Worst school for children. My daughter went there from kindergarten through 3rd grade I transferred her to another school after she was assaulted on the first day of third grade and nothing was done about it she was kicked so hard by another student in the classroom mind you that I had to take her to the drs. When I asked what was going to be done I was told nothing because they dont punish bullying but they offered to move my daughter so instead of punishing the individual who hurt my daughter the school was going to punish my daughter. If you love your children please do not enroll them into this school,

Considering I would homeschool my children before ever allowing them to return shows how I feel. This school cares far more about looking good then doing what's best for the students. They will lie to save themselves, refuse to follow BIPs/504s/IEPs, ignore a parents concerns for years, and the list goes on. WLE used to be known as the best, but that is of the past as they are far from it. Not even their teachers stick around.

They have a homework lube for kids that need more one on one help.

Every teacher I have had experienced with have been amazing to my children.

I agree with this, the kids have shown all sorts of compassion and respect for their friends.

The principal strives to make the school better every year. This year they have added assistant principals to help.

I, personally, don't have experience with this, but I've heard nothing but good things from friends that do.

My daughter was being bullied in KINDERGARTEN, but her teacher handled it well.

I have nothing but anything good to say about this school. I love the comradery between teachers and parents. The kids love their teachers.

They could start with leadership in the school parking lot. There is absolutely NO structure. Parents park where ever now and there's no one checking them. The Parent pick up lane used to be organized but this year it's a joke. Be prepared to Stand Your Ground when going through the parent pick up or drop off lanes b/c the parents are the rudest I've ever seen extending no courtesy at all!

Like pulling teeth just to get this school to test my child for a learning disability even after my child failed the Star test. I had to go through private insurance to have my child evaluated by a Psychologist just for any action to be taken but still fighting for a learning disability test. They keep saying they have to go through a process but it's just them dragging their feet to pay for a test that would point out the obvious.

My child was effectively LOST and no one call the police but they called me. Instead of calling the police they had teachers driving around in their own cars to look for my child as well as myself. My child was found 7 blocks away Thank God and after all that the Principal actually tried to lecture my son for walking home when he was put in the walking home line. She apparently didn't realize he was on his meds and even though I signed an After School slip no one was watching him which was very disappointing because I always dot my i's and cross my t's but I can't be at the school doing the staff's job too. So no more after school stuff for my kids at this school unless I'm there because they lost my trust. It's not worth losing my child of their negligence.

As a student going here was very great I had my brother and sister there with me we were all one grade levels apart. The teachers were very involved with my parents giving the fact that everyone there knew my brother and sister. My favorite teacher of all was Mrs.Doss and my favorite of all staff was Mr.Cameron the former Head Principal.

If you have a child with special needs or behavior issues then rule this place out. Your child will be bullied and belittled by everyone there. They only want perfect children there. The ones that need special attention will be targeted and bullied by not only other students but by the teachers as well. All you get is excuses and blame from them.

My son has been going to this school for 3 years. He started their Pre-k program at 3 years old and was accelerated from Kindergarten into the 1st grade this year. The teachers are very invested in the success of their students. It's very easy to stay involved as a parent. The principal and vice principals also work very closely with the parents and teachers to ensure success. I really can't say enough good things about this school and will miss it terribly when the military moves us away.

The principal and staff are wonderful. Can't say enough about the small community feel that you have here. Very caring environment.

This school is horrible at working with children who need a little extra. If you have a child who is ADHD, a genius, or anything else other than a cookie cutter kid, this school is NOT for you. The teachers and administration have no respect for the kids. They talk to them like they are idiots and expect the students to behave like adults. I am thoroughly disgusted with this school. There is SO much to say about this aweful school, PLEASE email me with any question. If you have a wonderful child who doesn't have any issues, than this school may work well for you. However, if your child's attitude changes due to deployed parent or whatever the case, be prepared for a long, long battle.
