We moved to The Woodlands from out-of-state and are so blessed to have found The Greystone House for our son to attend. The administration and staff is very supportive of our son and works closely with our family. The school provides excellent continuity of care and works alongside our family to make sure our son developmental needs are met educationally and socially. Contrary to many schools which claim to be "Montessori", The Greystone House actually adheres to, and executes, the true Montessori methods of learning.
Our son's teachers are extremely experienced and know our son's individual strengths and weaknesses, and tailor his educational curriculum accordingly. As a result, our son is confident, well-rounded and flourishing academically.
I truly don not have the words to express the quality of care offered, and the positive impact that The Greystone House has made in the life of our son and in our family.

We absolutely love this school for our boy! Hes been attending since he was 2. Once we found out they offered private kindergarten, we said sign us up. Everyone, is amazing there. We would keep him there every year if we could. If you are looking for a Montessori school, Greystone is the place for you!

The worst part was we felt stuck because of lack of options for daycare in the woodlands area. thankfully we found additional resources and got out of Greystone when we could. my son refers to his last teacher there as a bully. she has no business working with children.

I am a child psychologist and deliberately sought out a Montessori education for my children. From the minute I stepped through the doors 5 years ago, I knew this was the school for us. All the lead directresses are Montessori certified and have a loving, patient demeanor. There is very little turnover, especially in the lead positions, which speaks to the happiness of staff. Amber, the owner, teaches my son, and has a gift for understanding the learning needs of boys. We stayed for Kindergarten, and he is excelling far beyond (by grades worth) local peers in reading and math. Both of my younger children have attended since infancy, and I cannot say enough about the love & care they receive in the infant and toddler classrooms. People often ask me how I have accomplished so much with my career in the last few years. I truthfully tell them that much of it is due to my complete comfort and security of having my children in the care of Greystone House. It frees me to pursue my dreams knowing they are loved, nurtured, and having fun.

They do not comprehend Montessori especially with regards to discipline

The teachers bully the children which is not the environment that teaches compassion and integrity

Horrible, the teachers use timeouts and bullying even for toddlers. Very bad experience

My daughter started in the infant room when she was 7 months old and now she is 6 years old, about to graduate Kindergarten. Greystone House has helped me raise my child into a well mannered bright young lady. The teachers help the children get ahead in life and spend one on one time with each child.
My daughter can count to 10 in 5 different languages, open minded to eating different types of healthy food, learned to read by the time she was 4 1/2, and the school even taught the children how to help at home. When my daughter was 3, she learned how to fold towels and helped me put dishes away. They teach our children life skills as well as educate in such a positive fun way. This school is small, and everyone is like family. Each kid learns at their own pace and help each other out. Its a beautiful sight. The staff really love their jobs and it shows. Once you learn the Montessori way, you wont want to try anything different.

every Teacher takes time to learn each students strengths and weaknesses and turns it into a positive learning experience to help grow developmentally, physically, and emotionally

My son has been here for over two years, my daughter for over six months. We joined because of great recommendations from friends and neighbors. And the great hours, location and price. The main teachers are excellent and committed to the Montessori teachings. The assistant teachers are so friendly, too. And we love the center's directors.

I have nothing good to say about this school. It lacks leadership, educational standards, and parents are completely left in the dark as there is little to no communication. It's chaotic and is far from montessori standards.

Wonderful school with a certified montessori directress in every classroom. I am not sure where the turnover comes from. My daughter's teacher has been there 9 years and I know her toddler teacher has been there even longer. One of the administrators has been there for I think about 17. I know they had to let a longtime teacher go in June of 2011 (hmmm... maybe that has something to do with the bad reviews at that time) - but the owners were really upfront about it. Aside from that even the assistants appeared to be the same the whole time we were there. My daughter actually left last fall for public school - but we were there for 2 years and loved it. She had Miss Depali. This is a privately owned school and not a chain so we always found it to be more personal. Some of the playground equipment is a bit old, but it has character. They do a lot of family events throughout the year which was always fun.

do not send your child to this school in the woodlands. had very bad experience over the course of a year. the owner, christine hart, is unprofessional and has no background in child education. she cannot keep good teachers and turnover is extremely high. she tries to save money by hiring inexperience youg girls to run the classes. i dont know how she can get away with this if the school is supposedly AMI accredited.

There was a time when I would have sung Greystone's praises to any parent but those times have changed. The ownship of the school has passed onto one of the Administrators and the quality of the education and leadership has suffered. I expect high staff turn over from the teacher's aides but not in the core staff. While the school name implies a certain educational standard, they are down to 1 qualified directress. A Montessori education will work for alot of student but it's not for all students. It feels that the focus is no longer on providing a montessori education and educating parents appropriate expectations. If the new owners do not want to continue down the montessori path, that is their choice but they should not advertise themselves as a montessori school.

Since beginning at this school, my son has made great strides developmentally. He absolutely loves his teachers and I have the utmost confidence in them, and yes, they do have a certified Directress in each classroom from infant through primary. We have been very pleased with this school.
