This school managed to turn a Christmas celebration into an exercise in exclusion. My child was denied a simple Barbie doll because gifts were reserved only for students with perfect attendance. While attendance may matter to administrators, singling out children during a holiday meant to represent generosity and kindness is cruel and unnecessary.
This policy unfairly targets underserved familiesespecially children who miss school due to transportation or other hardships beyond their control. The emotional impact on a child being publicly excluded is something this administration clearly failed to consider.
Adding insult to injury, parents were charged $3 for a holiday party, which amounted to one slice of pizza and no gift. I would have preferred to keep my child home and teach her what Christmas is actually about, rather than let a school lesson shame her.
This was not motivating, not educational, and certainly not loving. Children will remember how this made them feeland this school should be ashamed of that.

We had 2 foster kids that were enrolled in this school. Initially the 3rd grader was placed in 1st grade because they couldnt get her grades from her old school. The kids would come home with class work where the teachers wrote things like excellent or 100% when there were very clear mistakes on the work.
There was zero communication from either of the teachers and they showed no interest in helping the kids succeed.

These educators are misogynists and shouldn't be allowed around children.

Very good school with outstanding facilities, energetic young teachers, a great central location, and a middle school arts magnet program that looks like it will be a major feeder into HSPVA. The middle school was especially compelling for us because it is small, the teachers work as a close-knit team, all of their classrooms are within 100 feet of each other, and the 6th graders are not the youngest ones on campus. It made for a painless transition from elementary.

This is a follow up to my last review the school has a new principal but it still lacks that strong leadership need for the school to soar, there is still alot of bullying and a huge lack of respect from staff to parents.

Gregory Lincoln is an excellent school. Its a magnet school & has amazing fine arts programs. The staff at GLEC are amazing and will go out of their way to help/assist you. I don't really know anything that could help improve the school, but continue doing what you PANTHERS do.

This is one of the best schools I've ever attended. The teachers there are AMAZING!! I couldn't ask for more. The staff is nice, kind, and very helpful. Its my 1st year here in middle school, but I have so many good things to say about it. I RECOMMEND this school for every other student who isn't satisfied at where they go to school now or feel they could do better.
