Started my career out in KISD. Cara Trevino was my principal, she offered no support and never told me anything positive. I taught special ed math, she never taught math nor special ed but gave me terrible reviews despite being out of her depth while also negating my stellar Staar scores. Stay far away, special ed is not valued and new teachers are run into the dirt by people like her.

The school does not care about anything especially about bullying, smoking, safety, learning, I could write a full-page essay about this school but since I go to this school currently (2021-2022) I'm going to keep short and simple. I would not recommend coming or sending your child to this school all this is about is Looking pretty, Gangs, &, etc. Some of the teachers don't even try to help people who learn differently or at a different pace (me) .

I have been trying to get a student enrolled for about two weeks.. and counting. The staff does not seem to be in much of any hurry to help the process. We finish a requirement and then there always seems to be more. I’m thankful that this is her last year (if she ever gets enrolled) because I would hate to see what else the school makes difficult for their students to accomplish.

Nope. Not even CLOSE. 3 years, nothing done.

Posted: December 27, 2016

I mean, they're at risk of being bullied like everyone else but other than that the school does a good job.

Posted: December 27, 2016

Nope. They still did nothing to help me.

Posted: December 27, 2016

Of course not, Christian is a pure example that this is false.

Posted: December 27, 2016

They did nothing about me and others being bullied by Christian

I was bullied for 3 years straight by Christian Ramirez. It was horrible.... I had to move schools. :(

THEY DO NOT CARE IF THE CHILD PASSES OR FAILS. THEY ARE NOT WILLING TO GO A LITTLE FURTHER TO HELP THEM UNDERSTAND

My child rides the bus and does not get home until five oclock, then has to do too much homework. When are they suppose to be kids

Posted: September 11, 2015

I have not seen any of these develops in such school or the students. The school is to crowded and full of gangs.

Posted: September 11, 2015

This School is average. The teachers do not seem to care about there students. They take to long to get back to parents.

I love KHS and it is the best high school. Especially with IB and amazing academics. So much school spirit and I love the school. Best school in the area.

This school needs more personnel. I will leave a message and takes days for a return call or none at all. My child has been to 6 schools, thus far and the teachers and coaches are great! Of course you will find some teachers and staff that are misguided them selves. That is in every school that we have been to. My child has a learning disability and so far, most of her teachers work hard for her to thrive. They push her to do her best and she does.

This school is an abomination. Students and the administration lack any sort of discipline. The academics here are a complete joke. None of the students take their learning seriously. It is like water under the bridge. There are few tutoring opportunities for those who are eager to learn. It is like a jungle here. There is no law or order. It is just complete chaos. I do not recomend this school to anyone.

DANGEROUS! Simply a dangerous place to send your child! I don't care what the "ratings" are on paper this school is full of "gang minded" violent youth. It is like sending your child to a prison environment.

Not somewhere i would send my child again. We left the area without my husband to put our children in a better school system.
