Brandeis High School

We relocated from Arizona where our oldest attended a top public high school. Our youngest was in many of the AP courses at Brandeis, which was her only saving grace. Our daughter was told by her high school guidance counselor, "just apply to the community college." Our daughter said no, I want to attend Purdue University. She applied and was accepted. I met with the career guidance counselor. I asked what his role was and if he helped students and hosted university visits. Our previous high school hosted dozens of universities all over the country and parents volunteered to be present in the room during these presentations. The director was on the phone with his wife when I arrived and when off the call and during our meeting he stated he had tried to get universities to come but they really didn't have any interest. As parents we did EVERYTHING to support our daughter during her application process at Brandeis. A neighbor's child is participating in a high school collaboration program with a UT Health lab that she found on her own. She said she was the only applicant from Brandeis because nothing was shared from the high school. She came from Health Careers where the school shared about application process. It's appalling that there is little if any exposure and support for students wanting to attend college. Seems the focus is Military and sports. At our previous high school conferences were held (7 minute rotation for each class) where students attended with parents. It was a collaboration and progress update with a growth mindset philosophy of what's going well and goals for improvement. I only met our daughter's teachers at open house where we were lectured to only listen to presentation and not bother teacher's individually. I understand this, however to have zero communication is just pure laziness! Our previous school wanted a career and guidance counselor but didn't have the numbers to support, zero excuses Brandeis, do better!

Well Brandeis High School was not the place for me my siblings went there and they hated it. I went thare for freshman and sophomore year and now I’m at the Anne frank academy. The Spec-Ed program was not great the kids in the ALE program in thare and the IA’s looked like the heated thare job the were so rude at least most of them ware and then my sophomore year in applied geometry class were awful they skipped class, they were loud,rude,annoying and the teacher did nothing about it. He had no rules in that class what so ever. Like if a kid left across the room, he didn’t care like he legit did not care about us. That’s what I think. The spec-Ed program there did not give me chances are academics of anything they didn’t push us there anything into like harder stuff. they were like vaping in the restrooms is what I’ve heard every single day from a person and no stall doors, and it was a mess everywhere, and they were only 4 custodians for the entire school for the 22-23 school year so yeah. I was also in the spirit and fine arts dance program there. I was on pep squad sophomore year. And it was so competitive like Brandeis is the most competitive school to go to the there are no actual pep officers and there are no leadership opportunities for regular pep squaders. And also there’s no JV drill team They’re like there is at most schools i tried out for dance team, ballet company and felid dance co and I did not make any single one of them even dance routines for comp season for pep and spring show season for my Fine Arts dance class I was only an ever one routine for each of those and I was always in the back and I was an alternate for them while all the other alternates gave up or sat out and didn’t dance and I was the one who dance every day, and my coach and teacher did not give me a chance at all so I was like no I am done with a School I’m not coming back probably so yeah that’s my review on Brandeis High School

The best high school by far! This school gets many new teachers every year but they are all great teachers.

This is the ABSOLUTE best high school in the area. My daughter is actually a transfer student from O'Connor High School. And why? Because, Brandeis High School has an amazing AFJROTC program, great academic standards and support, and Dr. Berger is one of Northside's most involved principals.

I have just graduated from this school and I absolutely LOVED it there. In every grade many of my teachers loved to teach and treated all of the students as equals. The school had great school spirit that brought everyone together and I personally wouldn't want to go anywhere else.

I love this school. It's new, it's clean. The faculty are wonderful and very well disciplined. We happened to fall into this school due to re-zoning but we love it, our daughter loves it, and we look forward to our son going there.

Brandeis High School is a wonderful school. All of the teachers and administrators are excellent. The students know they can suceed because they have teachers that go above and beyond. The AP teachers are top notch. They host before and after school study sessions. The library is open to the students after regular school hours. The track/cross country program is excellent! The principals and counselors are parent friendly. The campus is only 4 years old so it is beautiful.

Brandeis is such a great school. The majority of the teachers excel at teaching and present us with challenges everyday. The orchestra and band programs are magnificent. The athletics are also great. The student body is good as well, but is not perfect, as is expected from teens. All in all, Brandeis is a unique school. (:

THIS IS AN AMAZING SCHOOL!!!!! i am student council vice president, Business professionals of america Treasurer, and Area 2 Region 2 Regional President of our area of san antonio. you are probably thinking, nerd, but im not a nerd at all haha. This is the school to go to! theres no violence, teachers are fantastic and cool!!!
