Office staff is horrible they are rude and dismissive and act as if they hate their job!! It’s a major turn off no matter how good the school may or may not be! First experience with the school is always front office so you would think they would have better staff/ safety could be better and the kids are worried about fights and drugs more than school seems like!

I would not recommend William J Brennan High School based on my experience as a parent.
My daughter has an IEP, and I do not feel the school provided the communication, meetings, or support that should be expected for a student with documented educational needs. As a parent, I should not have to repeatedly seek answers or feel ignored when it comes to my child’s education and safety.
I also have serious concerns about the overall school environment and student safety. There have been ongoing concerns involving drugs and safety issues, and I do not feel families are being properly informed or reassured. Parents deserve transparency when there are serious concerns that may affect their children.
In addition, my interactions with the front office staff have been very disappointing. I felt dismissed, disrespected, and not treated like a partner in my child’s education. It often felt like the school was more concerned with appearances than addressing real concerns from parents and students.
I strongly encourage other parents to ask detailed questions before sending their child here, especially about IEP support, safety procedures, drug-related concerns, parent communication, and how the school responds when families raise concerns.
Student safety, respect for families, and proper support for students with IEPs should be a priority every day. There have been drug-related safety concerns, including an incident involving a student medical emergency/overdose in a bathroom. What concerned me even more was the lack of transparency and communication with families afterward. Parents deserve honesty and timely information when serious incidents happen on campus. NO GO SERIOUSLY.

The complexities of the brennan high school system completely confuse me. It appears to have the most flawed structure I’ve ever seen. I think the school exhibits a significant amount of bias, whether it's influenced by ethnicity or personal choices. There was a worrying incident with my child where another student went through his bag, took his ID from his wallet, and then acted as if they had found it on the ground. Nevertheless, the school's security officer responded with indifference, suggesting we ignore it since only the ID was missing, not a credit card. The way the school deals with these situations is frustrating, and one would expect more diligent supervision in the classrooms to prevent bullying, theft, or other harmful situations. Sadly, most teachers there seem confused. The grading system is disorganized, with students receiving unfairly low grades due to teachers inconsistently entering accurate information. It is essential for teachers to be attentive during class. The educational system is discouraging, bombarding us with repetitive and unhelpful messages. The school appears to lack a focus on nurturing and preparing students for the future; it feels more like a raucous unsupervised gathering where children get lost in the shuffle.

Wonderful school! My son loves Brennan and all of his teachers. Great Communication! He says it has been the best experience of his life. He is graduating this year and it has been amazing for him.

Students are allowed turn in homework at anytime and receive credit. So there's no motivation to meet any homework due dates.

Three of my children have attended this school. Thank God they had a solid foundation before we moved here. They complained daily about the environment and were truly happy when they graduated. We've moved out of Brennan's zone and my son's last 2 yes of HS has been saved. He's so much happier at his new school with the structure and accountability that the administration shows.

Assistant Principal Francis is the worst administors I've ever come accrossed. Daughter bullied by him. Accusations made by him that even the principal said were false. This man needs not to be around kids period.

I was fine with it even though I don’t feel very prepared for college. However when I look forward to my senior exemptions and go to class all year and then when I try to look toward the future they punished me for it. That’s what makes me mad. High school is supposed to prepare you for the future yet the Academic Dean punishes you for it

I am a student attending this school and am currently in my junior year with ap classes and all and i would like to say that if you really want your child to go to college than this school is for you. They have a great community and a safe eviroment. Not to mention the great teachers they have that work with the students in every way and are very very helpful. The only two downsides to this school are ,one, the lunches are pretty dang expensive and ,two, the people in the attendance office, have some serious attitude issues. They really , really need to hire some nice people to take care of students attendance. Remember, they can put in whatever they want as your attendance and they can get you to court(it is illegal but still) al in all this school is one of the best schools i have ever attended

We are very happy for our son to attend this school. All of the educators, counselors, and staff are committed to the students' success. The environment is positive, encouraging, and safe. There are activities and clubs for a wide range of interests, and they highly encourage academic excellence.

I've never seen my child happier. The school has such a variety of students that it has been easy to find friends as we are new to the area. Also, the school's overall attitude towards college preparedness is great. The opportunity for AP and pre-AP classes are numerous and all the teachers we have encountered have been excellent.

My daughter and I love the school. She started at Brennan as a freshman when they first opened their doors and now she will be graduating this year 2014!!! She is interested in med school when she moves on to college and at Brennan they have helped her tremendously understanding the medical field and even experience rotations in the hospital atmosphere. The staff at Brennan are very helpful and firm about following rules. This is a great High school to attend

Both of my children had wonderful public school experiences across several states because we are a military family. We were blessed to come to Brennan when it opened its doors in 2010, graduated one in their first graduating class in 2012, and now graduating a first four-year-Bear in 2014 Brennan High School has been an incredibly positive experience for my children. My son came in looking for academic rigor to prepare him for engineering and he found, not only the classes he needed, but also teachers who cared about him and encouraged him personally along his way. They ask about him still and want to know what he is up to in the wide world. My daughter came to Brennan shy and a bit unnerved about high school in a new town. In these 4 years she has grown and matured and found her career path and passion. Her teachers and administrators have taken personal interest in her and her choices and are encouraging her to take on great things when she leaves. As a brand new school in 2010, Brennan has outstanding facilities and I think the entire school body is doing a good job of taking care of things. Our family's experience at Brennan has been top notch! Highly, highly recommend.

My child was new to Brennan this year. The students and teachers have been very friendly and wonderful. she loves going to school here and is exceeding in her classes. The only reason I didn't vote a 5 is because of the attendance office. I have been in on 3 different occasions this year and have received the same treatment. I believe the ladies in there could use an attitude adjustment, communication skills, and etiquette couldn't help either. Thanks so much for being a wonderful school for my child to come to

if I could give it less stars I WOULD! The administration at this school is beyond ridiculous. Youve got people in principal and vice principal that are horrible when it comes to communication. You try to talk to them and they just talk at you. The attendance system is ridiculous and you have to stay on top of your "parent portal" because they eill mark your child absent and then your child has to argue with the teacher to have it removed. If they get three they send you a "warning" notice making you have to scrable to get the absences that are false corrected or youll end up in court. They had to fire the attendance clerk last year because she was not entering the notes and several kids ended up in court for absences that were fraudulent! Talk about a WASTE OF TAX PAYER MONEY..... the teachers use swear words and try and be "cool" with the kids. I personally cant wait to move just to get away from this school!

Great school, in a great school district. My son went there before we got another military assignment, and he loved it. The staff and teachers were fabulous, really care about the kids and went the extra mile. They really push AP classes and set the kids up to be college ready.If we didn't have to leave I would have been proud to have had 2 Brennan grads.

The kids love the school, because of the teachers!! the teachers are amazing.... the attendance staff have power trip issues!! SERIOUS power trip issues!! The sweet woman that sits at the back desk is the on ya wanna deal with if you go in. shes nice, the hispanic one.... watch out!! watch yiur back with her!! getting enrolled is a pain!! on paper it seems like angiod process but be prepared to spend the day there cause NO INE truly knows what they're doin!! Even a teacher told me she had a heck of a time getting her child enrolled and she works there! The students there are ok, there have been several fights since my kids have started. Kids in the hallways push and shove their way through the crowds and my daughter was shoved on the stairway. Vice principal T ..... Wow!! Talk about a power tripper!! He should NOT be working with kids!! With his mentality he should be working at a continuation school or in a prison. No communication skills AT ALL! He is rude and Harsh! He told my son to be at the school at a particular time frame (8-8:15)to get his parking pass, he was there.... low and behold VP T and his staff DID NOT SHOW UP TIL 8:20!!! The blonde in the first office..RUDE!

As a parent of a student I would like to express my overall positive experience with the administration less the vice principal. This vice principal has much to be desired in the way of communication and is abrasive to say the least. One would think the school district would hire people with communication skills.
