Genuinely a horrible school. I was a student at that school, and it ruined my mental health. Students at that school are incredibly rude, and staff dont do anything to support the situations. My best friends sister LOST the opportunity to get into morning announcements, even though her audition was amazing. Additionally, they sugar-coat everything there. Not to mention the academics . The academics at that school are far too easy, and teachers dont support students. I would recommend sending your child to another school. This school is genuinely horrible, with rude students, low academics, and rude staff.

As a former student here, this is an amazing school to send your child to. In my experience, none of the teachers were overly harsh. However, none of them were overly lenient either, which is one of the things that makes me admire this school so much. They make everybody sign an anti bullying contract, and there is little if any bullying. When there was bullying, the teachers and staff were quick to step in. Another thing of many that makes me like this school so much is that there are many extracurricular activities, which make sure that kids aren't only focused on learning. Sure, the usual issues still exist, but those are things that happen at every school, no matter how good it is. This was, and I think it will continue to be, an amazing school to be part of.

This is truly an amazing school. My kids started out here in kinder and are now going to 3rd and 4th grade. The staff is always friendly and respectful. All the teachers my kids have had so far and the principal, Mrs. Silberschlag, are beyond wonderful. Theres great communication between the staff and parents. We feel so blessed to have our children attend this school.

I rate my experience Above Excellent! Aue Elementary is welcoming. I feel the love in the school for its students from all Staff and faculty. Aue has a great principle. The office staff are always happy to help. The nurse is caring and knowledgeable and communicates with parents when nessessary. The teachers go above and beyond for their students. It has a strong PTA along with a watch dog program. I feel honored my son gets to attend Julia Newton Aue Elementary. There is so much more. I can not say enough about how much I love Aue Elementary.

My son is in 4th grade. He has been given some opportunities in 4th grade to complete homework during school hours. This allows for less work time spent at home and more time with family, friends and extracurricular after school activities. It allows a child to balance school and home.

I have loved the communication, attention, and teaching styles my son has had from all his teachers from kindergarten to present 4th grade.

Such an amazing school. My daughter is halfway through her third grade year and started in Kindergarten at Aue. There is nothing more I could possibly ask for. Amazing teachers, free tutoring when needed, lots of family events, a wonderful after school care program, a safe learning environment, just enough projects and a strong sense of pride from students and parents alike. I love AUE!

The teachers my child has had have been very patient with her and have given her confidence despite having dyslexia.

The teachers so far have been excellent. This school offers many different ways a parent can communicate with their child's teacher. This builds a great relationship between teacher and parent on helping their child succeed academically.

Aue is an amazing school. It is a hidden gem. The teachers go above and beyond to make this school so successful. We had Mrs. Woods for 1st grade and she is beyond exceptional. She is definitely one of the best educators in San Antonio.

I was a substitute teacher for many schools in Northside ISD and can honestly say Aue Elementary was among the best professional experiences I had during my time there. The kids were energetic and eager to excel, and the staff was always respectful to me despite only being a temporary employee. The campus leadership was amazingly supportive, and would always tell me thanks for helping make their day a little easier. The staff at Aue are located in one of the nicest neighborhoods in the district, but made a substitute teacher from another part of town feel welcome and I always appreciated that. Great school and awesome staff!

I can't say enough about AUE! The parents, teachers, admin, and even the janitors all come together to make this school top notch! This is a true example of public education at it's finest, I feel lucky my children get to attend a school where the teachers are not only qualified, but excited about our future! GO GATORS!

In response to the post regarding Ms. Plummer. She was our 2nd great teacher and we had a wonderful year with her! Yes, she is strict, has high expectations of students, and runs her classroom a certain way, but I believe she is very passionate about teaching and my child thrived in her classroom. I respect the opinion of the other parent writing the negative review. Each child is different and not every child "clicks" with every teacher, but wanted to post a positive response in all fairness to Ms. Plummer, who we loved.

My family is also relocating to San Antonio from Florida and I'm in the process of finding a GREAT school for my son and close to my employer. I've heard great things about this school and look forward to meeting the administrators.

My family may be moving to San Antonio from NYC and is looking for a top notch school for our two elementary aged sons. We have NO idea where to live - but want to ensure that it's in the BEST possible school district.
