The program they have in secondary builds each student up to become great leaders, independent learners, and reflective humans. My son was struggling in public school, and Esprit helped him develop a love of learning again. He is thriving in college and I genuinely believe it is because of the lessons he learned in Middle School and High School.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Esprit International School. The Montessori approach they follow is truly beautiful and inspiring. The Montessori method allows children to learn at their own pace, explore their interests, and build confidence naturally. It’s amazing to see how thoughtfully the philosophy is woven into everyday learning, creating an environment where curiosity and independence thrive.

What stands out the most is how deeply the teachers care about each and every student. They are patient, attentive, and genuinely invested in the growth and happiness of the children. You can feel their passion for education and their commitment to nurturing not only academic skills but also character, creativity, and kindness.

The school environment itself is warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed. The classrooms are calm, organized, and inviting, and the overall atmosphere throughout the school feels positive and supportive. It’s a place where children feel safe, valued, and excited to learn every day.

Esprit International School truly embodies the beauty of Montessori education, and we are so grateful to be part of such a caring and enriching community.

We have been part of this school community since my daughter was just 18 months old, and I cannot say enough about the profound impact it has had on her academic growth and personal development.

The leadership team is truly exceptional. Their vision, stability, and paramount investment in both the students and the academic program are evident in every aspect of the school—from curriculum decisions to teacher support to long-term student outcomes. This is a school that does not cut corners and does not settle for average.

Academically, my daughter has thrived. She consistently tests in the 95th percentile nationally, which I attribute not only to strong curriculum standards but to the individualized attention she receives from teachers who genuinely know her strengths, challenges, and learning style. The teachers are deeply engaged, proactive, and invested in each child’s success—not just academically, but as a whole person.

The school also provides outstanding college preparedness and enrichment opportunities, ensuring that students are not only meeting benchmarks but are confident, curious, and prepared for the next stages of their education. My daughter has benefited enormously from the special attention, encouragement, and high expectations set by her teachers.

As a parent, it is incredibly reassuring to know that my child is in an environment where excellence is the standard, leadership is strong, and students are truly seen and supported. This school has been a cornerstone of my daughter’s success, and I am deeply grateful for the role it continues to play in her education.

Highly recommend to any family seeking a school that combines academic rigor, thoughtful leadership, and genuine care for its students.

Our three daughters have been attending Esprit for the last 8 years. We had nothing but positive experience. The program is well thought through and adapted to students needs as necessary. Real life based projects in middle and high schools teach kids not only theoretical materials but also real life based skills. Students are taught to work in groups and independently. The mix of international and local students teaches them to accept different cultures and to keep open mind in every situation.

We love Esprit school and all their staff. We definitely recommend it to every family out there and their kids.

Very welcoming, multi-cultural international families and perfect Montessori education. Raising curios, intelligent, caring, independent young generation, starts here...Highly recommended this school. Of course not for everyone, sometimes kids fit perfectly but parents cannot adjust the school or reverse. Kindness is the key. Putting all your anger or your personality here won't help anyone just showing your true colors.

I do not recommend Esprit International School, especially the Primary program (Toddler–PreK). Teacher and staff turnover is extremely high—my child had three teachers in one year, and families were not informed of changes. Many students left mid-year, which disrupted consistency and community. Academically, children are not challenged or taught at grade level, and the program lacks structure. The Primary building is outdated, with frequent AC and heating problems that make classrooms uncomfortable. The playground is poorly maintained, and while the main building is newer, the youngest students remain in the old spaces. The admissions process is slow and frustrating; emails often go unanswered, tuition refunds are delayed, and the person handling admissions is rarely present. Since the recent sale to a Mexican investment group, instability and uncertainty have only grown. Overall, poor communication, lack of professionalism, and inadequate facilities make this school a disappointing choice for families.

If you’re looking for a well-structured, high-quality education, Esprit International School is not the place. This school is severely understaffed, with inexperienced teachers often juggling multiple subjects they are not qualified to teach. High school students had three different English teachers in just one school year, highlighting the extreme instability.

The level of disorganization is shocking. Events, schedules, and important decisions are constantly made at the last minute, leaving students and parents scrambling. Communication is terrible. Parents are rarely informed about changes in a timely manner, and there is a complete lack of transparency.

The worst part? Students are not being properly prepared for college. The curriculum is weak, and the overall academic standards are far below what you would expect from a private school.

Save your money and find a school that truly invests in its students’ education and future success. Esprit is not it.

It appears that many of the positive reviews for this school were requested, but unfortunately, that was not my experience. I am an alumnus of Esprit, and like several of my classmates who also left, I only have negative experiences to share.

The issues begin with the administration, which I found to be incompetent and prone to favoritism and nepotism. Parent involvement in education is minimal, and teacher turnover is high—unfortunately, many of the best teachers tend to leave quickly. Advanced academic programs are nearly nonexistent, and I never felt the school was interested in helping students reach their full potential or preparing them adequately for college.

After transferring to another IB school, I realized how much I had missed at Esprit and what true college preparation looks like. During my time there, I saw firsthand the decline in upper elementary and high school enrollment, as well as the steady reduction in programs. For example, the music teacher was let go and later joined The Grove, which has also attracted several other talented former Esprit teachers in recent years.

If you are considering this school for middle or high school, I strongly recommend exploring other schools in the area if your goal is strong academic preparation and real challenge.

Esprit is not a simple traditional school where all the students have to do the same thing at the same time. It is an environment with the Montessori system where each student develops their own full potential.
Has Great teachers that guide each of the students in a personalized way.
I’ve been part of Esprit community for more than 12 years. It’s been a blessing!!!!

My children have attended Esprit International School since the primary classroom, all they to high school and I couldn't be happier. The teachers are caring, understanding and have a true passion for teaching and understanding each child's unique style. I have whitnessed this time and again with my own sons. For example when one of them needed more challenge in and the school adjusted his class level so he could progress at his own pace and ended up graduating a whole year earlier. My other son presented sone learning differences, the school spotted that he needed support and they worked closely with us to provide accommodations that helped him thrive academically and emotionally. Or when they started a pizza bussiness to earn money for their ciltural High School trip and the school supported every step encouraging their entrepeneurship spirit while teaching them budgeting, teamwork and marketing in a meningfull way. I have so many more examples that don't fit in one review.
The school forters independence, creativity and the love of life long learning and has a strong sense of community and is welcomming to international families from all over the world.
I am incredibly greatfull to have found Esprit all those years ago when my sons were little and having had the opportunity to see them enjoy the strong academic, social and emotional foundation that they have received every step pf the way!
I highly recommend the school!

We have had a wonderful experience with Esprit International School. It has been a perfect fit for our family. The campus is beautiful, the staff and administration are warm and caring, and we have always been impressed with the clear communication across the board.

What stands out most is the way Esprit nurtures not only academic excellence, but also social-emotional growth and independence. The teachers are incredibly skilled and attentive. When we speak with them, we get thoughtful, individualized feedback for each child. They really care about each and every student. They also nurture community in the classrooms and amongst the whole school. The curriculum has been impressive — it seems like a great mix of academic rigor and following inquiry. Our children come home full of curiosity, asking thoughtful questions and loving school.

We also appreciate the school’s transparent communication and the sense of partnership with parents. The leadership team is approachable and deeply committed to each child’s growth.

If you're looking for a school that will genuinely see your child, challenge them academically, and support their development as a compassionate, capable human being... Esprit is a gem. Don't let a couple of negative reviews scare you off. This school has been open for over 25 years and all the other parents I've spoken to are happy.

Esprit International School has been a major disappointment. The administration is unprofessional, inexperienced, and unqualified to lead a school. There are serious concerns about regulatory compliance, and transparency is nonexistent. Most recently, the school was sold to a company based in Mexico without informing families or staff—an alarming lack of communication and integrity. Leadership decisions are made behind closed doors, and the values of honesty and accountability are clearly missing. Based on my experience, I strongly advise families to look elsewhere for a trustworthy and high-quality educational environment. Proceed with caution.

I’m an alum and I’m really happy for my time at Esprit and grateful to have gone there for high school. I was academically challenged and that translated into doing well at my university. The teachers were all great people— very fair and really want everyone to succeed. They’ll work with you but they will hold people to a standard which can be hard if you’re coming from a traditional school and you aren’t used to the higher expectations. We did yearly trips where we could go abroad and internships to get experience with different jobs. When I mention things about Esprit to my friends in college they all say they wish they had gone somewhere similar. It’s a small school which may not be right for everyone but I loved it.

This school was very disappointing overall. The tour was very different from the reality. Many of the classes and policies that were advertised were not present after enrollment. The website has not been updated in YEARS. Staff are listed that don't even work here. They treat seniors pretty horribly. We were expected to perform at maximum capacity with virtually no encouragement, being told that we needed to "stay motivated" when we voiced concerns. The head of school and counselor always talk about how you should voice your concerns to them and that they will always hear you and try to help, but they do not. They also don't check their emails so you have to call them repeatedly to get anything done. Even then, results are surface-level fixes. Many high school students seem to face consequences of favoritism and ignorance, being suspended for things they did not do even with evidence and being basically shunned by the head of school. Students are also not allowed to use the school parking lot for some reason. That just sucks. We had to park in the back and walk all the way around the school to the main entrance. They also took away late arrival and off-campus lunch for seniors with zero explanation as to why and a refusal to reconsider.
Bottom line, they will bait and switch you every week here and the admins will not listen to you. Don't come here.

Let me start with the conclusion, if you are looking into this school, please look elsewhere. This school is burdened by a huge load of debt and has been going downhill since. The good teachers that they once had are gone and replaced by cheaper, inexperienced teachers. They don't create an environment of psychological safety, but rather one of favoritism. Teachers' children are consequently treated differently than other children. The school was once backed by some large corporations, but due to the situation these have all directed their expatriates elsewhere. The head of school and the school counselor are known for lying and bending the truth to fit their actions. The curriculum is a joke, the math teacher is incapable of teaching, handling children in adolescence, and most importantly struggles with math herself. School leadership has created a highly toxic environment and the school experiences high attrition in students as a consequence. After school programs are virtually non existent.

Our 3-year old daughter attended Esprit from Aug 2018 until we decided to withdraw her in Feb 2019. After visiting with the teachers about our concerns throughout the school year, our daughter was still not receiving the attention that as a 3-year old she needed, and never wanted to go to school in the mornings (she did not like going there). We realized that she was too small to be paired with the 5 year olds in her class, and she also repeatedly came home with poop smeared in her pants (because nobody would help her clean herself in the bathroom, despite our repeated requests). When we requested to begin the process of withdrawing her from Esprit, we were surprised to receive a phone call from the Owner/Headmaster who did not ask us any questions or offer any words about our daughter or our reasons for wanting to withdraw her from the school, but rather only wanting to discuss the billing/refund that would be owed to us. We subsequently enrolled our daughter in a different school where she was in a classroom only with 3-4 year-olds. In the new school she is happy to go every day, and seems to receive the personal attention that she still needs as such a little one.

This is such a great school! The head of the school Rosemary is a very nice and loving person as well as the teachers. My three kids were very happy when they were there. It is a shame we had to move. Love it!!! The best school

Excellent school. Great teachers, challenging curriculum, warm atmosphere. We didn't have any experience with the Montessori method, but after 2 years we can honestly say, we love it. And more important our son loves it!
