im currently a 7th grade girl at white knoll middle, and when i say this i know im saying it for many girls at white knoll, the dress code is extremly sexist and unfair. the young girls at white knoll are targeted for the way their body looks in certain cloths for example a students came in wearing a crop top and shorts but this girl was extremly skinny and didnt really have " a body " to show but another girl was wearing the same thing but her body looked a little diffrent and she got sent to iss for the rest of the day because her mom couldnt get off work. Thats so unfiar to be judged just because your body looks diffrent then other girls, also the dresscode shouldnt only apply to the girls at white knoll. Many boys come into school wearing short shorts and tank tops but they dont get treated the same way we do. Many girls today are being judged for their bodys and why, because boys cant control themselves? Thats not our fault and we should have to feel that way. We shouldnt have to feel like our bodys are a problem, maybe if boys were raised better and they didnt see us getting judged by school administrators they wouldnt judge us and we wouldnt have to hide our bodys. White knoll has a very unfair and sexist dresscode even the boys here at wkm agree with that.

I sent my child to white knoll because we moved and it seemed like the best option. But I was wrong. I feel that the kids don’t get enough discipline. The kids have made it a race war at school and even when kids tell administrators , the other kids don’t get in any trouble. I am thinking of taking my child out of this school. There is only few teacher she truly trust and that says a lot

I would recommend this school but all of the experiences with teachers and other staff have been bad. A majority of the teachers show a lack of care for the interests of the students they teach. They have a terrible emotional outreach problem with the counselors. I was part of a mental outreach program because of some of the answers I left on a survey. They were supposed to do a Zoom meeting for me and many other 'at risk' children but they never hosted it. That is absolutely unacceptable to do kids that are having these mental issues. The bullying that occurs at this school happens all over the school and it often seems like the teachers don't care. I've seen someone get cursed at and called horrible names in front of a teacher and all the teacher did was say 'don't say that'. No further repercussions or anything. The food there also sucks. The food always seems overcooked and its so greasy. They say the give the students food full of nutrition but the food is so gross and always bad. If you do send your child here, pack them a lunch. There are so many problems with this school that i could probably fill up all my character space but i won't, its not worth my time. The only redeeming quality about this school is that you'll always find a group of kids to fit into and become friends with but that's about it.

Normally informed by email as to what is going on in class

Some take pride in their jobs some are just there for a check

Its a lot of kids that have racist beliefs that either go unnoticed or staff doesn't really care about

Posted: August 7, 2019

It has been some alarming things that have taken place at this school that leadership has failed

Posted: August 7, 2019

They do put an effort into helping your child but I do believe it is based off how active the parent is

Posted: August 7, 2019

It happens to often it is not just up to them to control it, it falls a lot on the parents

The school is a decent place to send your kids. It definitley can use some help from parents to be more involved in knowing how their child is acting in school. A lot of the bullying comes from lower income families who choose to ignore racist behavior from their children and a few from kids who are very privileged. I will say the school does a ok job with keeping parents informed but I do not agree with how things are handled all the time in events where kids are being bullied. It definitely can use a little more diversity as far as teachers and staff are concerned. I feel like that would help with some of the bullying that takes place as well with academics.

I am giving this school a 4 because, for the most par,t I have been happy with the experience my daughter has had the three years she has been there. However, Ms. Darlene Jackson, the assistant principle, leaves a lot to be desired. She is rude, at the very least, and not just to the kids, but the parents as well. She has spoke to my daughter several times in a way that I would never allow someone to talk to my child. My daughter is a straight A, beta club student, taking high school classes this year in 8th grade. For this assistant principle to be as rude and condescending as she has been is ridiculous. Mr. Smith the principle is fabulous. He cares very much about the students, and so do the teachers. I just wish Ms. Jackson was just as good.

I'm going into 8th grade at white knoll this past school year I had amazing school teachers in all my classes. I'm active in different events and club, one thing I love about white knoll is they have good clubs, activities, advanced classes, and sports. The school has some very very smart kids, the kids that aren't as smart just don't apply there selfs because the teacher try to help them and care about there grades. So if your wondering were to send your kids to school send them to white knoll middle as long as there willing to work.
