We are so glad to have found Vanguard for our children and highly recommend it to everyone looking for a great educational experience for your family. We would have enrolled sooner if we had know of Vanguard's existence earlier. We have the second generation there now. My daughter attended now her children are there and we couldn't be more pleased.

My son attended preK and transitional Kindergarten at Vanguard prior to beginning public school, and we are so thankful for his time there. The entire staff is so very kind; our son was TRULY loved there. We knew he was in great hands everyday that he was there. I would highly recommend Vanguard to anyone looking for an excellent preparation for public school, or, Vanguard is an excellent educational option if your child is not thriving in the larger, public school environment.

We love Vanguard! The teachers truly model Christ at this school. My kids have been attending Vanguard for several years now. Two of the graduating seniors this year (2016) received full tuition scholarships to their universities of choice. Also, Vanguard has a truly world class robotics program which consistently sends teams to the World Championships.

Our child has attended Vanguard for two years. Pulling her out of public school and placing her in such a positive environment, surrounded by great kids with a faculty who cares about her as an individual and a culture focused on building character, self confidence, benovelence, teamwork, and community proves to us everyday we made the right decision for our child. No bullying, no cliques, many classes and extra curricular activities to participate in. We highly recommend this school.

I attended Vanguard for 6 years. Through jr. High I was confident in the education being provided but as I got into high school my parents & I began to realize how poor the education provided to high school students was. After my first year in high school we looked into transferring to another high school in order to receive a better education but then came to the realization that our credits wouldn't transfer to any other schools in the area. Basically unless I wanted to repeat a grade (as well as make my older sibling repeat 2 grades) we were stuck at vanguard. Only 1 of my teachers in high school attended any college, which he was doing even while I was his student. By the time I got to my senior year I was taking only college classes through the San Antonio community colleges & received no real education from Vanguard and its teachers for most of high school. In addition to the minimal educational drive in most students at vanguard there was little drive for any teachers to give a real education to the students. The teachers are all related (Principal & wife parents to teachers, siblings to other teachers etc.) & live on the same property as the school is located as well.

We love Vanguard! Our children have attended for years, and we would not have them anywhere else! We have a child in elementary and one in high school. Our kids actually love going to school. The students in elementary and in high school are some of the best kids. I can honestly say that I have never seen a group of high school and junior high kids that are closer friends and have created a positive atmosphere in the school. The campus has a relaxed, family-oriented feeling. I believe this is all due to the amazing staff; most have been teaching for decades and are degreed. They are experienced and are great with kids. They know the students very well and their families and are involved in their lives. Our kids have excelled in academics in the Vanguard program and actually enjoy learning. Our high schooler is part of the award winning robotics team and plays basketball. One of the things that we love the most about Vanguard is their attention to character. The staff incorporates character training into all of the daily activities. My husband and I recommend this school to everyone we meet with kids. The tuition is actually affordable and the academics and programs are wonderful!

My child was in high school at Vanguard this past year & did pretty much nothing in academics. I pulled him out to put him in a better school to get a real education & not one school accepted the transcripts from Vanguard because it's isn't accredited. My son has to repeat the one year he was there as a sophomore. Vanguard is a joke in academics! They have shorted the student's education and in this competitive world you can't do that! This is not fair to the student that are trying to make something of themselves. Teachers are nice, student not so much. Teacher's ignore problems between the students, even bulling. It was more w/ a few of the freshman girl's that cause problems. Also, not 1 of the teachers is certified & only 1 teacher actually has a college degree.. Another thing, all the teacher's are all related to each other, cultish like. Yes they are nice, but nice doesn't help kids succeed in this world, especially college. It is affordable, but the education is really poor, especially if your kid wants to go to college. I don't recommend this school for college bound kids. Bottom line you get what you pay for, in Vanguard's case, cheap tuition but very poor education.

This school is absolutely amazing. The teachers and staff are great and so is the price for the level of education the children receive who attend classes here.
