All of my children graduated from AHS and if I had any more, I would we proud to send them to this great school. What are the great things that I enjoy about the school? Is the counselors go above and beyond helping students that reach out and ask for help. The teaching staff is by far the best Ive seen in any surrounding public school. The level of advanced classes/AP, honors classes, and dual credit classes help my children stay out of the curve. I feel that my children were absolutely prepared for the next step in their life, which is college. Even though the school has a very large student body population. Every child seems to find their own niche and become successful if they choose to. Both of my students are in the UT system schools. With my youngest attending university of Texas at Austin-The McCombs School of business - which is considered a public IV school and perhaps the best business school in the area.

One of the better schools in the district. My daughter showed no interest in furthering her education until attending this school. I'm excited for the next step in her education. The faculty and staff care and offer many programs to assist in the students learning.

This school expects a lot from those who work there. If you attempt to communicate with teachers and administration, then you can expect the same in return. Oftentimes what parents perceive as a lack of communication is the result of teachers having 180 kids and assuming that parents will use their online ability to check their children's grades instead of having to be contacted directly in high school.

The culture of high expectations is unmistakeable at the campus. The students are continually doing service projects in the community.

School has changed dramatically in the last 3 years. Students now show great pride in the school. They have even started calling it "The Atascocita High School"

My granddaughter attends this school and has nothing but great things to say. She has been an "iffy" student until she came here and now is an "AB" student.

The school is Atascocita High School. We just moved to the area, and if I could afford to move out of this school's district, I would. Mistakes were made from the day of enrollment before school even started by the administration there, and they gave me the run around for two weeks. I had to call the Asst. Superintendent. Even he did not assist. To advocate for my son, I had to go to the school for a meeting (which the principal all of a sudden could not make) and tell them I was not leaving until someone could meet with me to resolve at least the scheduling issue. What kind of example is the administration of this school and district showing parents and students, when they don't keep their word or appointments. By the way, I am disabled and it is quite an effort for me to get to the school to begin with. If you are considering moving to this area, please reconsider ....There were more issues that occured. But it would take too long and there is not enough space here to describe everything that has occured. Once again, if you can avoid this school...please do, for the sake of your childs education.

This school is one of the worst in Humble ISD. The faculty is awful, specifically the principals. They will harass your student before contacting you and then give them an unreasonable punishment for the smallest infractions. Kingwood High or Kingwood Park are much better schools compared to Atascocita High.
