Terrible school that does not care about the students or their wellbeing everyone who works at Oak should be ashamed or at least hope to one day do something meaningful with their lives.

My review got deleted so I made sure to at least rank it as a two star. Because this school is a nightmare on elm street. Especially if its trying to teach students how to be teachers. The panther club preschool let students bully students. Neglecting preschoolers education with students being over obsessed with them. Highly recommended not sending your kid there. The teacher will not want to be responsible for your kids. Especially if the teacher didnt punish an eighteen year old student for kissing one of the preschoolers.
Dont go to this school regardless.

This school is really horrible when it comes down to caring for their students. My daughter doesn't get any help when she asks for it. My daughter was being bullied and the school was very unhelpful. They don't teach anything it's all on computers which is very annoying. I had to get Internet at home just to accommodate this. I'm a single mother struggling raising my daughter and paying bills is difficult. I asked for financial help to pay for my daughters classes and after being reluctant to even help they told me I can pay $30 a month. My daughter hates going to school because it's such a horrible experience at Klein Oak. If I had the means to move I would of never put my daughter in this school. I do not recommend this school to anyone.

This school holds the title of Neglect, only captivated and honor the parents in the booster club and the popular students going through a tough time. while the students from The trailer park, or students from a single-parent household, RUN. Single parents cannot rely on the school at all to help their kid in any way. your child will not have friends here if youre a parent whos single. Especially living in that neighborhood across the street. Very white and very prejudiced towards anyone who doesnt fit the mold. the gossip between PARENTS is horrible and its usually towards the kid with divorced parents or is a minority. My child moved around so many times, they didnt want to switch schools again. She wanted to stay to try to retain friends but unfortunately could not. Youre absolutely lucky if your child is going to college and still has friends from this school. Theyll drop you faster than a hot plate.

Pretty good. It is rigorous without being too overwhelming. The diverse student body allows for everyone to find someone to connect with.
Posted: March 4, 2019
It depends based on the classes, as well as the teachers. Some will give "busy work", while others will give you homework that is effective and helpful for your grade.
Posted: March 4, 2019
It's inconsistent. Some teachers are amazing and others don't teach anything. You can either fail a class depending on the teacher or get 100 for doing nothing.
Posted: March 4, 2019
They really want us to be involved in the school environment.

I am reading these reviews with a fellow Klein Oak alumni and we are wondering how in the world this even has a 7/10. We would never allow our children to go there and cannot believe parents are that disillusioned by the faculty that this is a beneficial school in any way. I 100% would recommend choosing another school in the Klein district.

My experience with Klein Oak was terrible because of how horrible the majority of the students acted every single day.
Posted: November 11, 2016
I would still be in this school if it weren't for these horrible students making me miserable 24/7
Posted: November 11, 2016
Like I said these teachers are wonderful human beings who care so much about their job it's just that I feel bad for them because they suffer severely from these horrible scumbag abominations
Posted: November 11, 2016
Most of the teachers there are wonderful human beings and show how much they care for their job

Klein Oak High School has an awesome spirit of community! The administration and staff are committed to education and their theater arts and music departments are excellent!
Posted: September 10, 2014
Amazing school with great teachers and staff. Very friendly all around. Glad my son attends this school
Posted: September 3, 2014
Unfortunately, not every teacher in the school shows the dedication required for those not involved in AP or IB curricula. A student who is "average" is taught by some (not all) who obviously have no motivation to help. Many (not all) of the sports programs are driven only by their win/loss record and the coaches show no interest in teaching a sport. We are happy with Dr. Greeney and hopeful that he will continue making positive changes.

I have a son in the special education department, I've always been an involved mom because I always had to be my son's advocate for his success in school. Klein Oak staff and administration has always been positive with me and my son. Always helping when I have a question or need assistance. My son is working with the athletic department as a equipment manager for football, the coaches have done nothing short of making my son feel part of the team, that is important to an autisic child. 100% appreciation from this mom!!

Klein Oak is the best! Klein Oak High School is the best in the entire Klein ISD. Dr. Greeney did a fantastic job this last school year and I'm sure he will do it again this upcoming school year.

Klein Oak has a great academic program. Dr. Greeney has done a fantastic job with school spirit and being accessible for the students and parents. He really listens and tries new ideas.

My school as a whole is fantastic. Studend body wise it is better than Collins, Klein, Forest, or any other district highschool in my opinion. The only reason i am living in Texas at the moment is because of Klein Oak High. Their acedemic programs are amazing, their athletic programs are second to none, and the faculty and staff are great too. The student body could be a bit better and there could be less rediculously strict rules, but life goes on.

My son, a graduate of 2014, and myself are extremely pleased with this school for being great leaders in all areas of education and providing excellent communication to the students and parents.

Klein Oak is the best high school in Klein. Dr. Greeney has increased school spirit and has innovative ideas planned for the future to help all kids succeed. He has hosted community meetings to help parents feel connected and keep us informed about changes for the future. Thank you, Dr. Greeney, for your hard work!

There are some great teachers at Klein Oak but unfortunately the majority of them are teaching IB or AP classes. When a student has difficulty understanding something I feel like many times the teacher assumes they are not trying. My daughter is a bright young lady but does have difficulty learning at times. I feel like she is one of the students that are lost in the crowd. When I have spoken to some of her teachers over the last 4 years about how to help her they have been very negative. I feel like the teachers should be there to help ALL the students not just the IB and AP students. Also, the girls volleyball head coach does very little to help the girls grow as a person and to learn from being on a team but actually causes many of them to feel belittled or subpar as a person. She is very negative and I have known her for the last 11 years. I have had 2 daughters play for her, one that went on to play in college, no thanks to the KO coach and the other who actually quit at KO along with many of her teammates because of the way they were treated. I sincerely hope the new principal will be able to improve things for the regular students and the volleyball program.

Klein Oak High School is a phenomenal school. Their IB, PreAp, and AP teachers are very hard working, devoted teachers. On the contrary many of the "regulars" classroom teachers lack motivation and often yield poor performance. Our new principal Dr.Greeney is a blessing! He's cheerful, smart, and hardworking. Most of the students at our school love him for his humor and uplifting personality. A major improvement that our educational system needs in general (at the individual school level) is a strong incentive for students to pursue their own learning. By this I mean that our students are "forced" into learning particular studies without given reasoning, logic, or practical real life application unless directly asked by a student. Unfortunately not every (nor the majority) of students are dedicated, responsible learners. Once students have the desire to learn there is a major change in behavior. I've noticed that schools--mine in particular-- throw out heaps of money to promote active learning yet get low performance returns for their investments. They are simple throwing their money in the wrong directions. Instead, they should provide attractive logic why to learn at all.

Klein Oak has the best students, teachers and faculty. Not only do they respect the rules of the district, they respect each other. They are all selfless people that give to each other and the community.

Klein Oak's administration has impressed me. The are very efficient and friendly each time I've had to contact them. Teaching staff is very supportive as well.
Posted: May 14, 2014
Klein Oak has been an AWESOME school for our daughter. She graduates this year with a full scholarship to University of Texas. The principal and the staff have been wonderful.
Posted: May 10, 2014
The administration has great diversity to it but they might want to tweak it just a bit. I do not like how laxed some of the rules are but I do like how we are allowed to have dress up days. Some of the teachers need to just retire already or learn that they should not be teaching. The administration needs to monitor the teachers more and they need to make sure that what students are doing in class is actually relative to the course work. Great school just needs some updates.

Klein Oak is an amazing school, with tremendous pride and brilliant students and staff members. Oak offers a wide array of multitudinous electives to prepare students for the real world and the careers they may so choose to decide on. The International Baccalaureate (IB) program offered goes above and beyond to satisfy requirements as well as offer students a true challenge through learning. Klein Oak has an amazing Fine Arts department, recieving multiple national titles and is every commonly known in a large area. Teachers are more than simply qualified and go out of their way to assist students with anything they could possibly need by lending an affectionate ear.

We have only been in Klein Oak for 1 year but are very impressed with the leadership and quality of education. The school offers so many opportunities for the students to succeed and takes a personal interest in each student. Although it is a large school, the feel of a small environment is present. The extra-curricular activity choices are so broad that every student can find an activity that interests them. Dr. Greeney is a wonderful principal and the kids all respect and love him. Communication between staff and parents is open and constant. As a parent, I am so happy that we made the choice to ensure my child would attend Klein Oak High School.

Klein Oak is a great place to teach. I love my students and the staff!

This is a great school with an IB program in the greater Houston area. We are looking forward to sending our 2nd child through the program. It has an outstanding Orchestra program. The principal tries to be involved in the students' activities at the school. He has attended every single Orchestra event since the students started inviting him. He also likes to be engaged with the students in the hallways during the day. Very personable. The teachers challenge the students to achieve. Communication with the parents is usually timely when not so great things happen at the school.

Klein Oak is a fabulous school that really cares about their students. The Fine Arts department, IB program and the Student Council is amazing. As a parent, I have been hugely impressed with the education that my child has recieved at this school.

Klein Oak believes in every student! The teachers go above and beyond to make sure each student is successful. The administration is approachable and always willing to answer questions. Klein Oak is a great place to be!!

very good with career development with lots of opportunities for students to explore different careers. love the paperless academics with laptops
Posted: April 22, 2014
Klein Oak is a school working hard to serve the needs of all learners. I would recommend it to any prospective parent wanting to move here. Our fine arts are excellent.
Posted: April 20, 2014
Overall i am very pleased with Klein Oak as one child went thru and a second one in the class of 16. I have a problem with the administration ignoring issues with teachers. There is a big problem in the science dept and don't feel the kids are being properly prepared for science courses in college. Kids in regular classes are treated different by some teachers like they are all bad kids and therefor in regulars and that is not always the case. I do not like this year, how the principal and teachers have ignored the klein isd dress code it has caused a lot of problems that i have witnessed first hand. The school has great programs and clubs for every kid to find something they will enjoy. Most of the teachers are great to work with and communicate with parents and will help the child at all times to be successful. They have an amazing fine arts dept and agriculture dept. It is by far the best high school in the area and very proud to have my kids graduate from Oak.
Posted: April 20, 2014
My school is good. But the IB program at Klein Oak is amazing. I recommend going to Klein Oak if you are a participant in the IB program.
Posted: April 16, 2014
I've been really impressed with the quality of Fine Arts education. The choral music program and dance programs are superior to anything in the Houston area and enhance academics!
Posted: April 16, 2014
We are VERY impressed with Klein Oak High School. Our kids are getting a great education and we don't have problems with Drugs, fighting etc.... The teachers and student body are second to none. We recently went through a rezoning and considered moving if your kids were zoned elsewhere. Dr. Greeney (new Principal) is Fabulous and the students respond well to him.

Klein Oak is by far the best school in the Greater Houston Area. My daughter graduated in 2012 and has been very successful in college, primarily because of the preparation she received at Klein Oak. My son will graduate in 2016 and we are thrilled to be a part of such an amazing public school.
Posted: April 15, 2014
My school isn't horrible but it has a lack in excitment but for the most part in all my experince here at Oak i can say i'm proud to be a panther because we have a good staff willing to work with any problems you may have and they always encourge us to do better. Not a lot of schools have caring teachers like ours.
Posted: April 15, 2014
My school is full of spirit and the need to be a productive part of the community. The staff and students are truly the best.
Posted: April 15, 2014
Klein Oak is the best high school in the district!! Great experience for the parent as well as the student. Both of my kids attend Oak and they love it. The teachers truly are outstanding. The fine arts departments are awesome.
Posted: April 15, 2014
I'm a senior this year and I could not think of another school where I would have wanted to spend these last four years. I've had the pleasure of having teachers who have changed my life (for the better) and made me who I am today. The clubs, organizations, and fine arts departments are all outstanding. There are so many opportunities to get involved. To be honest, the only people who have negative things to say about KO are the ones who make no effort whatsoever in school or trying to get involved. I'm proud to be a panther. Dr. Greeney rocks and the rest of the APs are fantastic.
Posted: April 14, 2014
There is so much enthusiasm an spirit at Klein Oak. The Principal and admin staff are amazing and really involved with the kids. The teachers are great and have a passion for what they do. The school has so much to offer that I know my son will have every opportunity available to him that he possibly can. We live in the area we do so that he can go to such a top rate school.
Posted: April 14, 2014
This school isnt the worst but neither the best, it lacks excitment and the dedication the school staff members need to aspire students to their best.
Posted: April 14, 2014
I have been very proud to be a Klein Oak teacher for the last 29 years. We are blessed with a great student body, caring and innovative administrative leadership, a talented and hardworking faculty and a supportive staff. It is a great place to learn.

My school is a welcoming enviroment that encourages every student to take an active role in their education. Learning can be fun!
Posted: April 13, 2014
I have taught at Klein Oak for 17 years. We have seen changes throughout the years and I couldn't be prouder of how well we have adapted. Klein Oak has the most involved students in the district. The learning here goes beyond the facts taught in the classroom. The extracurricular opportunities are preparing our students for success in the real world. Educating the character is just as important as educating the mind! I also chose to have both of my children attend Klein Oak and I couldn't be happier with my decision. There are challenges in every school. Are we a BIG school? Absolutely. Klein Oak works exceptionally hard to ensure that every single student gets the individual attention they deserve. GREAT school to work and GREAT school to attend!
Posted: April 13, 2014
I'm a sophomore student, Klein Oak just really isn't fun, the teachers and all the people that go to Oak make it un-enjoyable, I'm in some regulars and some Pre-ap classes, in regulars, the classes are so easy it's a joke, and in pre-ap all the teachers think since you're in pre-ap you should know it already, none of my teachers are not very good at working with the students and look down upon students who struggle in there classes, I wish I went to school somewhere else.
Posted: April 13, 2014
Klein Oak HS is a top notch public high school. There is a great deal of diversity, and we work hard to be the best. In everything. Yes, athletics get a lot of accolades, but so do the fine arts programs. We strive for success. Our faculty cares about our students and the community in which we reside. Klein Oak can't be beat. I say this as a former student, teacher, and parent of a future panther.

Great school. Klein Oak really is a first class public high school. My family and I moved here from Chicago Il. and the public schools here in Klein are so much better. My and husband and I would have to pay for both our kids to go to private schools back in Chicago in order to get the same type of education Klein Oak High has to offer. We are super pleased.

This School is a good school only if you know how to work it. Klein oak sports are a good way to enjoy the school. If you are a academic student, try to stay in as many upper level classes as you can and try for the IB program. The computer Science program is amazing and you should try for it.The School is not enjoyable if you chose to stay in regulars classes. The administration is quite difficult to work with and that is due to their technology difficulties.
