Transferred from a good public school when I moved to MN, nothing but bullying harassment and drugs, first day of school saw kids shoving eachother, smell of pot in the bathrooms and graffiti too some teachers are completely tired and don't deal with troublemakers although some are incredibly kind.
(if you are moving to mn look at other schools please)

As a student that just graduated from the school, Id say the school started going uphill after a new principal in my 7th grade year (2020-2021). The staff are friendly and try to be chill with the students. Near the end of my 8th grade year, the school had to hire security for one morning because there were reports of a lot of students doing drugs.

Terrible my children have been going to this school for 3 months and in a 1 month time frame I have experienced 2 occasions where a Male teacher has been inappropriate with a female student one including my daughter. Im having the police investigate at this moment.

Good in most areas with the teachers.

After his first year, more than 40% of Principal Hartwell's teachers left Hopkins. Some for other districts, some for other schools in Richland One, and some left the state (or country) entirely. Nearly four years later, some positions have turned over several times because he does not treat his staff professionally. He plays favorites, he ignores disciplinary concerns, and he is tactless with parents.
Hopkins is going to continue its sad decline until he is gone.

The new principal does not have the experience nor compassion to increase student achievement. The turn over of teachers is on average 15 teachers leaving every year. With that number of turnovers, it's almost impossible to make the necessary improvements. The school's State report card grade says it all. Under the new leadership, the students' performance on standardized test have gone WAY down. What does it take to replace a principal who can't get the job done?
