In my experience special students are put in normal classes slowing everyone down, and with the law of no phones everyone is miserable since we used to be able to play on our phones during lunch and no one was really on their phone otherwise but now we don’t get that little break and everyone is sneaking phones because we don’t get a proper break, i understand it’s a law and not just a rule but it’s really stupid

If I’m being honest, a lot of the teachers and staff either encourage bullying (I’ve had/seen students get made fun of—even by teachers) or they ignore it all together. There’s been a few teachers that I feel are actually caring for the students, but two that I know no longer teach here.

The teaching, however, is half-and-half. There’s a handful of teachers that aren’t too great at teaching. This is not meant to be an insult, but rather a fact. I haven’t encountered more than four teachers that lack teaching ability, and I hope it stays that low for future students.

I’m not in special education, but from what I have seen, the staff does accommodate to them. I cannot give more than that much information due to my lack of knowledge upon special education.

On a different note, back on the teachers, I have noticed quite a lot of teachers use AI to grade and give examples. I, personally am against the use of AI, not just because it is bad for the environment, but also because it can give out wrong answers.

As a student at this school the teachers are absolutely horrible and especially that dance teacher there she constantly believes a student in faking their injury if they happen to get hurt quite a bit and has made some people participate in dance even with an ankle that could snap any moment and she very rarely pays any attention to the ones that literally limping and crying after being made to do a move they clearly can't do

To be honest I’ve seen extreme examples of double standards, as I’ve seen a girl get lunch detention over throwing a small piece of plastic while boys could be throwing food and only get a warning. It’s quite common for girls to get harsher punishment over boys, and some of physical education classes make people participate even with injuries. And I’ve seen so many teachers either be to harsh or laidback when it comes to grades or activities. And as for the building itself it commonly has lights out that don’t get fixed for months, leaking ceilings, ceiling tiles completely missing, broken toilets that don’t get fixed, and most food served is either overcooked or undercooked especially the breakfast for lunch sausage.

This school is worse than any other school i been to.

I would rate my experience here a 3, only because of the teachers that are trying to reach every single student using new and exciting lesson plans.

While many teachers at HMS try new and innovative ways to teach lessons, other, more veteran teachers rely on the same lessons they have always taught and fear technology.

Students do what they can to get teachers fired and make a game of it. In some cases, it actually works.

The favoritism between administration and staff is very apparent. Great teachers are being run off in order to maintain friendships. Administration bends to the will of the parents.

My experience at Huffman Middle School has been memorable and I’ve done well so I would say 5/5.

I think we receive homework that’s not too difficult, but sometimes we get too much and it’s very stressful.

They try very hard and for the most part it works, but not in all students. I don’t think that’s the school’s fault, but how those particular students listen.
