In the school, I was speaking from experience for three years ago when I was in third grade I was treated poorly. The kids were having inappropriate behavior towards me, stopping behind and touching very inappropriate parts. They were harassing me and a teacher did nothing about it and just rode her eyes this is a terrible traumatic experience for me. I do not recommend going to the school and every counsel that I talked to did not help the situation Please I recommend going to Lake Carolina elementary

Find another school. I had absolute worst experience at Pontiac. Specifically with a 3rd grade teacher here. My child went from happy to miserable within the months. There is very little organization within the classroom- she constantly moves the kids seat (sometimes multiple times per month) so they kids could never get comfortable. I witnessed with my own eyes the kids hitting each other- yelling, and just very disorderly. Meanwhile the teacher kept walking off leaving the kids to fend for themselves. She must talk about herself frequently as Ive had multiple people tell me how she is always venting about personal issues which includes her marital issues, severe mental health issues, possible eating disorders and even rehab! How on earth is she allowed to continue teaching, its absolutely ridiculous. And if you try to complain about the issues the administration automatically defends their teacher. One administrator in particular is new to the school but she has been employed at several schools in this district. Apparently it is difficult to terminate an administrator so sometimes they just move them around. So even though they might have had issues at other schools (showing patterns of complaints) they still continue to be employed forcing children and parents to deal with the incompetence. I sincerely hope this school gets a major overhaul and teacher are vetted a little better.

We moved here from another state and our 5 and 6 year old always complained about going to school. Then we moved here and they started to attend Pontiac. I havent heard them complain once about going to school and when I pick them up, theyre happy. Their teacher always keep us up to date even giving us a call if needed. One of my kids have gotten so much better with math and the other with their reading. I definitely recommend this school.

I just recently moved to this area and I thought the transformation for my son would have been hard. The staff at the school has been very helpful and made the transformation for my son very easy. I look forward to a great year for my son and school.

We are fairly new to the area and my children have been at PE for a year. Initially, my concerns were that my children were not being challenged and I have to be honest and say that I still feel that way but I think it has more to do with the state's curriculum, moreso than the school. After voicing my concerns to administration, the teachers and principal were very attentive to my concernes and listened to my suggestions and offered suggestions. Overall, I think the school is great and has a good learning environment. I am sure all of the teachers are good but I interacted, mostly, with 4th and 5th grade teachers and they all have been wonderful. I am, also, thankful for the leadership of the school - Ms. Elliot, Ms. Beaman, and Mr. Franklin have definitely helped make our school year a good one.
