My son has been attending this school since 6th grade. He has the best teachers who tries work with children. It feels safe and feel of belonging. The best part I like about the school is their after school clubs which my son enjoys the most.

As a parent, I couldnt be happier with Harmony Science Academy Pflugerville. This school continues to impress me with the dedication and hard work of its teachers and staff, who truly care about every students success. The administrative team is supportive, professional, and always approachable, creating a positive partnership with families.
Academically, HSA-Pflugerville offers a wide range of Programs of Study, including AP courses, OnRamps college-level classes, Industry-Based Certifications (IBCs), dual credit courses, and an Early College High School program where students can even earn an associate degree while in high school. The schools STEM focus is outstandingstudents participate in robotics, electric car, and drone clubs, along with many exciting field trips, competitions, and project-based learning experiences.
Beyond academics, the school provides an excellent variety of sports programs, including volleyball, soccer, basketball, flag football, and more. These programs not only encourage fitness and teamwork but also lead to strong athletic performance and recognition in district competitions.

It is my son's second year at this school and he loves it. He is doing great academically and gets support from his teachers. He is in Honors class and he told me students are able to move from regular classes to Honors based on academic performance. Students get support from their teachers and are able to improve on their performance, thereby moving up.

Harmony Pflugerville is one of the few "A" rated schools in the area. Rules are more strict than regular public schools but I also think as a result, it's a lot safer. I also like that it's the oldest charter school system in Texas, it has character education built into the curriculum, and literally hundreds of clubs and sports to choose from. Most importantly, it's small so I have good relationships with the teachers and get a hold of them easily if I have any questions.

This school has horrible communication with parents. Front desk staff is rude and lack professionalism. The answer to most questions from front desk staff is in the school website. The school website has no useful information. Try finding contact information for the person in charge of behavior problems or the person in charge of attendance! Good luck with that! Call the front desk they will re direct you to the school website which has non of that information. My child was chocked at this school ! Did they send me an email or even a phone call to let me know? Of course not! Choking someone is considered a Felony in TEXAS! Kids being bullied is not taken seriously.

Harmony is a relatively safe and calm haven compared to other schools in the area, but it also lacks essentials due to underfunding. The sports and athletics department is very limited, while the social studies and science departments flourish. The teachers are all young, relatable, and personal with the students, however Harmony is known to have poor organizational problems and frequent delays, miscommunications and more. While Harmony is overall avid in educating students, it also has overly severe punishments which is counterintuitive to its goals, such as in school suspensions for dress code violations. Overall, Harmony is a good alternative option, however it does come with many negatives that you and your student will often deal with, including previous complaints of heavy and noticible favoritism.

This school has many flaws that I do not have enough room. I am a hispanic student but i can tell you that the teachers favor hispanics over anyone else, the librarian is a joke all he does is hang out with the hispanic students. Some of the teachers do not know how to control a classroom and one in particular did not even understand her own subject. There are some amazing teachers here but many of them can be bullys to students as well, the same teacher i mentioned earlier laughed at a student every time they asked a question over a problem. This school has potential but it is filled with teachers who are about as mature as some of the students, and class favorites who get all the breaks. Even so there are some teachers who have taught us well how to function in society and school, and most students are freindly and do not bully, still a bad envirement for your child if you want them to attend and be productive.

Ok so I go to Harmony and for the people who say it is racist. Well they are wrong. They don't just pick on one type of kid. And yeah the AP kids can be kind of arrogant me included but we have a lot on our plates. It is excellent college prep because of the amounts of wok given help you learn how to manage your time. Most if not all the Core teachers are american. Born and raised. And the Turkish Teachers we do have are smart and have been teaching for years. This school is one of me favorites and will always be. Ive seen kids lie to there parents and get good people in trouble. So don't listen to your kids or their friends when they get in trouble because teens lie. Your child might hate the school but the school is preparing them for the future.

Harmony Science Academy(North Austin) is a decent school I must admit, but it is full of very very major problems. The discipline system does not work, the punishments for DPS(Discipline Point System, in which students get points for being bad, so many points gets students a punishment) does not work, no one cares about it and the teachers barley use it to begin with. Then there comes their complete lack of knowledge regarding technology; they have again and again blocked websites that can be useful to students, namely Youtube.com and Netflix.com, going so far as to block the teachers access to these websites at the same time. Now I do understand that students will play and mess around on these websites at school, but take note they have not blocked a single gaming website, they simply blocked ones that they know of. Harmony may be good in grades, but that is due simply to the fact there are very few but very dedicated teachers who push students to do well, while others are at very best lack luster. Then there is the principle, who changes every year and never seems to leave his office to see the students. The school is decent, but needs a lot of work. -Written by a student-5 years

I have been going to harmony for 3 years now and I have mixed reviews for it. There is a general lack of funding and provision of Electives. There are some great teachers though but there are also some very bad ones. Some of the teachers at these schools in general lack the understanding of the English language to varying degrees the worse of which makes it very hard to understand what they are saying. Discipline is very strict with some teachers and most administrators. I have had the personal experience of being singled out for discipline on many occasions to the point where the teacher found a handful of students that he or she would generally discipline through DPS and being removed from class. This typically happens with the Turkish teachers who have haphazard to irrational discipline tendencies. Combined with there poor English this turns into quite a problem and is the source of most of my discontent. Some of these teachers are great but some of them are very bad, to the point of being unable teach.

Overall i don't think this school is so exemplary as they say. I bet theres public schools that are better. Infact, my child goes to Pflugerville High School and he is getting all a's. At hsana yea we teach our kids a lot but what we need is more of the extra curricular activites like of public schools so that it will help them enroll for college. That is what i believe.

This is an awesome school! Sure the uniform can get kind of annoying but who cares! The teachers care a lot, and Mr. Caglar is a wonderful principal. The school just got renovated and is beautiful!! So far, I would say this is the best harmony in Austin...
