THIS IS SCHOOL IS ONE OF THE WORST SCHOOLS I EVER SEEN, this school includes of students bullying and calling names to others but the staff doesnt do anything about it. There are so many fights mostly every week. Dont let your children attend this school.

Do not come to this school. Like serious DONT COME. There are a lot of aggressive people here and acting inapropriate. Students are acting inapropriate by peoples body parts and other things that is not okay. Teachers are unhelpful when some of them are helpful. Teachers are telling students to shut their mouths and threat other kids by assault. There has been some FIGHTS. Bad environment. Food is nasty, raw, and burnt. Eww that's too disgusting.

This school is very disorganized. Poor communication and your concerns are met with canned/corporate answers. Lots of teacher turnover. Outside of the magnet program, I do not recommend.

This school smells smoke and it stink. The lunch is poor and raw. The kids are here that are racist. Teachers always yell a lot to kids. Some kids be loud and cuss to the teachers. Teachers are involved with the fights, and break a window when fighting. PLEASE YOU WILL HAVE TO SURVIVE THIS SCHOOL.

My family and I came from a different state and this was the school in our area! Extremely disappointed! Whole school is very disorganized! I don't think any of the staff is for the students! Last year I reported over and over about how my daughter was being mistreated and bullied by students and nothing was ever addressed! The school system in general is ran very poorly and is not for the children!
Beyond disappointed with the 6th grade counselor and the way he communicates! Very confrontational in my opinion!
If you have the option to pick a different school, I most certainly would.

Teachers here don't care if someone comes upset, they target you even more, most teachers have favorites and just pick on the students for fun
Overall I feel most teachers are very petty and offer little to no emotional support, some teachers can't control their classroom, allowing students to talk and be loud but pick on certain things, which make absolutely zero sense

When I went here, I was in the SIDI magnet program, all honors classes and in band. I was violently bullied and abused each day by the future gangs of America. They would steal my stuff and threaten me till I cried. The lunch room smelled like spoiled milk all the time and those who brought their own lunch were bullied by students and staff. I am not a very social person, nor am I large in size so this made me an easy target. I hate the fact that the students treated me different because I lacked pigment in my skin,(they told me outright that this was the reason) and this school will give you more mental problems than solitary confinement. When my mom told the guidance counselor about this bullying, all that was done was I was called to his office and he said just to keep doing what I was doing. It is impossible to stand up for yourself here because if you speak harshly to one, the whole gang will attack you later that day. Teachers show favoritism and there is now smoking and vaping in class and in the hallways. Bathrooms are beyond anything a human should use. My favorite teachers were the only ones that didnt act racist towards me. Teachers would tell us what to put on our end of the year surveys so most of the positive reviews are fake. The website photos are not real either just so you know. I would not wish this treatment that is shown to all students who are slightly different, on even my worst enemy. There is a place for all of the people who go there.

the bathrooms are vile, to say the least. they smell like urine and are filthy. the lunches are disgusting, unhealthy, and sometimes unsanitary. because of that, some students don't even eat lunch. i myself have caught many gastrointestional diseases from eating school lunch. bullying is particurally a problem at this school, and goes unnoticed. teachers are constantly using obscene language, are absent, and being inappropiate. they also take a horribly long time to grade assginments. there are a lot of fights, acts of vandalism, acts of favoritism from teachers, and violence. the violence has gotten so bad that we now sometimes need to go through medal detectors. in addition to that, we have an extremely strict bathroom schedule, which is annoying because i now have to wait until i get home to use the bathroom. do not go to this school unless you have to.

I would not recommend this school to anyone's child, there's a lot of foolishness going on. Teachers have favorites, and curse and use profanity. The teachers don't do anything to help getting bullied and you will feel alone. Teachers at summit couldn't care less about mental health or kids getting picked on but when you stand up for yourself or express how you feel you get in trouble and will be misunderstood, when you really just need a teacher to make you feel like you belong there, not all teachers are bad, but most of them don't know what its like to feel exhausted and bullied every day, the school bathrooms are disgusting and are probably cleaned a few times a year. I hope this review was helpful, do not bring your child to this school

As a 7th grade student at Summit, I can say with confidence that this is probably one of the few schools I actually wouldn't want people to go to.With the amount of nasty food, drama, fights, staff, favoritism to other students, and other things like that, I'm surprised that no one broke under the pressure. Some of the male teachers and a bit of the female teachers are constantly near the opposite gender of students to the point where it's uncomfortable.
constant students not passing a grade and having to repeat one, constant fights, horrible-looking bathrooms and food, and other horrible things that I can't describe. Just overall avoid this school as much as you possibly can. Back when I was in elementary school, I used to love school and wouldn't want to leave. Now, ever since middle school here, I feel like I'm never enough for anything or anyone. Some teachers there make me feel like they are there to make students lives a living hell.

honestly, you have to fit in to survive at this school. yes teachers do teach but only teachers who teach honor students or one who are in programs. some other teachers quit and others don´t even teach. the breakfast is alright though I can't say the same about lunch. and the people here are very aggressive and like to pick on kids by there size. weekly school fights happen and and many kids are sent to afterschool detention. and administrators are pretty aggressive even when you do the smallest things, some i can say overreact to much. honestly if you are small in size i prefer you don´t go to this school unless you make yourself pretty well known. and if you are that one kid who is anti social or doesn´t talk to that much people. you will get severely bullied. it takes looks, personality, wealth and social skills to survive at this school.

The school's learning ways to help other students isn't very good. Students are cursing and running around and they never give other student a voice. As a student in 2021 in this school, I feel as if I was only invited to this school so they can get more bigger rating, but so far im having a very low experience making friends, especially since the parents of these kids care little to nothing about the student's behavior. The teachers love to threaten the student bout taking there phones away but clearly they dont. This is school should be recommended as a last resort school.

My son has an IEP in place my son comes home and is totally lost when it comes to what he has to do for homework. My husband went to school one day to talk to one of his teacher about what was going on and she had the audacity to tell me he knows what to do . If he knew what to do I wouldn't have to take time off from work to go there. Apparently she didn't read his IEP because she is definitely not following it. I am not through with this yet .

Absolutely terrible. I have 3 children at 3 different schools in the district. My kids at the other 2 schools have had exceptional experiences with top notch learning environments with caring and focused administration. This school however is a dire exception. Its seens every day my child comes home and tells me about her day at Summit Parkway Middle I am appalled.

My child comes home every day talking about the fighting a bullying that goes on here. He is failing classes that he has done well in while attending other schools and not once has a teacher responded to my requests of finding ways to help him do better. This kids here are out of control. Blood spilled in the hallways due to fights, kids threatening other students for lunch items, stealing, you name it. I wish we had a better option. I feel horrible sending my child here

I have two daughters that was honor roll students 7th and 8th graders since they haved arrived at this school grades have went down, they are bullyed by students as well as teachers my kids will have a good education this will be their first and last year at this school as a parent I do not recommend this school I have a rising 6th she will not be at Summit Parkway Middle we are going where teachers are teaching!!!

I went to this school for my sixth grade year. Let's just say it was the worst school I ever went to. Bad learning environment,horrible teachers,and lots of bullying takes place . I wish I would have never attended this school. My first semester involved me getting bullied by a group of girls . Telling the teachers never worked. The teachers would ignore and go on with their business like it never happened. The bullying got worse to where I rarely came to school. The children in this school have no control. Cursing and fighting takes place a lot . The teachers come to school depressed the students have no chance for a good education. I have switched many classes in one semester because of teacher problems. There was once where a teacher even cursed at the class . I recommend never sending your child to this school.

Summit Parkway Middle School is an outstanding school; the teachers and staff care about the students well-being and education. They have the STEMS Institute of Design and Innovation Magnet Program of which my son loves and has learned more than just the regular basic curriculum. This gives him the ability to show the art and science of things. They are made to be critical and creative thinkers. Excellent school for future STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) related fields in our world.

The summit is ok but they have gone everything on computer so the kids just look a computer all day really no hands on .this is hard for students who learn by hands on . all schools are there for anymore is for the state test scores. they spend more time teaching how to pass these test than learning I see it with my kids in three schools.elem. middle & high . it all comes do to numbers.

We are a military family who moved here about a year ago. My children have attended many schools both inside and outside the U.S. This is the worst school we have dealt with. The standards are lower here than other districts elsewhere. There are numerous problems in the school with the students. The teachers either can't/won't get control over rude, disrespectful, and obnoxious behavior in their classrooms and it makes learning difficult for students who are actually there to learn. We heard over and over again about kids who would yell at the teachers and other kids, run around the classrooms, and climb on the desks making it impossible to hear. Some teachers are good; some are terrible. One teacher "corrected" my son when he said WWII involved the U.S. fighting both Germany AND Japan. She told him they were different wars. When he said she was wrong, she got upset and told him she only paid attention to U.S. history and didn't care about international history. Yikes! This is a teacher? I guess it didn't occur to her that these wars ARE a part of U.S. history! The day we learned a police officer was assigned to ride our child's bus we decided to become a homeschooling family.

This school is lacking in several areas. Overall it seems as though the teachers don't have control over the students because the classrooms are filled with noisy and disrespectful children, which make it hard to hear or concentrate in class. In part that is definitely the parents fault. The teachers are supposed to put grades in the system so you can keep up with where you child is at but they wait until the last minute and don't keep them completely up to date. So you believe your child has a certain grade then it changes right before reports go out. The magnet program is good and the teacher who runs it is great. If this weren't my sons last year there I would probably pull him back out to homeschool again.

I am wondering where these people had their kids prior to this school because I think this school lacks good teachers, the kids that attend there are horrible with lots of dicipline problems, and the rules they have are ridicules. My daughter is an honor roll student and has never been in trouble at school, not even detention once. This school is horrible and I o not recommend. Then again if you live in this district what other choice do you have, other than home school. Honestly, my family is considering the home school path because I fear my daughter will not get the education she is use to.
