This high school is very disappointing. The administrators care more about their high salaries than the students. Many teachers are often on their phones or absent. Despite parentsÂ’ complaints, nothing has been done. Students deserve better.

This school continues to go down. Their only accomplishment is football and thatÂ’s because their competition level is at minimum. The bullying at this school is at an all time high. This school needs a new direction. There are a few teachers that care and can actually teach, but the majority of the school is built on nepotism. Mr. M is the only administrator that cares about the students. The school district needs to carefully look into this school. But again this whole district is spiraling down and they wonder why, look at the leaders around.

Being that this school has eight classes, where four meet one day and four meet the next, homework is not as much of a burden, since it's not every day for every class.

The current administration (Dr. Gary, principal) has been much more effective than the previous one that was in place when my oldest started high school.

We have been living in this school district for many years. Before we first moved here I had searched the Columbia area schools for where we should live, so that we would be well-situated when our kids started school (at the time we had a toddler and a baby). We chose Lexington-Richland Five, but more specifically an area zoned for Dutch Fork High School because of it's excellent reputation. We have not been disappointed. My oldest is getting ready to graduate from Dutch Fork High school and we couldn't be happier with the school and the programs; especially the music program. The band program is top-rated and I'm so glad our kids have participated and benefited from such an exceptional program and school.

Dutch Fork is a great school that offers many AP courses, electives, and extracurricular activities. Students have many options in courses, allowing them to develop their interests. Students are able to take specialized technical courses off-site which offers courses in fields such as Vet Science and Renewable Energy.

US News and World Report ranked this school #3 in the state this year (top traditional public high school)...so I am fairly baffled as to why great schools would give it a "6"! US News rankings are considered highly credible. Excellent, excellent school!

Dutch Fork offers more AP classes than some nearby schools. It has a Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Program available for students who qualify for this rigorous course of study. They have excellent teachers and a wonderful Silver Spirit Band. We are thoroughly pleased with the education our son is getting.
