As a Catholic parent, I opted to enroll my child at GSCA. BIG MISTAKE ! This school is "NOT" rooted in Catholic beliefs as they say they are ! All this school cares about is MONEY ! Not your child's education ! The principal is never visible. The only time she can be seen is at PTC meetings. Her office door are closed to parents. One has to go thru the secretary to resolve an issue. Try giving her a call and see who answers your question! If your child has any type of learning disability, don't bring them here! They will not work with you or your child! They are not equip to teach any student that has any type of learning disability! The teachers here don't have a degree in teaching. Teachers are given so many duties that they have no choice but to do away with their after school tutoring. This year alone 3 teachers had resigned their position. REALLY ? In one school year? One thing these teachers are all good at is gossiping! It would make me sick to my stomach to see them all hold hands in the morning at prayer. If you really want a Catholic education for your children, send them to another Catholic school ! Not this one !!!!

Good Shepherd Catholic Academy is an excellent choice for a family looking at attending a private school. Our daughter is in her second year at GSCA and she is excited about learning everyday. The early elementary is using Super Kids and phonics to learn reading. Our daughter's reading level and ability have increased dramatically. Her favorite subjects are Math, Art, and Library. It is fabulous that students get individualized attention and positive encouragement. We are so happy with our choice and expect to keep our daughter here through 8th grade. The religious instruction is very good too. The church and school work really well together and meet the families and students to encourage their family faith. Everyone here in every department is really focused on the success of every student. The bi-lingual education program is growing and the professional development of teachers is really great to see. Parental involvement is highly encouraged and there are a variety of family events throughout the year. One last point is the sports and clubs - such dedication from teachers! The variety of clubs is fabulous from art, dance, cheer, crochet, band etc. Sport choices are also great.
