The school does not support students who are being bullied. They tend to favor the bully, and make the other child uncomfortable for speaking up. They moved the bully only after the parent requested it, but wanted to move the student being bullied first. Why would the student being bullied have to have their classes moved when they aren't doing anything wrong? Even after the bully was removed from my child's class, the teachers continuously let the bully come into the classroom, because "they wanted him in there." Some of the teachers are rude to the students for no reason. This school covers up too much, and needs a huge change.

We have been residents of La Vernia for 3 years and are considered outsiders. Bullying is something we have dealt with since we have lived here. Although the teachers do a great job teaching, my child does not feel comfortable enough to approach them with bullying issues. This could be an amazing school and an amazing place to live if they would do something to support the students in need!

Quite impressed with La Vernia Junior High. The students get along with each other (6-8). The kids on the sport teams help each other out. There ARE great teachers. The rest of the teachers are good, but could be more into their job. Seems like once the tests are over, so is the teaching with some. The parents WHO DO help are amazing. There ARE parents who do nothing, then complain about what is (or isn't going on). Those parents lack so much, there is no help for them. Kudos to the parents who DO participate. The VICE Principal is more of a leader than the principal.

It's a really nice school, LVISD offers alot! what ever you need they will give it to you, like if there is something that you think they should offer they'll give it to you. We got a new gymnasium and auditorium just because we didn't like our old gym. they have alot of money and the students are welcoming and nice, but if you get on some of the "mean" peoples bad side, they might spread rumors, but usually we can tell that they aren't true. the teachers are VERY nice! they don't just become your teachers, they become amazing friends! And for the students, they get some pretty cool freedom, like right when the last bell rings you can have your phone out,and in 8th grade you can leave campus during lunch. To sum it all up, this school offers alot, is very nice, and is....... AWESOME!!!!!!!!! :D
