This campus should be closed permanently. I am a Contract teacher who walked into a classroom situation that was beyond horrific. The "teacher" who weren't even certified teachers, were verbally abusive toward me, lazy and negligent. They provided zero meaningful, daily instructional content as the students were left to watch videos and "play. " throughout the school day. The " Art teacher" on campus, ate pizza at her desk and put kids on tablets the entire instructional period. This was a daily occurrence.
Not only was I verbally abused by teachers in my own classroom, one teacher became physically aggressive when she shoved me into a trash can. Reports were filed both with the campus admin and at the district level. To date, this teacher is still employed with the district as Sped, long term substitute teacher.
The campus leadership was also the worst I have ever seen. From the principal to the Sped Dept. Leads, they gladly turned a blind eye and were completely unresponsive to the abuse that was taking place right under their nose. And to further exemplify the situation, they were accusatory and disrespectful in regard to my concerns about my fears for my personal safety.
This was the worst campus I have seen in my 10 plus years as a certified teacher. This campus needs to clean house from top to bottom. Otherwise, I believe, it is only a matter of time before TEA becomes actively involved with the accreditation process. The campus will eventually be closed if changes are not effectively implemented.
My testimony is not the first nor will it be the last. I strongly caution ANYONE to reconsider their choice if they have selected Idea Converse as their future campus.

My daughter was a beautiful, perfect, healthy student athlete. She lost all her motivation and confidence because of these coaches, and these administrators. I feel like if it wasnt for me, they wouldve ruined her. They tried, they dont want whats best for these kids. I honestly dont even know why they have the jobs that they do.
