Parents, please read serious concerns about student safety
I'm speaking out because this has gone too far. The administration at this school continues to allow violent behavior to go unchecked. My child was assaultedanother student put their hand over her mouth and nose, restricting her breathing, then punched her in the stomach. She couldnt breathe and was terrified.
This same student has done this before to others. The school labeled it as a "simple assault," but under Texas law, this can be considered a third-degree felony. The administration is consistently misclassifying serious incidents to avoid state attention and accountability.
There is a pattern of neglect and failure to protect students. All three principals at this school have shown little to no concern, and the safety of our children is clearly not a priority.

As a kid, this school is horrible, the kids are always are making ruckus and the teachers never do anything. Constant bullying, teachers say they are going to do something but they never do. Class is never interesting

Bullying, incompetent and unfair administration. Fight culture and ridiculous protocol for incidents. They send the kids to alternative school for the smallest incidents to get them out of their hair. The intimidate and ridicule the children who report bullying.

This school is awesome the teachers actually care about you I moved last year and I miss it all the time Harris has something for everybody except for a few students at the school everyone is overall good and tries in school but the administrators are not that good I had one problem and they choose to listen to the worst children they have

My daughter goes to Harris and my only issue is that there is a BIG problem with bullying. My daughter and a few others that I know of are being bullied. They do have the "stop orders" but that does no good for the bullies. When they continue to harass my child, nothing is done. There are no citations handed out and I wouldn't be surprised if their parents even know about the issue. So sad to say that we will not be going to Harris next year and we won't miss it one bit.
