This school is highly vindictive and will stop at nothing to protect themselves against parents that may be concerned about the smallest things about their children. This school will lie and continue pushing that lie without your knowledge and turn their issues on you! The assistant principal is NOT to be trusted. She is two faced! Dont trust her with anything. You can tell she loves drama.
My sons teacher is amazing. Hes shown lots of his learning to me.

Leadership is not effective in standing up for children who are socially outcasted and bullied on numerous occasions.

My child was bullied constantly, to the point where she needed medical help and counseling. The staff did not stand up for her during the times she was bullied, socially bullied, or called names. The staff appear to be highly bias towards certain children who share similarities to themselves.

Very poor. My child endured bullying. The school punished her and left the parents feeling helpless and our child defenseless throughout the entire situation.

Teachers do not regulate bullying, social bullying, or name callind during or after school. My child was not heard when she complained of bullying.
Posted: May 15, 2018
The children do not have compassion for others or respect others differences. Staff does not care to instill character into the children.

Rather throw my child in DAEP then try to work out other solutions. It is only the 5th week of school! 504 plan means absolutely nothing to this school! Read teacher review to understand a little more about what happened.

Haynes Elementary is the place that you want your students to attend in KISD. Every teacher on that campus puts students first and have the philosophy that "ALL" students are capable of learning. Mrs. Donovan is an amazing principal and being a parent of a student that has been at Haynes for the past 5 years, she has really turned the school around for the good. A new teacher this year, Mr. Murphy really has students excited about learning and has had a profound effect on my child. My kid hated school last year and it is because of the love that Mr. Murphy has shared for my child and their education, he now loves school and wishes every teacher can be like Mr. Murphy.

Amazing teachers! Great administration staff! Only downfall to the school is lack of parking, but it is within walking distance of my home.

I absolutely love Haynes! My son finished part of kindergarten here and all of first grade. They always have tons of after school events and things going on for kids. There is also a really amazing level of involvement from parents and teachers that really keep the school constantly growing and evolving. Great fundraisers always going on and it shows in the schools equipment!

The staff are very welcoming, helpful and genuinely caring. Mr. Diab loves and is loved by the children.

My son has been going to Pre-K here for about two months. At times I go eat lunch with him and observe how one of the teachers talk so mean to the kids. Luckily she is not the helper for my son's class. This schools seems to be okay at times but just don't come in as the clock hits 3:16 to check your child out or you won't get a bye or have a nice weekend like everyone who leaves out before you. I'd give them a 4.5 but I can't My son was home schooled until last year which was his 4th grade year and this school's first year being open. He had an AWESOME 4th grade teacher. She was firm when needed and loving when needed. Daddy was deployed and his teacher was sensitive to that and the changes he went through. My only issue is this year and last year information was put out at the last minute often. All schools have websites and an automative system. I feel that they could had used them a little more effectively. Sending notes home with children well need I elaborate? I tried to do my part by asking and searching, but when it gets lost, left on the bus and etc Some of the office staff did not always seem knowledgable, some of the lunch staff did not seem tactful. Parent involvement is welcomed which I APPRECIATED!
