My son is constantly bullied and it is constantly being reported but nothing is ever done. Kids wander around all the time. The students spend most days watching movies like goosebumps and the teacher has trouble teaching. The students talk over the teacher Anderson lesson plans are never made in advance. Theyve been learning the same thing for over a week now. The principal is rude and pretentious and I cant wait until my child leaves.

2nd grade , the homework is turned in on fridays. I particularly like this because it allows me more time to go over and check my daughters' homework

My daughters' teachers cared alot about the progress she made, especially her homeroom teacher, ms. Montoya, who was very attentive. My daughter started the year reading below average, and ended the year above average.

The principal hosts several breakfast/snack meetings where he will ask for any input and try to resolve any problems (usually only about 10 parents attend), but we use these meetings to address anything that should be discussed

My daughter was being bullied and threatened (2nd grade), when i addressed the issue with the teacher, she put an end to that instantly. That same day it was addressed to the girls' parents and never again did we have a problem with that girl picking on my daughter.

The principal, the teachers, the staff; everyone is very caring. I'll be sad when my daughter has to leave after 5th grade. I highly recommend

Had to take my son out of this school because he was getting left behind in certain subjects. Didn't have a problem until he got to 3rd grade. I would send him to tutoring, but later found out it was on a computer. And the teacher would not get the results till like 2 days later which didn't help. Because of course by then he was way behind and confused.

This school was good until the 2012/13 school year came around. Since then, it has gone downhill. The Good: - Mostly, fantastic teachers. - Safe location. - Beautiful Building. - Hatchett Hurrincanes are just cool! The Bad: - Parent involvement is not wanted, although they ask for parents to be more involved. - Poor food quality. - Restricted supplies for teachers/students. - Inconsistent rules. - Questionable administration. - Dissapointing how issues are handled by browbeating and scaring elementary students.

I have been teaching at Hatchett since it opened and I absolutely love it! We have strong and compassionate leaders; and a very dedicated group of teachers. Our students and teachers are our family. We love to learn together and work hard to do our best. We are the mighty Hatchett Hurricanes and we are the best!
