atmosphere where students can belong, grow, and lead. The staff and administration is dedicated to the success of my child. My child is currently in Kershaw County's first 21st Century Classroom. The classroom is equipped with the latest technology and fosters innovative and collaborative learning.

PTH is the most welcoming, loving school that my son's have attended. We are a military family and have moved several times so I speak from a lot of experience. The academics are rigorous and the staff is great to work with! Love our school!!!

I am not only a teacher at PTH, but also a parent. Our students are blessed to have highly qualified excellent teachers who are compassionate about our students' success in and outside of the classroom. PTH is determined to give our students the best academic environment available. PTH provides technology through mini-ipads, ipads, and laptops in the classroom. We currently have a 3-D printer, students use the computer lab weekly, and much more! Pine Tree Hill teachers are lifelong learners and eager to stay current to provide our students with the best education. PTH teachers engage in professional development and are given opportunities to grow through field experiences, workshops, conferences, team meetings, team building experiences, and the list goes on. My son has enjoyed his time at PTH. He is currently in a 21st century classroom where he seems to know more about technology than I do. His classroom has a smarttable and each student has a chrome book! Pine Tree Hill is simply a wonderful school. Teachers teach with their heart. My son and I are blessed to be a art of the PTH family.

I do not like it. I was very disappointed when I was told they are the best in the state of Kershaw. Moving from Lexington, SC. I moved here with high expectations. The curriculum sucks. I am looking for the best education for my child as a single mom. I have many complaints but I will name two. Their homework comes on worksheets. That don't always match their textbooks and if the child needs to review it the website listed is just the exact copy of the homework nothing to help review it.

Wonderful school! Caring teachers and AWESOME principal!!! School has a bad rap due to location, however I feel it's the best in the district!!!
