This school is conflicting, there are quite a few pros and cons. On one hand, there are plenty of teachers who love teaching their subjects, and were able to effectively switch their teaching during the Pandemic. On the other, it was easy to see which teachers cared more for their in person students, because, in my experience with a select few teachers, the difference in assignments and attention given to online students is astonishing. With all students going back in person, I'm hoping this gap will disappear, because the majority of these teachers are amazing to learn from!

I hated going to school here, they mean good but very annoying and feels like forced happiness.

As someone with a learning disability this school made me feel comfortably and provided the means through which I could learn and grow.

The character of the school and its students took care of most if not all of the bullying. The administration almost never had to deal with bullying because the student base didn't do it, but if it ever did happen you can be sure that it was snuffed out quickly and effectively.

I would rate my experience at the school an 8 or 9 out of 10. The school has done a lot of things right and I am proud to call it my alma mater.

As a former student from the school I can honestly say that the homework situation is good. I was in advanced courses and though the work load was large it was manageable, and now attending university I think it properly prepared me for what i now have to handle.

The teachers at this school are caring and want for all the of their students to succeed. If a child was struggling all they would need to do is show the initiative to go in for help and it was given in spades.

Going to this school has made me a better person outright. I was able to spend time with people from all different races and backgrounds and develop a respect for all, and all of this was in part facilitated by the school staff.

I have had the chance now as a former student to go back to the school and sit down with the leadership and really pick their brains about the state of the school and the direction they want. Having gone there i can honestly say that the direction I have spoken about with leadership in on it's way to becoming a reality.

Strong school with great cultural diversity. Eastview is the hidden gem if you are picking a high school in Georgetown. Test scores and state ratings speak volumes. GISD doesn't give East View the praise it deserves for the all the school has accomplished in 7 years.

Teachers are available before and after school for tutorials.

Very caring and prideful in meeting students needs. The teachers go the extra mile in helping students succeed.

Fantastic principal and the Assistant Principals are fair and consistent when it comes to discipline.

Not tolerated at all. Students hold each other accountable.

The Pre AP Geometry teacher mentally abuses the kids because she is so frustrated that she can’t physically touch the kids. Her weekly comment “I can do whatever I want because I’m mean!”

Posted: November 7, 2017

20 minutes to review in class and rest of the time is used to do it on your own while teachers catch up on their work

Posted: November 7, 2017

Theft is forced upon the kids to handle. Campus police and Principals make it solve the incidents. Drugs tests are mishandled.

Posted: November 7, 2017

The teaching staff have children that attend and their issues and wants are dealt with first.

A student had a pregnancy terminated and when one student said something about it off campus, the school escalated the situation by calling in students to find out if the statement was true. The staff causes drama.

Posted: November 7, 2017

This school should not be open. It is a “Lean on Me” type of situation. Poor kids doing drugs, stealing, terminating pregnancy, and running the staff!! Not safe for any child to attend.

This school has a very well rounded, diverse population. All the kids mix and mingle together. I love the fact that kids of all walks of life (different economical backgrounds, races, religions, etc) all develop friendships, work as athletes and truly consider each other equal.

Teachers, coaches, administrators have big hearts and are there to help the kids. Beautiful, newer state of the art facility. Lots of Patriot Pride! Excellent place to get a high school education. My daughter is in her second year at EVHS and the experience has been positive!

Fantastic student body, great teachers, and an excellent principal. East View is a fairly new high school, yet people are already hearing about what a wonderful school it is. Go patriots!
