This is a wonderful school. There has been a change in leadership often. But, they maintain the crestview way that has been there for years! The family, camaraderie, and overall environment that is presented has remained unchanged. This school has teachers who fight for their children and love them. There are many clubs, after school activities, and camps. They have remained number 1 in the district and stay a A rated campus. I love the school and would recommend as a student and family member of teachers there.

This school is a one-of-a-kind gem. I have been blessed to be a teacher at this fantastic school for 12 years, working alongside the most caring and dedicated staff you will ever find. We offer a variety of after-school clubs, host family nights, and other engaging events.

If you’re considering enrolling your child in this school, I strongly recommend reevaluating that decision. There have been significant concerns regarding the integrity and accountability of the administration. Reports suggest that leadership has been dishonest in communication with parents and has encouraged similar behavior among staff. Additionally, there are troubling accounts of bullying being overlooked by counseling staff, with serious incidents not being properly reported or addressed.

There appears to be a pattern of prioritizing personal relationships over student safety and ethical responsibility. As a result, students may not be adequately protected, and parental concerns often seem to be dismissed or ignored. The administration’s handling of these issues during the 2024–2025 school year raises serious questions about the school’s leadership and commitment to a safe and supportive learning environment.

It is hoped that district leadership will take a closer, objective look at these matters and ensure accountability where it is due.

Had my daughter here for 2 years for Prek 3 and Prek 4 and it was great - then they changed admin and it went downhill from there. My daughter (in kinder) was hurt multiple times throughout the year and the behavior students were never corrected. It got to the point where multiple students were getting hurt daily from one student as well as the teacher was getting hurt yet they did nothing to prevent the behavior. The principal downplayed my daughter’s injuries and at one point said my daughter hurt herself - mind you this incident she was punched in the face while on tablets minding her business and it was documented on the nurse’s slip she was punched in the face by another student. I met with her teacher (who was wonderful) multiple times and she assured me my daughter was never instigating or initiating these incidents. Met with the principal to discuss what action needed to happen/to get a better insight on disciplinary actions for behavior issues and principal said they “talk” to the students - that’s it. My daughter got hurt over 10 times and each time they “talked” to the student yet it kept happening so their disciplinary plans do nothing. This student was disrupting the class multiple times a day where class learning had to be put on hold. They would pull the student for 15 minutes then bring the student right back even if they weren’t calmed down. Everything is reactive not proactive here and they do not care about student safety or learning. I talked with other parents and they were having the same exact issues. The assistant principal is the only admin person who went out of her way to check up on my daughter and communicated things with me but she was shut down by the principal most of the time. I ended up having to make a bullying report against the student for them to take any sort of action. Most of the teachers/paras are great but they are not receiving the support they need to be successful in their jobs which is sad. I decided to pull my daughter from this school and have no intention of returning. This school cares more about attendance numbers than learning and safety.

my son has dyslexia so they take him out of class for a bit during the day so then when he comes home he has a ton of homework and has to stay up late tring to get it done cause he is not given extra to work on it unless he gives up recess time in which he cries cause he feels punished..plus the other kids in the class make fun of him for having to leave the class to get the help...the teacher does not even care!!!

both my children get picked on here daily....the counselor told me my son needs tuffer skin!!my daughter has been shoved to the ground by a boy and made fun of for being white....there is no diversity at this school and i wish we could move:(

disappointment !!! they only care about test scores....they teach spanish kids english but the other kids dont know spanish? and in a school primarily made up of 65 percent spanish you would think they would want everyone to understand each other? geez i would love all the kiddos to get to graduate with a dual language.

We were pleasantly surprised at both the quality of the teaching and the overall administration of Crestview Elementary. You could tell the teachers really cared about all of the students here, and made a real effort every day. Excellent public school.

It is super easy to get I touch with the teachers. They implemented class dojo so all I have to do is simply text them with problems or questions

I feel they try to encourage and promote good morals, but I feel bullying is a problem and it needs to be dealt with swiftly.

The faculty and staff are top notch! They really care about each individual student. I'm a foster mom, and had several kids attend Crestview. Every teacher I experienced working with were excellent educators who took special interest in what was best for each of my children.

We moved from another state & bought a house that was zoned for this district because we thought since it was so highly rated, it would be wonderful. Boy, were we wrong. Our child started halfway through the year. She was expected to be at the same level as the children who had been there all year. We were told the first week "Your child needs to learn self control." My answer? "She's 4! Plus this is her first time ever in a school...give her some time." Morning drop is terrible. Numerous times there would be 4 and 5 year old children waiting by the office alone with no teacher in sight. It is very clear that if your child is primarily Spanish speaking, you will do well at this school. The teachers greet and speak to the children and their parents in Spanish at morning drop off...if you don't speak Spanish, you aren't greeted. From what I can tell, the school teaches just what the kids need to know to test well in order to get their "10" rating. I would give the school a 5 personally. Our child will NOT be returning!

I highly recommend Crestview Elementary School, they have a very good academic level, administrative staff and teachers are very good and kind, it is an excellent school.

If I could afford to move, I would. As my grandson prepares for kindergarten next year, we have attempted to learn about this school's kinder round up. All the other schools/districts in the area have already sent home information. We get no reply from district or campus level personel. There is no information on the school sign. There is no information anywhere. Trying to early vote in the district this past week was a scavenger hunt of where and when and the bond information does not fully disclose plans. The same issues plagued this district when my children attended. I would move if I could. Unfortunately, I am not in a situation for that kind of change. I am a parent, a teacher (another district) and a grandparent.
