Good luck getting a hold of anyone. Been trying to get a hold of faculty for 4 months now and my calls and emails are ignored. Really wanted my child to join a STEM school but will be looking elsewhere.

Our experience at Harmony Science Academy Georgetown has been disappointing. We feel our child has not been treated with the same patience and fairness as other students, and this has affected her confidence and interest in learning.

We expect fair treatment, clear communication, and consistent academic support for every child. Unfortunately, our experience has fallen short of those expectations. I hope the school takes parent concerns seriously and ensures that no child feels singled out or discouraged in the classroom.

Posted: January 13, 2026

We have serious concerns about how this school handles discipline and academics. It strongly feels like our child is being singled out and unfairly targeted, with disproportionately heavy consequences compared to other students. This ongoing pattern has caused significant stress for our child and family.
Additionally, the school failed to provide two core high school subjects for approximately 2–3 months, which are essential and tested subjects. During this time, no proper communication was made to parents, and no timely or effective action was taken to address the issue. This lack of transparency and accountability is unacceptable, especially when it directly impacts students’ education and academic progress.
We expect fairness, open communication, and responsible leadership from a school. Unfortunately, our experience has fallen far short of those expectations.

The academics here are challenging, which keeps my son engaged and constantly learning. What we appreciate most are the strong, long-lasting friendships he's built with his peers. Harmony has truly been the best environment for his growth, both academically and socially.

My experience as a mother of 3 students has been great. Most of the teachers are informative and interactive with the students and communicate well with parents. My students ability to learn and receive educational support is available at all times. Administrators are approachable and understanding to most situations. The community and culture of the school is family oriented and caring and understanding. Every child has the ability to learn and be understood. Classroom teachers are teaching so that every child is prepared for the next level and some beyond. The classroom environment can always use extra support. However teachers are utilizing all resources possible for a positive learning environment for all students. This campus is very open and welcome to communicate to all parents the teachers and administrators are GREAT!!

Pros: why
This school is a good one. Nobody will be perfect but how they develop my younger daughter is amazing. My elder also goes to the same school but she was considered as an exception from her childhood in Lousiana as well but my younger is a normal kiddo. Due to my elder one experience, we decided not to send her to school until 4 so she could join Pre-K in harmony directly. Here progress in Math, writing, and reading is excellent. We just help her to do her homework on time since she likes to play all the time. We gave them raw students and when I look at her progress in two years, that is amazing. kudos to the principal and teacher.

This school is excellent and teacher responses are swift and good. On this side, I can give it Five stars.

Cons:
I think there are too many students in the school now. Since the school is charter, they provide limited buses and drop/pickup is hectic. `Kudos to the teacher and principal who manage traffic in the morning /evening in any weather condition.'

I recommend or suggest to the Harmony school board to have a new building or limit the students from this year. Make it a more advanced type of school where extra activities like swimming training, soccer, and martial arts can be taught after school where both student and school can benefit. Schools can earn more money as well as students more skills.

As a parent of a student in middle school, I was shocked to learn from my student (not from the school) that another middle school student had been doing online bullying. My student was told online and then many times in person to kill himself by another student. The class took screenshots of the bully's message on discord and the student was asked to stay home a few days. But no one let me know, as a parent, that this was happening. My student was showing signs of depression. We engaged a therapist and that is how this came to light. My student had no support, and as a family we had no support, to go through this from the admin. I am angry and disappointed. I do not think that the admin of this school wants to engage families outside of the endless fundraisers, or to help kids deal with bullies. The school proudly and hypocritially displays signs saying No Place for Hate to show no bullying, but they just sweep it under the rug. Shame.

Harmony school of Endeavor is the worst school you could send a student to. They have horrible policies, lazy staff, will straight up tell you they can not accommodate neurodivergent children without putting them in special education,
which I believe is against the law, and suspend elementary age children without the courtesy of calling the parent because "they dont have time". Please don't send your children there unless they can basically teach themselves what they need to know because of how they over fill classes and overwhelm their teachers. Current 3rd grade ratio is 28-1 and some of the specials teachers don't even know each kids name after a full year of teaching as well as not even teaching their subject instead they watch YouTube videos or movies every class. They also don't have a real registered nurse on campus they have a "health aid".

We are very happy with the Middle School at Harmony School of Endeavor- Austin, TX. The 7th grade only has about 70 students, so the classes are small , and the students are very friendly & social. There is free extra help after school, and my student loves being on student counsel, and attending clubs, and doing extra volunteer projects around her school. It's an awesome experience, and an "A" rated school. I am glad that students wear uniforms, so my student can focus on her studies, without other distractions.

This school is great. I really like how much effort the staff put in with our kids. The front office is the best part. They make my life so much easier. They know everything and everyone around the school. They help guide me in the right direction when I feel lost. Coming back from a year with virtual learning has been very difficult and the front office has helped us adjust back to normal. The supporting staff of this school is amazing especially with everything going on. I know parents can be difficult at times but the front office has done so well managing the front end of the school. They are great multitaskers. I also appreciate how kind they are to my kids. The staff here really show they care about everyone walking through those doors.

Also our experience with 5th grade was very fortunate. Ms. Houck and Ms. Wright, Mr. Dickson and Mr. Ramirez, helped the students to learn in a fun and caring environment. I am disappointed about the school splitting and that is why we are moving schools, we live pretty far. Other than that we would stay here. We cried the last day of school, we will miss everybody here.

The teachers at the elementary level are beyond phenomenal and I do not say this often. Ms. Revetta is the finest teacher any student can have. She treats all the kids with utmost respect which is very rare to see in teachers. My daughter told me the other day that "I never want Kindergarten to end" and I feel the same way. If you children is lucky enough to get a spot consider sending them. Ms. Cross, is another amazing teacher, she cares so deeply for her students. I feel guilty she spends so much of her own money buying a lots of things for the kids.
Having said that, I am very disappointed in Middle School as well as High School teachers. I hope they improve,

I am very pleased with Harmony School of Political Science. I had my son in a public school and transferred my son to Harmony for the 3rd grade. I have found the teachers at Harmony to be very involved in my son success at school. If he is not making the grade, the school requires him to do tutoring after school.

I looked at the demographic information given by the school and completely disagree with the stats submitted. Although the school is not very forthcoming with this information, it is without a doubt the most obvious observation that the midle eastern and northern African population is as large, if not larger, than the majority claimed by the school. This has been very concerning to us since my kids have students in their class that only speak Turkish or Arabic. The population of the school sure doesn't reflect the demographic population of the community that it serves.

We have two of our kids at HSPS at 1st and 3rd grades. Very satisfied so far. Impressed with how easily reachable the teachers and even the principle is! I feel they really care about our kids.

We are very happy with the teachers. The teachers are dedicated and have goals for students to excel in academics.
Wonderful staff.
Great school.

I like this school because of the patterns they are using to teach the students. I can see improvement and eagerness in my child to learn and do something more than he is doing. Understanding about each and every subject is appreciable. This is our first year and really feel the school should be like this only...

The fact that teachers are not trained as they should be bothers me. They are supposed to keep up standard of a Charted School which I have experienced is terribly lacking.
The classwork and the homework is not too great, it's like learning 40% of school time. At the end of the year it's all about raising money from parents. Over and above the students have no lanuage barriers at all. They speak adult words and are ignored on campus.
If we take concerns to the authorities they will ignore the situation after the first meeting instead of working on it.
It should shut down for good.

In group projects, the student who always get good grade will do all the work and the rest of his group will get all As. This does not develop honesty and integrity and fairness. Teachers should ask each of them to list what they have done.

I have two kids that go to this school and we have been here since its first day of opening so I think I can say a lot about this school.

1. Space: Talking about space, there are hardly any space in the classroom, the music classroom has no chair and students have to sit on the floor to learn imagine that.
They have to space for a talented and gifted classroom so the poor teacher has to check everyday to see where she can teach.

2. Dirty bathrooms: not sure if the administration take notice, but the little kids bathrooms are filthy, my kid actually refuse to go there and hold his until the end of the day.

3. Pickup and drop off: Harmony has a rule that little kids must be walked to the car by a teacher at pick up which make sense to me since they may get into car accidents. Unfortunately, on a lucky day when they have 4 teachers to walk the kids to car, they only stand there to talk, chat to others and ignoring the kids. I really feel so so sorry for THE ONE teacher who walk all of the kids by herself while her coworkers just stand and talk to each other. I can tell from her expression that she doesn't like it one bit. On a unlucky day and this happen 90% of the time, they have only 1 teacher who walk the kids, and if you count kindergarten and first grade alone that's almost 200 students, yep, she walks 200 kids by herself and the school does not care. Can they assign a few more teacher to do pick up and drop off who actually will do the work instead of TALKING?

4. Teacher/student ratio: brace yourself, there are 26 kids per class in the lower grade, I have absolutely no idea how teacher can give individual attention to each child.

5. Profanity: in the upper grade, because my kid is one of the advanced student and straight A, teachers always assign him to sit with the bad kids, who frequently use profanity in the classroom everyday and he said most of the time teacher don't even care and if they do, they will only say things like "Oh, come on M". To me, this is unexceptionable, they must take this to the Dean of Discipline and call his parents. I used to go to high school as well but I never have to hear one swear word simply because we all know we will get in a big trouble if we do.

We are very happy with the teachers! I have one boy in 5th grade. The teachers keeping updates about homework and others subjects. They are very easy to contact and they are very quickly to respond to your concerns. I like all the rules !like a professional from another country ( Latin America ) I like the way to teach in hps!the teachers teach them.like parents we don't expect that school or teacher's fix the holes in ours kids this is our job.they going to the school to learn no to be teach how to be...this is our job!!! Some parents make a lots complaints about all the rules ..rules are good for the sake of my kid.the faculties are very nice..and they doing a great effort to the new drop off and pick up system. We are very please with Harmony political and Science

This school is great. It has very friendly and warm environment. I have two children at the school. We had a great year. Teachers are very nice and dedicated .They really care about children and try to give the best education possible for the students. The principal is very friendly and accessible to parent .Front office personal is very helpful. School is ethnically very diverse which I like. There are a lot of extracurricular activities at school. In general I am satisfied with HSPS

This school is a terrible place for high school students. To say that this school prides itself on academic excellence, integrity, strict dress code policies and character building, it is very disturbing that this school would allow students who exhibit bad behavior, disrespectful, and bully type behavior to run rampant in the high school population. There are a group of girls who practically run the high school and have managed to run a lot of the good students away from this school. There has been several complaints brought to the administrators and nothing was resolved. There are a few teachers who have witnessed the bullying in their classrooms and did nothing to stop it. As a matter of fact, a few of the teachers sponsored ahigh school banquet and awarded the main students who cause trouble awards and accolades as if to put a stamp on bad behavior. These students are rejects from Round Rock ISD and Austin ISD where a few of them were expelled and can never return to those This is not a safe and positive environment to learn in on a daily basis. Until those students are kicked out like the other districts have done, the enrollment will continue to decline.

My review is based on personal observations at this school, not hearsay. There is a lot that goes on at this school that is kept secret but would be very upsetting to most parents. Volunteer! Staff does not pay enough attention to the older students which can and does affect the younger children in a negative way. Certain "pet" students are allowed to disregard rules and uniform if it doesn't suit them. Administration is not adequately qualified to handle the numerous amount of students with psychological/behavioral problems. Front office women are moody, disrespectful, unprofessional. They "forget" to file important papers and quite often "lose" them, blaming parents or each other. They gossip about students and their families. They all lack the skills and personality to perform well here. The younger one is so bad that most people avoid her. Principal is nice but a poor leader. He doesn't know how to discipline his staff or guide them to be a part of a strong team. The school is not kept clean. The construction is shoddy and is in constant disrepair. Certain children may do okay here, but on the whole, most leave and go back to their local district or private school.

Great School, great academics, great teaching staff, my child is excited about going back next year. Love the uniforms, they save money and help to reduce distractions. This creates a better learning environment for the kids. This school listens to parents and makes improvements all the time. We couldn't be happier.

My son can't wait to attend this school for his second year. He is happy and is being engaged academically. He has made huge leaps in reading and math due to the curriculum, teaching quality, and academic culture this school has.

Teachers in this school are as a family and they try to do their best for all students.

Posted: April 4, 2014

This school is just plain horrible. It seems exciting when you first start here . But, you will be constantly disappointed here. Everything mentioned negatively in the ratings is true.

I cannot be more please for having my three kids in the school. This is there second year. The teachers are committed and the school offers FREE tutoring when the students need it. The uniform has saved us lots of money and a way for students to all look the same no competition. Great discipline. No bullying. Also great preparation for STAAR. I highly recommend this school especially I have my an elementary, intermediate and high schooler all in one school.

I have three kids at HSPS and I couldn't be more pleased with the level of education they are getting. The curriculum is challenging, the teachers are well qualified in the subjects that they are teaching and with a uniform policy in place I save allot of money on clothes. We've been at this campus since the opening three years ago and I can see where and why this school got criticism but just like any new organization you have a learning curve. The school has come a long way and I am very satisfied with their level of communication, discipline, curriculum and teacher retention. As a parent the number one asset of a school to offer is the quality of it's teachers. I am impressed with how far my middle schooler has come with the help of their on site ELA specialist and the constant and much needed attention that the teachers give to all my kids. We've gone from failing TAKS tests in public schools and not being able to work independently to understanding concepts, working independently, passing the STAAR with high scores not just barely making the cut and reading at higher grade levels. For my family my mind is at ease that my kids are getting the best education they can.

Hate this school! This is from a parent whose child is in kindergardan. Irresponsible school. It is impossible communicate to the teachers. I dont know if teachers are careless or is it just their system being goofed up.

My son and daughter attended the Harmony FM 620 for two years, since the school open. The first year parents were told about the rigors STEM education each student was to receive. The teachers and parents where excited about Harmony. The following year the better teaches didn t return and other teachers left throughout the second year. Harmony has no gifted program; all the children are mix in with different levels of education. If you have a gifted or talent child they will not be challenge. Harmony doesn t have any program to accommodate these children. FM 620 Harmony is NOT like other Harmony s in Houston, Dallas or other Austin Campuses. They do not have a medical nurse in their school office. If your child needs medicine or his/her temperature taking then they are at the mercy of the person on phone duties. The two years my children were at Harmony I didn t see any positive gain in their education or social skills. What they did gain was lower self-worth due to bullying, bad langue and learned more about the human body outside the health class room.

The academics are the only reason I would give this school any stars. My daughter has attended since the school opened and will be in 4th grade unless we can find an alternative placement elsewhere. She is a straight A student involved in several extra curricular activities, all of which you have to pay for. The school dress code is Draconian and a double standard. Students are allowed to practice hijab, but no hooded coats are allowed. Girls, even at high school level, are required to wear the same polo shirt and slacks as boys. There is an air of male superiority among the students that extends to bullying of the girls.

Harmony schools are not what they claim to be. Class rataios are not 11:1. My daughters class last year was 22:1 and this year is 26:1. My sons class sizes are similar. It is not math and science intensive. Both my kids qualified for science GT but there is no GT science. Bullies run the school. There is no discipline enforced. The noise level is so loud for lack of proper interior acoustics my children get a headaches every day. My 4th grader has lunch on the sidewalk in a closed courtyard where high school students are playing tag football. Safety is a grave concern. Undocumented (no ID) construction worker roam all over campus. Construction takes place during the school day near students. There is no playground, no gym, no cafeteria. My 2nd grader eats lunch in her classroom where there are now bugs. Her recess is in an auditorium with no acoutical tiles so it is really, really loud. My 4th graders recess is in a courtyard where high school students eat lunch at the same time and bully the elementary students. Most importantly for a school the academic rigor is non-existant. Harmony spends a lot of money on recruiting students with promises that do not exist.
