The administration shows little concern for student well-being or mental health, often hiding behind policy rather than considering its impact. Based on this, I would advise against enrolling your student in this school (Alamo Campus) or the district.

Worse experience we have ever had was at SST located near Wurzbach and David Edwards in San Antonio. This school left my son with emotional distress. Instead of attempting to help my child in special needs they released him from attending without prior notice. The principal was sexist, dismissive and disrespectful and would not have a discussion. The TEA was contacted and conducted an investigation and found them not in compliance on more than one account. This school is NOT for children with specific needs. Their numbers stay up due to not accepting children who need more guidance and assistance. This school is not military friendly or all inclusive.

We have been with SST for two years and we love the school. The staff and teachers care a lot about the kids. They do a lot to engage the parents and keep everyone involved. We would recommend anyone to go to this school. Coming from public school has been a great expereince for us. The only recommendation would be to have smaller class sizes. They have a lot kiddos per one teacher. Overall great school!

SST - Alamo is a really Great School, teachers care their students and school is growing academically every passing year. They have a new gym, classes, and a big playground.

As a parent- we all understand that when your child is happy we are happy. Well for me that is the case. This is my daughter's first year at a charter school and I was skeptical, but SST-ALAMO has completely changed my mind. My daughter is excelling academically and it is because of the personal attention she receives. Friendliest front office ladies!

SST became a second home to our daughter after our extensive search for a school that was befitting to her academic needs, and constant quest for a more challenging curriculum – the traditional setting of the school she was previously attending no longer posed a challenge, and her options of extracurricular activities were unappealing to her. Immediately after becoming a part of SST we noticed a difference that I have yet to see at any other campus. The extensive array of events, competitions, and sport activities that she has been able to form part of have permanently changed her outlook on what a student should seek in their educational journey. She’s always been a bit of a challenge-seeker, but being a part of the SST family has enabled her to embark on a rollercoaster of research, investigations, competitions, contest, and so much more that we are certain would not have been available elsewhere; ranging from forming part of Math Counts, CRLP, the Volleyball and Soccer team – to being the Captain of Mathletics, taking home a 2nd place in the State Math Competition, State Science Fair, being appointed the President of Student Council, participating in talent shows, Chess Club, Spanish Spelling Bee, Science Olympiad, STEM Camps and so much more. The entire SST campus has become so much more than just a school, because they take the time to pay attention to each students’ individual capacities, abilities, and potential. From A to Z – this school brings to fruition each parents’ visions – A SCHOOL THAT IS FOR THEIR STUDENTS. Being a part of this school isn’t a day-to-day task, but rather a commitment that the students’ take on, and all because this is what they are around all day – caring people who are always working for the best interest of each students. From friendly reminders about upcoming events, to a heartfelt thank you when you attend an event – this school has it all. It would be a disservice to the community to not let everyone know that SST is an option for your student – even more so, I would encourage you to step on a campus and see for yourself. If you’re looking for a place where your student can broaden their perspective on what awaits past graduation, this is it – because students don’t come here to prepare for next year – they come here to prepare themselves for life.

We've been SST parents for two years and have been pleasantly surprised by the rigorous curriculum, attentive teachers, and passionate administration. I've never felt more confident that my children were getting the best educational experience available as part of the SST school system.

This school goes the extra mile to create individualized education plans for students that need them. Also, when the faculty and staff see a student is struggling, they take the time to explore what is going on and get answers so that the student can receive any eligible support.

The small, close-knit team of teachers, students, and parents works together toward one common school vision. Students are supported in their efforts to make progress and exceed expectations regardless of their academic abilities.

I love SST...they really care about kids. They try very hard to make all kids successful. They have both impressive scores and faculty. Mrs. Rivera always goes out of her way to help my child with special needs be successful.

As a six grade student our grandson has multiple teachers. I was most impressed when shortly into the school year his reading teacher left for FMLA. The substitute has been strong, and the teaching has continued smoothly. Excellent transition.

Our grandson has homework, and as a 6th grader he has learned to be pretty organized in getting things done in a timely matter. Good communication with teacher helps his mom keep him on target.

The SST-Alamo Campus is outstanding, and we feel fortunate our grandson is an SST student. We have high expectations, and both the administration and faculty have demonstrated expertise and dedication. The school is small, safe and welcoming. I highly recommend it -- and so does our grandson and his mom.

My son started attending this school last year. The teachers and the rest of the faculty are great. It amazes me how advanced they are and how he is learning things that are above his grade level. He really enjoys attending SST Alamo.

Love the school for my son. Smaller school so all the teachers know him and he is more comfortable there. Some very amazing teachers. It was a good choice for us.

I was hesitant at first of taking my children out of the great school where we live, but SST Alamo was more convenient for my commute to work. I am so thankful I made the choice. My kids absolutely love this school. They attend clubs and the after school program, and when I come to pick them up, EVERY DAY they beg me to stay even though it is after 5 p.m. In addition to after school clubs and care, there are field trips, tutoring, incentive days and more. My kids love the Accelerated Reader and Reasoning Minds programs. The students do not have silent lunch. My kids choose who they want to sit by at the tables for their classes, and they are allowed to talk freely until it is time to throw away trash and go to recess. Even if I wanted to send my children to another school next year, my kids would not allow it :-) No school, teacher, administration, parent, or student is perfect, and there will always be hiccups no matter where you go. But I rate a school based on the happiness and progress of my children.

My children love this school. Although my children have only been there a short amount of time I am very pleased with how they are progressing, very pleased we chose SST Alamo. The teachers are tremendously dedicated, smart, and kind, and the school is small.

The 2013-2014 school year was great. SST was its own little community everybody knew everyone. The parents and PTO went above and beyond for the school. This year a whole administration has taken over and EVERYTHING is more difficult. No PTO exists , the kids eat lunches in silence, and their gym program is lacking. My Children will not be attending next year.

My oldest son just finished up elementary school here and came out with far better study skills than his public school peers. My youngest son has gone to this school for 1st and 2nd grade and we could not be happier. No school is perfect, but this school is really great. The students get homework here! In addition to STARR, they use the NWEA test to gauge progress. There are awesome incentive programs for Accelerated Reader. The PTO is approachable and active. By far, this school is worth a tour and worth the time.

By far this school is one of the best! Thank you Mrs. Rogers for being just a great Vice principal and being involved in ALL the students school lives! I am looking forward for three more years at this school for my oldest daughter; and seven more years for my twins.

We first visited SST-Alamo because my son loves math and science. After completing the enrollment process my son was ecstatic to begin his 1st grade year! This year has been going great- everyone is super nice and works with the kids well, making sure they understand what they are learning so they can excel to their full potential. My son loves his new school and is looking forward to continuing his education at SST-Alamo! I also love that even as young as Kinder the kids can be involved in extra curricular activities/clubs, this was very important to me (that was a big upset in his public kinder school to me). I have recommend this school to all my friends. Oh, anther BIG factor I love is the school is super safe with great security features!!!

This is my children's first year at this school. I absolutely love the diversity of the teachers in this school. We came from a mostly all white public school. My fifth grader is excelling in every class she is in; and actually learning about the world around her. I am so happy that it not all about the STARS and teaching kids to bubble in the answers at this school. My two first graders couldn't be more happier at this school.Everyday they are ecstatic to go to school in the morning. Honestly, the thing I love the most about this school is the homework, they actually give these kids the right amount of homework for their age groups. SST-Alamo keep up the good work, I am very pleased in what I have seen so far. I got one more shout out for the Principal, I was at the school picking up my sick daughter when there was an accident where a parent could not pick up her child right away, the Principal took charge and cared for the child as if that child was his own and took him to the nearest E.R. I have NEVER seen this done before, I was blown away by this very caring Principal. This right here made me a fan of SST-Alamo for life.

My child is currently in his second year at this school and it's been a terrible experience. When he attended public school he was happier and I could tell he was improving intellectually. He has grown stagnant since attending this school. I'm currently searching for a different school for him to attend. I did not believe him when he told me that he had trouble understanding his teachers (many have Turkish accents) until I had a face to face meeting with the teacher. I felt so bad for my son! How could he learn math from a teacher who could barely put a sentence together? The office staff is very disorganized as well. The assistant principal will tell parents that the school is "too rigorous" for many students and that's why parents pull their kids out of school. The truth is that many parents pull their kids out of this school due to the accent issue in addition to the fact that there are not enough desks to accommodate the number of students in the classroom. I really could go on and on, but I will stop here.

My child is now in their second year attending this school. My child has had more A's than in five years in public school. However, when arrangements are made for 6th-8th graders to go on an out-of-town field trip to a Turkish fair, you'd think at least the students taking Turkish foreign language class would be first to have seats on the bus, rather than the students taking Spanish. I think it's very unfortunate that the number of students, teachers, and chaperones were not taken into account when reserving a bus. How are you going to call THE DAY BEFORE and tell the parent there's no room for about 20 students, not to mention that the school staff left it up to the parents of the negated students to inform them they are being left at the school while the other approximately 100 students and classmates are allowed to go? There are many more things that are not right with this school, such as the teachers losing assignments or not recording grades, erroneous charges to lunch accounts even when the student is absent, doctor's notes brought in and given to homeroom teachers never making it to the front office for accountability, etc.

My child was in a public school in the Judson school district and was not being challenged. I pulled her out and placed her in the school of science and technology. She is making straight A's and loving school. The teachers and staff are absolutely wonderful. I am so glad I learned about this school. Now I know she can reach her full potential.
