Wouldn't send your child here unless they actively plan to get into fights or conflicts. One of the staff told me she would contact my parent after i was struck across the neck by another student (she didn't). The student remained out of trouble for a full semester and my parents were not contacted until they came up to the school. The excuse was that she was so busy that she forgot to call, and also that black male students should have one more chance, even after hurting another student without reasoning. Teachers are great and truly care about their students, students here are unruly and ill mannered. Have fun getting away with bullying, smoking and such, you'll only get a day in ISS.

This school is garbage… I take that back, that would be an insult to garbage. The administration does nothing to dissuade or prevent bullying. In fact, they are under the guise that if they do nothing about it maybe it’ll go away. This from the principal down to the staff. Oh, and do t hold your breath about getting a phone call returned to you. The only way that will happen is if you file a formal complaint at the district, then all of a sudden it’s like magically they call you back. And when you do finally talk to someone they are the most condescending people for expecting to their job. If you have a choice, do not put your kids in this school. If you do t have a choice, we’ll I hope your kid knows how to fight. This school would be much better served if it closed down.

My children love this school. Nothing but positivity and objective fair approaches to situations.

I withdrew my son from this school. He was viedeotaped by other students in the changing room, before sport. He was told that his parents are super stupid, because he paid for his lunch and didn't get it for free. He was made fun off, because he wore Sketchers, and not Jordans.
He was threatened and humiliated, because he is white.
The counseler and staff was informed and did nothing about it.

I withdrew my child from this school today. My daughter has always been an A/B student and participates in book clubs and choir. She is in honor classes. Yesterday my daughter text me during the day that two girls wanted to jump her so I showed up at the school immediately and talked with the counselor that said she would address this and that the girl had not been physical with anyone thus far.

Afterschool my daughter was jumped by one of these girl bullies (as I was waiting for her in my vehicle) for comforting another child that this same bully was messing with earlier that day. This bully punched my daughter on the side of her head unexpectedly(from behind),pushed her down to the floor, pulled her hair/ears, climbed onto of her and started punching her head/face. This bully cursed words at my daughter that she has never heard in her life.

I am disgusted with the way the school administrators handled this situation from the school officer, to the grade principal, to the main principal!!!!!!

The school officer refused to let me press charges on the girl that attacked my daughter because he was told my daughter swung back at the girl when she was on top of my daughter as if my daughter should have just laid there taking more blows to the head which by the way caused her to have a post-concussion syndrome per her medical provider today. I thought that was called self-defense. Mind you, the school's Academic Dean was standing right by me RIGHT after the incident and heard 6-12 students say my daughter was attacked and they witnessed it.

The officer however is going to let me press charges on this bully's mother for yelling at me in the office after this incident for stating that she would find me and beat me. - explains the bully's behavior!

I am not going to allow this bully to get away with what she did to my daughter. We need to teach these bullies that this is not acceptable and that they will face consequences for their actions since some parents are not teaching their kids this concept.

I just found out that my child was bullied at this school, but my child did not tell me while in school. I wish I had known about it before. Certain staff were helpful when I reached out to them about academics, and there a few issues I had to raise, including: - inappropriate content in assignments, - VIOLATIONS OF FERPA LAW - teachers that are not fair, and - a safety legal issue I realized ALL schools are protected from. It's not fair but I felt they really took advantage of this and ran with it. If I would have known about the bullying problem, I would have done something so its frustrating. If you are an aggressive parent who is informed about parent rights, you can survive, but it won't be a walk in the park. If you are not, I would ask for someone to help you monitor how your child is doing or find an ally at the school. My child, who is not a picky person at all, said that this is NOT a good school. My child made the most out of it though. But it should NOT have to be that way at all.. Middle school, hard enough as it is, should be as pleasant as possible.
