My daughter has been at this school for four years now and we have never had a problem that was not addressed immediately and or resolved. This school has awesome teachers and students, my daughter has learned quite well for her age. And though we had part remote learning last yeart and will have some this new 2021 school year that I truly believe that my daughter will fall right in place for her grade this year due to her excelling prior to this pandemic. I will definitely send my child to this school.

Home work is a very important tool for learning.

Teachers are effective because student (my child) retains what they teach.

The students are taught humanity: human kindness... do unto others as you would have them to unto you.

Leadership is very effect because they care about the children needs.

Yes, teachers provide various ways of presenting instruction in order to meet student needs

This school has zero tolerance for bullying and deals with it appropriately.
Posted: November 4, 2018
Most of the staff are bullies themselves. Student has reported being bullied by another student but nothing was ever done except telling the child that maybe they are mistaken.
Posted: November 4, 2018
I would not ever recommend a parent to send their child to this school unless your child is a genius and you don't plan on challenging Dr. Williams about anything.
Posted: November 4, 2018
Homework has often been impossible because teacher gave assignments with material not yet reviewed in class. Most homework is to be done from students own handwriting, no books.

Dr. Williams is a bully. Do what she says and how she says or your child suffers. Staff has been witnessed physically discipline students and admin and school board doesn't do a complete investigation

APA is a great school as long as you can tolerate Dr Williams is what I was told before enrolling my child. Dr Williams is at times aggressive if you challenge her. She will approach you and inquiry about why you are dropping your student off late or picking them up early, even if other parents are around. All of this is personally intrusive. Additionally, there isn't a written policy stating you can not check your student out unless she finds the reason appropriate. Lastly, the board for the charter and school are intertwined. There is no immediate recourse when you have an issue with Dr Williams. You can not go to the TEA website and get contact information for the board members, you can only leave a message with...Dr Williams. Dr Williams is the principle and superintendent and her husband is the dean of students. Our government has better checks and balances than this school.

Dr Williams approach when interacting with parents is not effective and often times unprofessional. She will confront parents in front of other parents. She has even sent flyers home stating what "appropriate attire" for parents was for school programs.

I agree they instill these traits, however, not all of the faculty exhibit these traits. Dr Williams only shows parents respect when they "do what they are told."

Compared to other schools we have attended, APA gives out a lot. However, I find the work beneficial.

Excellent school! Teachers work very hard to help the students. They stay until 5:00pm to provide help to students who need it. The school also provides opportunities for students to travel out-of-state and out-of-country, thus, giving them a different perspective, making them more aware of what is happening outside Texas.

As a teacher at Ambassadors Preparatory I can honestly say that we have a single-minded emphasis on academic excellence.
Any student or parent will find that if one's desire is to improve and grow in the 21st century skills necessary as a contemporary citizen of the world APA is the place to be.

I have seen nothing but the greatest consideration for the quality of the students being produced by APA. The students appear to be well-behaved and attentive to their instructors. The students show respect for their teachers and seem quite engaged in their studies which encompasses a wide range of relevant subjects besides the basics.

I'll be teaching Spanish and Art there. The campus is wonderful and the staff very friendly and professional. I am looking forward to meeting every student and working with the other teachers to enrich their lives.

First off, every school does not commit these kinds of Mistakes!!!! When you physically assaulted a child you're not making a mistake!!!! Maybe you need to be told to control your anger... A child is an innocent victim!!!! Shame on you as a parent for condoning this!!! And shame on the school for keeping these employees!!!

No school is perfect. We all commit mistakes. But one thing I'm sure of, this school is committed to the success of every students. The school is growing every year. From around 330 students last year to almost 370 students this year with dozens in the waiting list. A lot of students who left previously keep on coming back. So who said that this school is losing students? Ambassadors Preparatory Academy is growing and getting stronger every year.

We love this school. The academics are challenging, and fun. They focus on intellectual and emotional intelligence. Children are taught to be aware of the world, and are expected to watch the news, as well as discuss it every morning. The class trips are unbelievable! (I'm envious!) My children are excited to go to school, and love talking about their day. The teachers are a brilliant, interesting, diverse group. Their educational backgrounds are impressive. The only downside, is this school only goes up till 8th grade, and thus far there aren't any charter options for High School. Dr. Williams is wonderful. She dotes on each child, and knows their names. Her school is a community, it's group oriented;it's a fantastic team. The school really involve the parents. Just like a college, your children's teacher will have daily office hours where you can meet with them. They do get homework even in Pre-K. Our children are excited about it, and enjoy doing their homework. Our 3 year old was so enthusiastic, he came home grabbing at the air proclaiming "Look! I touching gas!" - at 3, they were taught the difference between a gas and a solid. How cool is that?

She looks out for the best interest of the students academically, emotionally, socially, and physically. GISD can learn alot from this school!!
