school had a lot of drug activity that teachers knew nothing about
there were multiple fights everyday multiple times a day and a slim amount to none were reported. At this school there was alot of bullying but very little
got reported. Students were bringing drugs, alcahol , and even weapons like knives .

My son attended this school for 6th - 8th grade and he loved this school. Principal was always available if needed, you always see him greeting students in the morning outside as they are being dropped off. For meetings he was always present as well and very polite and interacted with parents. When pandemic started their was great communication and frequent parent meetings online for parents to stay involved and informed. Assistance was only a call away and very prompt responses from front office staff as well. The smaller classes and school made a world of a difference for my son and he has excelled in all his courses.

My son moved from a small private school to Rusk in 6th grade. It was an easy transition for him because of the small class sizes, teachers who truly care about the academics they are teaching my son and the administration that supports the academic learning environment.

Not all but some of the teachers do seem to care and do follow up with the parents if their children are falling behind. I think this is very good and I would encourage all teachers to do the same.

My children started in this school 2014~2015 and they did great. The teachers have great communication with the parents. If anything is going on you will be notified whether it's good or bad. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

This school has been through many changes, new principal for 2012/2013, termination of several staff positions, mainly due to budget cuts they say. Staff was friendly in years gone by but now seem stressed & unfriendly. They say they offer Robotics but kids say no, at least not yet! Renovations promised since 2007 not yet started. And please don't park in front of the school because the meter maid is ticket happy!
