I was a student at this school for four years, and graduated in 2023. In all things I like to weigh the pros and cons. The pros, very clean school, good athletics facilities, and an above average rate of personable kind teachers. The cons- while most of the teachers are kind people, they are very mediocre teachers at best. Theyre quite understaffed. For two of my four years in high school I was placed with a substitute teacher in math. Math has always been a subject I struggled in, and being placed with a person who just gave us papers stifled my learning. All you are is a number to staff. The principal is very NPC. She treats students like they are incompetent. Very entitled attitude. The bus situation is a mess, to put it plainly. My sophomore year I rode the bus- and got home everyday at 5:40pm. But my most recent issue, TRANSCRIPTS! If youre about to graduate, for the love of everything good, make sure they send over your FINALIZED transcript to your college. This institution had never updated my transcript for who knows why? This has put me into a predicament. With all that being said, most public schools will be like this. Lower quality, negligent, and only sees their students as a number. Im quite jaded by the schooling system. It fails so many people. I wouldnt say it necessarily failed me, but it definitely has disappointed me.

My son thrived in the environment at VMHS. He participated in Varsity sports all 4 years and he also took a challenging course load. He thrived and is in the top 5% of his class. We couldn't have done it without all his teachers and counselors giving him all the opportunities and ensuring he had a chance to succeed.
