Cedar Valley is one of the best elementary schools in the KISD district. I've had 3 children go to the school (currently only my youngest child is enrolled in 2nd grade) and they all loved their teachers (with the exception of my youngest child's 1st grade teacher...that was a tough year where he didn't want to go to school, but he loves his current teacher and the ones before). I would recommend this school to another parent. It's Killeen, but I feel the staff at Cedar Valley really do care about the children and do their best to provide the academic and support needs necessary for each child. I've never had a problem with office staff either.

Cedar Valley High School has become a symbol of systemic discrimination, with Ms. Minor and her staff perpetuating a culture of racism, sexism, and exclusion. Students from diverse backgrounds have repeatedly voiced concerns about unfair treatment, ranging from biased disciplinary actions to dismissive attitudes toward their achievements. The administration's lack of accountability has fostered an environment where prejudice thrives unchecked, leaving many students feeling marginalized and unsupported. CHANGE THE PRINCIPAL.

The staff at Cedar Valley take a caring approach to educating children. Teachers communicate well with parents through apps or phone calls as needed. I've been able to attend several parent nights and PTA events are always excellent.

The school is quick to take recess away from children when one or two act out. Which is the exact opposite of what you should do. Any first year teacher knows that. I’ve had kids in this school for 7 years total and always in TAG classes. The teachers are hit or miss, but for the most part miss. Teachers and admin need more PD on classroom management technics.

Depending on the teacher your kid could have none or stay up until 9 every night

Tag teacher slots filled by teachers that should be on growth plans. Teachers here need major classroom management PD.

Cedar Valley is a great atmosphere with a wonderful staff. My son was in Mrs Boswell's class in which she was strict in her ways but it works well for my son because he went to a MONTESSORI school where all this was taught early. The teachers and PTA do alot for the kids. My son enjoys his self and is learning with a good attitude. I think this school is better then alot of schools because their is compassion for the kids. THEY ARE ONLY KIDS ONCE and to GROW with them is the KEY! CEDAR Valley has that!

Excellent teachers and administrators that truly care about students. Lots of extra curricular activities. Staff emphasizes student acountabilty for academics and behavior! So refreshing. My child truly feels he is important to the teachers and that he matters.

Experienced and friendly staff at this school. Teachers are involved and accessible to parents all the time. Lots of enthusiasm from both the kids and teachers shown throughout the school year! My son loves his school. It is a good combination of ethnicities in this school and the school pride is apparent. The kids are independent thinkers and the higher grade level students sometimes assist the lower grade students. Everything thing seems organized and you can tell the teaching staff is seasoned and intelligent!
