So overall very great school. Their field trips are always chaotic and not well organized. I have ran into a few bad teachers that like to call the kids names which i addressed with the principal. but overall a pretty good school and my kids have never had any real problems

Ferguson Elementary is a fantastic school. I have a child in Pre-K and another in kindergarten. They both love attending school and have all these stories about their teachers and learning experiences when they get home. This tells me that they are getting the attention they need and that the school is a great environment for them. The principal Mr Smith is engaging to the students and gives audience to the parents coupled with members of staff that truly care for the children. Ashli and Sabra at the front are always eager to help and always attend to the needs of the parents and students. I have had a great experience with the school overall. Go Sailors!

My kid loves this place. Too bad we had her enrollment rescinded a week before the school year because we had to move for circumstances not under our control. Accepted her and then rescinded, no remorse or emotion at all. Thanks for nothing, do not come here, they put on a smiling face but could really care less. @TONY

As one of the Watch DOGS (Dads of Great Students) I have the opportunity to work with Feguson Elementary frequently. I am so impressed with the dedication, support, creativity, learning, etc. all members of the staff bring to work every day. Their main focus is providing the best education in a very safe environment. Such great/compassionate teachers who always put the children first helping them become young leaders. So glad/proud that my grandchildren attend Ferguson Elementary.

Never had much and if we did it was reading which we already do at home.

I dont think its their fault that the school is overcrowded and chaotic. 27 kids in my daughters kinder class, 5 classes in a small pod. This school is overcrowded!

Its too chaotic to deal with any issues!
Posted: October 19, 2020
New principal not sure how it is now. Would imagine overcrowded issues has bit been resolved. In Great schools it says 16:1 teacher ratio thats totally wrong!
Posted: October 19, 2020
Entire district teachers to low learners. Material was not suited for age level. Material was too easy and basic.

Kinder child had to tell me she was bullied by an older child, school knew and said nothing.

Horrible! Moved daughter to private school. She will not be returning to CCISD ever unless I have no choice financially!

Kids are given adequate homework for their level. At about 3rd grade, children are expected to be more independent and responsible for their daily assignments.
Posted: September 2, 2018
Oh My, these are the best teachers anywhere.
Posted: September 2, 2018
The leadership is engaged, accessible, and love the children.
Posted: September 2, 2018
We are able to get the support we need with our exceptional child.
Posted: September 2, 2018
This is a bit tough, as there are so many degrees of bullying, but the school does a great job about prevention which is one of the keys to resolution.

We've had 2 children go and 1 is still in the school. Coming from private schools, we had high expectations and Ferguson has exceeded them. This seems like a private school with a public price. Thanks to all the teachers and administrators for the great work that you do on a daily basis.

The school is overcrowded, so it's hard to develop these traits when the student to teacher ratio is 24:1.

The Kindergarten teachers were good, but the school is overcrowded (24 kids per class). There are numerous sanitation issues. Head lice is a huge problem, and the Kindergarten students share headphones (bad idea). We moved our child to a smaller private school, and the difference in curriculum and advanced education is astonishing.

I have two children currently enrolled at Ferguson and another who will start next year and I would struggle to come up with any suggested improvements. The parent/teacher communication is superb; teachers all have websites that are updated weekly and never take longer than a day to respond to an email. Parent involvement is huge; they love volunteers and do a background check on all. Parents/Grandparents can eat lunch with their kiddos, younger siblings can attend events such as field day, the carnival, fun run, etc. The car drop off/pick up lanes run smoothly with both Principals greeting kids hello in the mornings and helping direct afterschool.

My son is a Kindergartner at Ferguson this year, and I've been so incredibly pleased. His teacher, nurse and AP are in constant communication with me as we all have been closely monitoring my sons progress this year. Their words are never anything short of sincere, genuine and kind. The school events are interactive, educational and FUN! I couldn't ask for a better school for my kindergartner.

Our grandchild will be going to Ferguson. We are new to the district. The registration and Open House went really well with very helpful people. The office personnel were outstanding!

This is wonderful school. I have enjoyed being a volunteer in the PTA and my daughter has loved her teachers. Mrs Ambeau, the principal is very personable, kind, and attentive. Her door is always open and she works to learn all of the kids names. The library and literacy library are amazing. The PTA works very hard to get the best for our kids. I have never seen a school carnival make so much money for the school or run so efficiently!

I completely disagree with the last comment. I have never had any problems with either principal. The past and current principals, may have different personalities, but they both have and are doing an outstanding job in leading the school (students, parents, teachers, and faculty) to excellence. I strongly believe there are many parents who need to take responsibility for their own and their children's attitudes and behavior and stop blaming others. My children are always excited about going to school and never want to be absent. I never remember being that eager to go to school when I was their age ... That alone tells me how wonderful Ferguson is:-)!!! Yours in Good Faith ... a parent with 5 blessings who are current or future Ferguson Sailors :-)

Extremely disappointed in Ferguson.Principal is all about power ans she is extremely rude. Well being of the child is her last priority.

Ferguson Elementary is outstanding! From the individual caring teachers, the facilities as well as the leadership ~ I could not ask for anything more for my child. My son can't wait to get to class each day! I am proud to be associated with such an amazing school in the League City Area!!
