To begin this review I wanna by saying I currently attend this school, and yall might think because Im a teenager writing this review yall might think Im writing this because I hate school but in reality this is a horrible and absurd school. When this school gets donations it goes to the sports and not to the actual school programs I also wanna say the food is next level mystery meat and its un nutritious sometimes the food even looks raw and Im scared of getting food poisoning. Dont get me started with the teachers they all have favorites especially and they especially favorite the students who are in sports, theyre guidelines and school policies is insane they dont allow men to have facial hair or long hair and if they do see men with long hair they will immediately send them to shave the facial hair and as for the long hair part you will get ISS aka in school suspension. As for the girls they control what they wear more than the guys teachers are always dress coding girls for their shirts if they dont cover their butts and its usually the male teachers some female but if mostly noticed it to the be the males. So Im recommending that you dont send your child to La Vernia high school its not a school I would wanna send my child to.

There are so many problems with this school. The coaches think they are God and do not care about the students. It does not matter if your vomiting, sick, or hurt. They make you continue running, lifting or doing whatever caused the problem in the first place. It does not matter if you have a medical problem. They do not care! There is no understanding or concern.

Has its good and its bad. Small town scandals at an all time high. How is the athletic director still here? Especially through the constant issues in the athletic department. Would like to see him gone. Hes a bad seed.

When teachers and coaches are bullys, then students will reciprocate that behavior. I think the athletic director has to be the biggest bully, as well as, biggest male pig I have ever encountered.

We have been residents of La Vernia for 3 years and just like the other parent stated we are considered outsiders as well. Bullying is something we have dealt with since we have lived here. Although the teachers do a great job teaching my child does not feel comfortable enough to approach them with bullying issues. This could be an amazing school and an amazing place to live if they would do something to support the students in need!

Having only been a resident of La Vernia for 5 years, we are considered outsiders. The biggest problem with this district? The administration and the families who have lived in this town most of their life.
The administration tends to ignore the students with they approach with a concern (teacher, bullies, etc).
The parents who have been here most of their life carry an arrogance around them that keeps other parents from feeling they are welcome to get involved in PTO, boosters, etc.
They are also the parents of many of the kids who are the bullies.
The teachers are amazing! They truly are the glue that holds the school together.
